I've been thinking for a long time that the Gransnet membership is an untapped resource, full of articulate and active people, with experience and contacts in all spheres. who could be mobilised to e.g. lobby contacts, write letters. and 'actually make a difference' to the lives of older people.
Obviously, we would have to steer clear of emotive or political issues or topics where the membership is clearly split 50/50, which leads me to consider what we are all agreed on. Which in turn leads me to my suggestion of a suitable target for a first try
= LABELS ON THE BACK NECK OF GARMENTS.
This may seem trivial, bu I think has been the most recurring complaint on Gransnet since its inception.
What do you think of this idea?? If you think it would work, what would you like us to campaign for/against?
