Good morning from rainy Colchester. It felt milder when I went to put the rubbish out for the bin men. We don't have bins in this part of town so the black sacks contain all that can't be recycled. Recently magpies have taken to attacking the bags so I have to triple bag.
Tuesday is charity shop day. Hope we are busier than last week.
Love to all ?x

Good Morning Tuesday 5th April 2022
(55 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its just starting to become daylight here in brackley but its dry outside.
Today ,apart from staying local and await phone call from my opticians as to new specs .
A quiet day watching TV etc.
Take Care,
Mick
Grandmattie, I’m so sorry to hear that. Your hubby is so lucky to have you there. I hope that the consultant can help ?
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from a very grey, drizzly Essex by the sea.
I'm sorry to hear about your DH GM. You are having a very rough time and I send my very best wishes to you both.
Gingster sorry to hear that your DD is being given the run around by the hospital. Love to you both.
I am going into town shortly to choose some new glasses, varifocal glasses and sunglasses. A small fortune I should imagine.
Have the best Tuesday you can and best wishes to all xxx
That sounds so harrowing for you both, grandMattie. It could well be a side effect of his painkillers and I’m glad there’s a visit from the consultant today. Thinking of you both. ?✝️
To respond to comments on the photo: it was taken from a plane by a specialist aerial photographer who then contacted DH to sell him a digital copy. Yes, the property was once a farm, built in 1850. DH (initially with his late first wife) kept two horses for many years and a donkey for a while in my time here but goats are another idea!! It is very isolated in contrast to our busier surroundings in Torquay! DH enjoys being a hermit!

Good morning everyone from a brighter Northampton. Hoping it stays dry as I am about to put some washing on.
Just a morning of pottering, and after lunch a health walk followed by coffee.
I had my spring booster on Saturday, and have had a really sore arm this time, but thank goodness it is better this morning.
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning from Durham. Quite mild and overcast. Coffee with a friend this morning then I’m taking my engagement ring to be valued - a long story.
DD2s dogs are enjoying their stay with me, different smells on our walls. DD2 and family are sending lovely pics from NY - I was very concerned they were taking DGS2 away so far and so soon.
?GM - you are Superwoman and playing a blinder looking after your DH. Hope you get his night terrors under control, and have a peaceful day.
Sending? to GM hope Dr can help . It's very damp here at the moment .Ginster good good news keeps coming for your daughter .Baubles that must have been a shock . Hope everyone has a good day .
Good morning from a rainy day in the Lakes.
Yesterday we were privileged to see twin lambs born next to the garden wall.
Trip to Bowness and Beatrix Potter today, never tire of the classic tales.
My thoughts are with grandMattie, the morphine gave DH hallucinations and made him irrational. He also managed to get out of bed and down the stairs when he was bedridden.
Good morning all from a brighter looking Algarve. It’s been so cold and wet that I hope we’re in for a better day today.
I’ve been cut off from you all for nearly three days because of iPad problems, eventually cured early afternoon yesterday but I daren’t search back to catch up as that is what seemed to cause the problem.
Ashcombe how lush and green your French property is, a lot of work there to keep it under control.
Morning from a wet dull S Lanarkshire. ?and prayers to you and your husband grandMattie.
That was a very sad start to your day baubles, thoughts to the family and friends of your good volunteer.
In comparison this is so trivial but youngest DD came home from her lovely break away to a husband with Covid and a son with chicken pox! So frustrated that I can’t go and help with the wee one. He is devastated to be missing out on the Encanto holiday club which he got one day of, (probably having infected other children. ) Totally fine in the morning, covered in spots by 2 o’clock when he came home.
Wishing a good or at least better day to all???
Late good morning from a milder S Hants.
My kind thoughts are with you gMattie I do hope the visit today can alleviate your DH’s night terrors, so wearing for you both.
Gingster it sounds so incredibly frustrating dealing with multiple medical people, I’m speechless.
So many of you are having struggles at the moment, I hope today brings you a glimmer of comfort ??.
Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s another rainy day in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 10°C.
I have a zoom meeting at 1pm that will last an hour. No other plans, just housework.
Thinking of all our grans going through difficult times. I hope everyone has the best day possible.
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Such a hard time grandMattie, I really feel for you ?
I’m enjoying this IPad, a step up from my mini IPad, but the cover strangely only covers the front and keeps coming off.
DS left last night, lovely to have him here and I appreciated all the little jobs he did for me, including putting a clasp on a broken gold necklace.
I videotaped myself singing songs I am going to perform and it was as if my mother and sister were in the room. Little mannerisms too. It’s a good idea to watch yourself singing even if you hate it and spot bad habits. One of our guitarists is having problems family wise and can’t make rehearsals so not sure what is going to happen there…
Hope you have a good day.
Feeling slightly more like myself so hoping recovery is on the way. Nice bright morning and I ought to be in the garden but lack the energy so will muck out the fridge and do a little gentle tidying instead as wonderful cleaner is not here because I am leprous and her husband is vulnerable. Still, nobody is crossing the threshold so nobody will see how clean or otherwise the house is.
Thinking of gM and hoping the consultant has some answers. So hard.
Hope you receive some help and that there is an improvement grandMattie.
?
Good morning Mick and all from dry and overcast Anglesey.
Nice to see you posting Maria59, hope your grandson continues to improve after his ordeal.
Frustration city for you Gingster, hope a good treatment plan is soon in place. I’ve notice one or two refer to you as Ginster, wouldn’t blame you if this was more appropriate at the moment.
Glad your husband is on the mend Grandmadinosaur, it’ll be good to have him home.
grandMattie, dear dear lady, what can I say, I know you’ll dig deep and keep on keeping on.
Keep looking out for and appreciating those random pink flamingos everyone
???
Lots of ???and ? for you grandMattie. I do hope the hospice consultant comes with oodles of support for you both.
Good morning Mick, Annie and all. It is very grey here and
looks as though it might rain later on.
GrandMattie, sorry to hear that you are having disturbed nights, and that your DH is having night terrors. Lets hope that the visit from the Dr will offer some solutions.
There is an awful lot of sickness going round , so to all who are feeling poorly, I send wishes for speedy recoveries.
This afternoon, I have my monthly infusion and next lot of chemo tablets. It comes round very quickly, but is keeping me going.
On Sunday morning, I went into the bathroom and found the thermostatic valve from the radiator, on the floor. Luckily it must seal itself, as there was no leakage. Thankfully the plumber is coming on Friday to fix it. Also an electrician to have a look at the under cupboard kitchen lights. Then this morning I broke a glass. Is that the 3 things that have gone wrong? I hope so, can't be doing with anything else.
Have a good day one and all.
Hello all
Just posting to to say something to Mattie, please
Could it be a urinary tract infection?
My husband was exactly the same a few weeks ago.
Sending you both love
Morning all from a grey and blowy West Oxfordshire. ???to all of those suffering angst today. I woke up with a migraine so took a sumatriptan straight away. I now feel zonked so am unable to go to our WI coffee morning. At least I won £25 on the Premium Bonds. Tonight I will be cooking the new season’s English asparagus, hollandaise sauce, poached eggs, bacon and muffins. An annual treat!
Glad your gastroscopy went well Gwen ?
Kind thoughts to GM and her DH.
My DH had a sudden severe UTI recently-I thought he’d had a stroke so it does need checking, poor man. He can do without that as well can’t he?
Hello,
I’m Nettie and new to Gransnet.
I live in beautiful West Wales and can be quite lonely at times so I thought a quick check into something like this might be good! I like to see different points of view on things!
Have a good day All
