Zelenskyy will be remembered in hundreds of years time as an absolute legend.

I was talking to my British/Ukrainian friend about President Zelensky and saying how so many people admired him. She came back with ‘He’s standard issue Ukrainian male,’ which made me laugh.

Zelensky was not well regarded because his former occupation was a professional comedian, he certainly knows how to “play” his audience and communicate.
As a wartime leader he has proved exceptionally effective, not making any comparison but Churchill was in the wilderness until a wartime leader was needed.

Every time I listen to him on the news my heart lurches, he is trying so hard to do the best he can for his country.
The song suggested by travelsafar is very appropriate and brought tears to my eyes.

Churchill and his party were overwhelmingly voted out after the war ended.

Churchill was widely hated for what happened in the Dardanelles and there are people in Dundee and Glasgow who still consider him to be persona non grata. Then WW2 happened.

President Zelensky is committed to his country and protection of his people’s freedom. He rather reminds me of Lech Walesa the Polish leader of Solidarity in the 1980s. He was adamant to not let communism dominate both men are strong willed and determined.
