I loved The fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin- loved Leonard Rossiter. Also Dads Army, the Liver birds and Steptoe and Son. I think they were all better than the ones dished up today- although it’s possibly my age shockshockshowinggrinshock

Butterflies & Liverbirds for me. Anyone remember a Sunday evening series called Telfords change' with Hannah Gordon?

MayBee70 Fri 15-Apr-22 14:37:10

Butterflies was a favourite of mine. And, more recently, My Family. The earlier Likely Lads. I loved James Bolam. And The Liver Birds. Oh and Kate and Allie.

Peter Egan was on Facebook the other day doing some sort of appeal. He’s still gorgeous!

mayisay I agree they don't do comedy like they used to do, so much now is really course & vulgar, loads of swear words and even unpleasantness. My favourites were Only fools, Keeping Up Appearances, Dad's Army, To the Manor Born & The Good Life. Not sitcoms but for good humour you can't forget Eric & Ernie and The Two Ronnies.

Ever Decreasing Circles. Richard Briers as Martin, was fabulous

My absolute favourite as mentioned on here before was Man About The House with lovely Richard O'Sullivan. We watched repeats recently and it's was so nostalgic, especially the girls' fashions.

Another fan of Keeping Up Appearances. I've been watching re-runs recently, and still find them very funny. Only Fools and Horses, and also anything with Ronnie Barker. They beat "new comedy" which I don't find funny at all!

The good life. The High Life which only ran for eight episodes but I found it hilarious. It started Alan Cummings, Forbes Masson and Siobhan Redmond. Very Scottish so might have been local to me.
