I went to a concert at the Albert Hall last month... the orchestra started the night off by playing the Ukraine national anthem?? ....it was very moving

President Zelensky is committed to his country and protection of his people’s freedom. He rather reminds me of Lech Walesa the Polish leader of Solidarity in the 1980s. He was adamant to not let communism dominate both men are strong willed and determined.

Every time I listen to him on the news my heart lurches, he is trying so hard to do the best he can for his country.

Zelensky was not well regarded because his former occupation was a professional comedian, he certainly knows how to “play” his audience and communicate.
As a wartime leader he has proved exceptionally effective, not making any comparison but Churchill was in the wilderness until a wartime leader was needed.

I was talking to my British/Ukrainian friend about President Zelensky and saying how so many people admired him. She came back with ‘He’s standard issue Ukrainian male,’ which made me laugh.

I worry about his future. When this terrible war ends I know that ‘murderer’ Putin will try to have him assassinated. I hope someone gets to Putin first but I doubt it.
