Good morning from Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear you have succumbed Marydoll hope the anti virals help.
Pleased your DD is home and not in too much pain. It is a tough road but does get better.
Great news Scentia and welcome echt.

We are off to Brighton for the weekend today to spend time with DS, DiL and GC. Hoping the post Covid symptoms clear up. Coming back via London and staying with DD and SiL.

Hoping everyone has a lovely weekend and those who are unwell recover quickly.

Good morning everyone.
I had a bad night with horrible dreams. Good job I don’t have to drive up to Derbyshire today.
Family will be joining us for the long weekend and we will stay on for a few more days.
Hope the anti-virals do their workMarydoll
Healing thoughts to all who need them and hope for a little sunshine .

Mak27 welcome and looking forward to your posts. Enjoy your break away.
Pittcity put our bedding on the line yesterday and it was dried and straight back on the bed. It smelt lovely.

ShazzaKanazza Thu 14-Apr-22 08:06:52

Good morning Mick and everyone from what promises to be a lovely day in Hull.
Where to start this morning after reading all your posts

granMattie ? we are all with you and your DH x

echt welcome from Melbourne looking forward to your posts.

Gaga you made me laugh with your DH snoring. Love that hat.

Kitty it must have been heartbreaking seeing your brave DD upset. Poor love

Scentia after yesterdays worrying post it’s so good that little tiger is still strong inside.

Marydoll I think it was a matter of time before it hit you after being so close to your DH and Dollie. I told my DH it had hit you and we both wish you well at the hospital.

Today I’ve got my two best friends coming over for lunch and one is bringing her DGD. I’ve invited my DD and baby B as well. They haven’t met baby so it will be a few fun hours. I decorated for Easter yesterday. Yellow everywhere, it makes me feel so cheerful.
Enjoy all your dog walks and family visits. ?
Take care everyone and hope Thursday brings a moment of joy??

Pittcity Thu 14-Apr-22 07:56:43

Good morning from sunny Colchester. 19°forecast today.
Bedding is in the machine and going on the line.
I have an empty today.
A walk to Aldi and maybe another later for a browse in The Range. Both are less than 15 minutes from home.
Love to all ? x

Urmstongran Thu 14-Apr-22 07:54:32

Oh Marydoll that’s a shock but maybe like a Sword of Damacles, not totally unexpected. Our clinicians are much more aware of excellent fine tuned treatments two years on. Get well soon.

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry, mild and almost sunny. Our little family are off to a wedding. A nice day ahead for the bride for photographs. We are picking the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss at 8pm. We will sleep over at theirs while mum & dad enjoy the evening, a stay at the hotel and a leisurely breakfast with their friends. Nice.

? to you echt. Himself loves the Grand Prix and the weather in Melbourne last weekend looked gorgeous. The circuit road was parallel to a sparkling aquamarine sea from SKY news aerial shots. Beautiful indeed.

Enjoy Thursday all who can. I’ve lost another 0.5lbs. I’m a bit disappointed as I’ve been so good but at least I know I’m eating very healthily! Himself think I sit about too much and need exercise. On reflection he’s right of course. I need to walk more. I’m glad nicer weather (and our holiday next weekend) is on the cards. That will tempt me to go out more!

Grandmabatty Thu 14-Apr-22 07:45:19

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and dry with grey skies. Marydoll I hope the anti virals work their magic. I'll be thinking of you. Scentia that is good news for your daughter. Baubles you are a very busy lady these days! Mick do what you feel comfortable doing*.
Yesterday was good. Mum was on good form, then I had a productive session at art class. I arrived home to see a bouquet of roses at my door. They were an Easter gift from mum. She is a really difficult person but occasionally glimpses of the nicer one can be seen.
Today I am meeting friends for lunch. One I haven't seen since before the pandemic. Have a good day all.

brook2704 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:42:51

Oh gagagran you made me giggle with your description of your DH sounding like a donkey! I love the Easter Bonnet too, it’ll be very fetching I’m sure … enjoy the parade ?

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:42:36

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Welcome Echt it will be good to hear your tales of ‘down under’
Take your time Mick it will all be there when you are ready
You are having quite a time of it GrandMattie hope everything settles down soon for you and DH
Oh dear! Marydoll! Another fine mess you’ve got into!! Try not to worry too much, when I had it it was fairly mild. The worst part was the isolation, but the hospital staff are there for you if need be.
Today it’s the Sainsburies shopping delivery. Had a good mosey in an out of town shopping centre yesterday and ended up in Lidl - think DH likes it there.
Hope your DD soon feels the benefit of her surgery Kittylester
Have the best day possible folks

Scentia Thu 14-Apr-22 07:42:12

Oh Mary I have just read about you having Covid. Stay well and keep hydrated I wish you well ❤️

Mak27 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:39:37

Hello, I’ve been reading posts for months and absolutely love it, decided I’d start posting after Easter but really would like to wish you well Marydoll and hope everything works out well for you. Hope to ‘speak’ to everyone next week, I’m off to Scarborough tomorrow for a couple of days. Hope everyone has a lovely long week-end and very best wishes to everyone who is poorly, if thoughts of you can make you better you will be !

Grammaretto Thu 14-Apr-22 07:37:42

Good Morning from the Scottish Borders where it's supposed to be warm and sunny today but instead it's driech.
Oh dear Marydoll . I am sorry to hear you haven't escaped covid
Hope all goes well and you make a good recovery and are not too unwell.
I am taking aged P to visit her DGGc today. Should I? Probably not but she wants to go.
My helper discovered she has headlice yesterday. Oh the joys. She must have arrived with them from her previous host family....
Welcome echt and my good wishes to Melbourne. A great city. smile
Have as best a day as you can everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 14-Apr-22 07:33:01

Scentia what lovely news. Congratulations to you all.

Scentia Thu 14-Apr-22 07:29:13

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where the sun has found his hat and it still fits?
DD went to the EPAU for a scan last night following her bleeding and the little tiger is still intact and looking healthy with a strong heartbeat. She is nearly 8 weeks pregnant❤️ It was very much a shock to be pregnant as she had a coil fitted but they (DSiL) will get their head around it soon enough!!
Off to work then on nanna duties at lunchtime. Not sure if I will cope with three?
Take care everyone and I will read your news at tea break time.

baubles Thu 14-Apr-22 07:26:48

Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

The best laid plans aft gang aglay Mattie, I hope the resumption of the drugs won’t upset your DH today.

Ah Marydoll I’m sorry the virus eventually got to you, you are in my prayers.

It’s my day off work today to allow me to do our usual childminding in the Capital. A different kind of busy today.

Welcome to this lovely thread echt.

Hope everyone finds something to make them smile today.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 14-Apr-22 07:26:35

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it is warm and a blue sky.

Oh Marydoll so sorry to hear your news especially after all your efforts to avoid the virus.
I hope everything goes well for you ??

Welcome echt and all other new posters.

Yesterday was a lovely day spent with GS. We went to the park, had lunch at a cafe and baked buns. He also amused himself playing with his floor mat and his cars that run on it. He didn’t seem as frantic as after school when we have him. Obviously he has more energy to get rid of then after being stuck in a classroom!
No plans for today. I might meet DIL and GC for coffee after lunch.

Take care everyone.

Gingster Thu 14-Apr-22 07:25:40

Good morning all and it’s a bright one here in Essex.

A busy day today - shopping, more baking and preps for family day tomorrow. Eldest gd coming this afternoon to lend a hand and then staying overnight. Haven’t seen her since February as she’s away at Uni.

Marydoll - I hope all goes well for you ?.

Welcome to all new posters ?.

Wishing you all a pleasant day. ???

brook2704 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:24:56

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry with some light grey cloud
Hi echt and all new posters, you’re very welcome on here, please join in!
Hoping for a speedy recovery marydoll , it’s good that the treatment is progressing quickly and hopefully without any side effects
Today I’m hoping to carry on with the gardening and cleaning jobs, yesterday I went to the gym instead as it was so wet and soggy
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Gagagran Thu 14-Apr-22 07:18:39

Good Morning everyone from a foggy south coast 8.0c. Set to clear and brighten up later.

Feeling a bit washed out after another poor night. I was in a deep sleep and was wakened by a series of very loud noises. In my half awake state I though it was a donkey braying outside my bedroom door until I realised it was DH having one of his prolonged (and loud) sneezing fits! Took ages to drop off again then and surfaced several times through the night.

It's my WI meeting today with an Easter Bonnet parade and I have made, and will wear my creation as seen above. Not a pretty-pretty one but might raise a smile!

Really sorry to hear the dreaded virus has caught you Marydoll and hope that you get sorted at the hospital. I have said a little prayer for you as requested.

Sending supportive thoughts and good wishes to all Grans with worries and problems. Keep strong. Tomorrow is another day. flowers sunshine

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 14-Apr-22 07:18:12

Morning all from a slightly damp looking West Oxfordshire. I am off to London later to stay with son and his family. I usually drive but as I’m still getting bouts of post covid fatigue I will drive to Oxford and get the train. There are then two tubes and a short walk. I will come back on the train with my other son tomorrow. He is coming back for Easter. Daughter will come home on Saturday. At least I’ve already prepared most of the Easter Sunday lunch feast!

merlotgran Thu 14-Apr-22 07:16:58

Good morning everyone from a foggy south coast. The foghorn always reminds me of my teenage years on the Isle of Wight….Happy Times!

Thank goodness your hospital is acting quickly Marydoll and hoping that you are soon feeling better and reassured.

Housework this morning before taking Peggy to the vet for her booster jab.

Aldi and Morrisons had a good selection of plants for sale yesterday. I got a bit carried away, completely forgetting I’m going away for Easter. My conservatory looks like a garden centre. ?

Hope everyone has a good day.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:07:44

kittylester sending you and your daughter (((hugs))) it’s a long journey both physically and mentally for you both.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 14-Apr-22 07:06:32

Morning Mick and all

Mick take things slowly u til you have your mojo back.

Marydoll you really do not like the quiet life do you! I wish you well, hope the anti-virals are kind to your body and that the pesky Covid retreats PDQ.

grandMattie , I do not know how you cope, you are one strong lady.

Hello echt Melbourne has a little place in my heart, we have visited several times.

It’s blue sky, sunny and mild here in S E Essex haven’t got any plans will just go with the flow.
The meeting with structural engineer yesterday was positive and reassuring. His firm are willing to do the chemical underpinning which is far less intrusive than the old fashioned way, and we do not have to move out. The inside remedial work is going to be horrendous, but after a long chat DH and I have decided we will stay put and just live in whatever parts of the house has not got builders in it…

I will look up your friends books Ashcombe I am always on the lookout for new authors

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

kittylester Thu 14-Apr-22 07:04:22

Morning all from a cloudy and dampish North Leicestershire. The sky looks quite promising however.

DD2 and co arrive this evening and the gardener is coming this morning.
Dh had his booster yesterday and has a very sore arm this morning.

Thank you for your kind messages for DD1 who came home yesterday. She was a bit weepy yesterday but had very little pain.

Sending love and best wishes to everyone and welcome to all newbies
