We had a lovely day today with a visit from the Easter rabbit and lots of chocolate eggs, crafts for the children and hot cross buns for the grown ups! A few pics for you

Looks like it was a fun day for everyone! I still remember going to events like this with my young children and the excitement of hunting for the hidden eggs along with the grand entrance of the Easter rabbit. Lovely memories.

We had something similar: householders were allocated a number that they display in their front window, along with a decorated cardboard or paper Easter egg. Local children go on the hunt to find as many as they can and every child taking part gets a chocolate egg. The best decorative egg also gets a prize. It's been amazing to see so many talented artists and crafters!

These events are even more precious after the lock downs. I'm glad you all got together and had a good time. The Easter Bunny reminded me of The Vicar of Dibley!

lol * coastpath*!! It’s actually Mr Katek in disguise! Says he’s lost 4lbs after spending 3 hours in the bunny suit with underfloor heating on in the Hall!

How nice! I know our town is hosting an egg hunt for the little ones, but I will not go to watch. I think my grandkids will go with their Mum. A friend of mine is having an egg hunt at her house, and has invited neighbourhood children plus my GC. Her GC are out of town, but she loves interacting with the kiddies, and she is very warm hearted.

I will try to get over to her house to watch, but it depends on how my cooking is going at home. I will have the family over for dinner on Sunday.

Oh poor man! I hope he got to bring home some Easter eggs to build his strength back up.

Katek Fri 15-Apr-22 22:13:20

Oh yes! Half of one eaten already!

Our town had an Easter Egg hunt and my gs got an Easter Egg. Apparently they had 500 eggs to giveaway as later on a couple of children came round to check he had had an Easter egg as they had a spare token.
There was also an Easter Bonnet parade for the children, a brass band was playing and there was a magic show and balloon modeling going on. The event was very busy because we had beautiful weather.
