Buenos noches Grannmarie- you are quite right, I am loving being a part of your group ?

Grandmabatty Tue 03-May-22 18:36:05

Yiayia Greece and her islands is my absolute favourite holiday destination. I'm particularly fond of North Corfu. The bedroom was a complete success. Thanks to you all for the nice comments. I've just had meatballs with spaghetti in a tomato sauce. I'll leave some in the kitchen. I pulled some basil from my indoor plant and julienned it to add fresh herbs. I may have a nap.

What a lovely bedroom grandmabatty I’m sure your DGSs will enjoy their sleepovers. I’m another one here with that same road rug for DGS although I think he’s outgrown it now. Good news about your oven too
Hopefully all good news when your test results come back Blossoming
I’ve had a busy day in the garden, taken everything out of the shed to give it a good sweep out and then hopefully less has gone back in - that’s the plan anyhow ?
How lovely to receive the champagne Grannmarie and a very Happy Birthday to your DH for tomorrow
A lovely trip to Greece to look forward to Yia is the ‘wobble box’ a caravan ?

I have three cardboard boxes of stoma products. I need to do an inventory so that I am prepared to order what it is I am running short of. The supplier is first class. I cannot fault the support that I've been given from day one. It is a comfort to feel assured of a prompt response.

Mr Soop has returned from cutting the grass. I shall make him a well deserved brew

TOYA. I shall be with you again tomorrow. Thank you for your company. smile moon

Grandmabatty That is a truly delightful bedroom. Your grandson will be be feeling very special. Well done, you.

Shazza Take a deep breath and try to relax. sunshine

Yia I no longer drive. I have lost confidence and would not wish to pose a risk on the roads.
I often think about your daughter-in-law's father. I wish him to be as comfortable and pain-free as the nursing staff can make him.
Greece is a beautiful country. I wouldn't say no to accompanying you on your visit next month. Where is it that you'll be staying?

Blossoming I hope that your blood test results are favourable. Please update us.

Jax I am partial to a proper Bucks Fizz. Slainte! As they say in bonnie Scotland.
The final was as it should be. The best man won. How about that hug? Ronnie appeared to be overcome.

muse The beach scene looks amazing. A stunning location.

Grannmarie I am also intrigued with Ladyleftfieldlover's user name. At first, I thought that it could be inspired by a liking for cricket. I've since ruled that out. grin

Buenos tardes, Soop and lovely Kitchen people, from sunny ? Ibiza.

Your wishes are magic, Jaxjacky, we now have glorious sunshine after a cloudy start, thank you!

Nannytopsy, many congratulations on your pension birthday, enjoy your celebrations ?.

Talking of fizz, DHand I are chilling on the balcony with a complimentary bottle of bubbles which arrived this afternoon in a big ice bucket with a lovely card, for his 70th birthday tomorrow, from our management team at the timeshare apartment. Lovely surprise!
We're listening to Tony Blackburn's Sounds of the Sixties on BBCSounds, lovely way to pass an hour or two, lots of reminiscing.

Blossoming, Shazza, I hope your tests/ review go wel.l ? My dear friend always says, Your health is your wealth.

Grandmabatty, you have achieved a lot today, relax now, I'm leaving Spanish fizz in Soop's fridge, enjoy!

YiaYia, thinking of you and DDIL, such a sad time. I'm glad you have your holiday to look forward to. Whereabout in Greece do you go to? We've visited Athens on cruises, and we spent a lovely week in Kefalonia, beautiful place.

ChocolatelovingGran, I'll bet you're glad you joined our lovely Kitchen crowd!

TOYA.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 03-May-22 16:12:14

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners hoping you are all well this afternoon.

Blossoming fingers crossed your blood sugar test comes back good when you speak to the Dr.
Nannytopsy hope your having a lovely birthday ?
Yiayia it really does feel like it’s never ending with covid. We still have 17,000 active cases in the East Riding. Your Greek holiday will be something to look forward to though.
Grandmabatty no wonder your DGS is happy with his bed. We have that road rug as well up in the GCs bedroom.

I have been running around today doing various jobs. I needed a medication review and managed to finally get one. Next Wednesday and all over the phone ah well it’s the way things are going I suppose.
Twice today I’ve pulled my credit card out of my pocket along with my car keys and dropped it. I really need to take more care! Luckily there are honest people around.

Hope your afternoon and evening are enjoyable. Take care ?

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 03-May-22 16:10:41

A very successful afternoon, Grandmabatty!

Grandmabatty Tue 03-May-22 15:36:19

The bedroom is set up for the boys. The cot is in the corner. I'm very pleased with it all. Then the man came and fixed my oven for a fraction of the cost of a new one. And finally I have had two and a half hours of watching dgs1 playing with bricks and loving his dinosaur bed at Grandma's house. A cup of tea is in order I feel. Have a good evening Kitcheners.

soop Tue 03-May-22 13:47:35

I popped into our kitchen thinking that there may be a few posts to catch up with. WRONG! I shall need to return later. I have ironing on the go and will need to finish it before dedicating my attentions to you lovely lot.

Before I leave for an hour or so...a warm welcome to Ladyleftfieldlover. You will be happy to share time with some very special people. they are kindness personified. flowers

Happy Birthday Nannytopsy have a great day.???

Good morning Kitcheners.A bit overcast but mild here.We saw Dil on Saturday her father is about the same he pulled the feeding tube out,now waiting to see what happens next. While visiting DiL her friend arrived, we heard yesterday she has covid! and so it goes on.It is what it is just got to wait and see and keep testing.

A bitter sweet day yesterday, we sold the wobble box.DH was struggling a bit with the driving,I don’t feel confident driving it far, so it was the most sensible thing to do.A very nice couple bought it so it went to a good home. The good thing is we are now planning a trip to our beloved Greece next month.I am so looking forward to going back.
Have a good day all.

Grandmabatty Tue 03-May-22 09:53:35

It's all go at Batty Towers. I'm awaiting the bed delivery and in the mean time I phoned someone to look at my non working oven. They're coming out early afternoon so I've just cleaned said oven. Who knows what will happen next?

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 03-May-22 09:43:43

Nannytopsy, happy pension day, what an excellent reason for cake and fizz! Congratulations ?

Blossoming Tue 03-May-22 09:38:59

Happy Birthday NannyTopsy, have a wonderful day ?

Good morning dear Kitcheners. I’ve been up and about early, blood test done. It’s my blood sugar check so will show if my diet changes and increased activity are working. I can ring for results in a couple of days. Decaff coffee available along with cocoa and orange oatbites. Not homemade but healthy and delicious ?. I’m ready for a nap now.

brook2704 Tue 03-May-22 09:22:45

? Hello and welcome, Ladyleftfieldlover!
There must be a story behind that name!

ShazzaKanazza Tue 03-May-22 08:48:46

Happy birthday Nannytopsy have a brilliant day. Thankyou for the champs and cake??

Jaxjacky Tue 03-May-22 08:48:08

Happy Birthday Nannytopsy ?? I’ve bought some freshly squeezed orange juice, Buck’s Fizz is allowed this early, cheers ?.

Grandmabatty Tue 03-May-22 08:00:48

Happy birthday to you Nannytopsy. I hope you have a lovely day ???

Nannytopsy Tue 03-May-22 07:52:23

Phew! How busy have you lot been? Houses sold, holidays booked, hospitals arranged and gardens weeded. Not to mention decluttering!
I made it to our gathering with family and friends in Ross on Wye but DH was still positive. Our family let the side down a bit - two were working, DH had Covid and pregnant DD has a blood pressure scare, so stayed at home with her feet up. DS and DGC made it and we had a great time.
It’s my birthday today and I finally get my pension, so there is lemon drizzle cake and champagne on the side. Since it’s virtual, I can afford to treat you to the very best ?.
Happy days everyone!

ShazzaKanazza Tue 03-May-22 07:51:39

Good Morning dear Kitcheners.
Ladyleftfieldlover a big welcome to this lovely warm kitchen. Your cooking and baking sounds very delish. You look like you have a lot of decisions to make with your paint colours. They are fun decisions though.
Enjoy your day everyone I’ll pop back later.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 03-May-22 07:40:38

Muse, what a glorious beach !

Jaxjacky Tue 03-May-22 07:33:06
