Urm you called?

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 24-Apr-22 08:14:46

Good morning from a dull Oxfordshire, hope it perks up a bit yesterday was also dull, but windy too. We could do with some rain, I’m watering the pots each evening.
I had a baking day yesterday, so today is an idle day, MissOops will bring her dog later and she will stay as usual until tomorrow evening, so a dog walk later in the day, leftovers for lunch.
Hope your DH has a pain free day GM
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs for those who are not having an easy time at the moment.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Still a bit breezy and dry. Had to put the hose on the garden last night and it's only April.
House full of males this morning and all sorts of food has already been devoured. The three youngest will be departing at some time today leaving DH and I to clear up. The five year old hasn't stopped bouncing since 7am.

Hope the weather in Portugal improves MOMB as I am arriving in Lisbon on Thursday night for a long weekend.

Love to all ?x

Good morning from Portugal where we are on holiday. Weather a bit mixed but not as good as at home I think! Great to see our two sons who live here. Not seen them since before the pandemic. Have the best day you can all.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another grey and cloudy start to the day but at least it’s dry.
I’ll be pottering in the garden most of the day and catching up with housework.
The antiques fair sounds interesting biglouis hoping you get what you need

Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

GrannyGravy13 Sun 24-Apr-22 07:49:48

Morning Mick and all

The sky is blue, the trees in the garden are rustling gently and I have absolutely nothing planned other than roast pork at around 7ish.

grandMattie wishing your DH a peaceful pain free day ?

Enjoy Ipswich Sar63

Gingster I expect your little GD is a mixture of nerves and excitement.

Wishing you all a relaxing and peaceful Sunday

Morning all from a dullish West Oxfordshire. I am back in bed having waved off son, his partner and my granddaughter. They have to be back in London by 9 am. I am still recovering from a hideous cold but my cough has improved. I almost lost my voice completely yesterday, which some might say is a good thing. A quiet day today, I think. It was quite hectic having a 5-year old and her parents for a weekend! It’s good she takes after her dad and enjoys cooking. She helped fry some onions for gravy and decorate the Pavlova. ???for lots of you.

cornergran Sun 24-Apr-22 07:34:54

Morning Mick, morning All. The sun is trying to shine and brighten our corner of Somerset.

A quiet day planned after yesterdays drive home. Time to start revisiting summer clothes, see what still fits. We’ve a table booked for lunch, the kitchen here is closed until tomorrow.

It’s more than hard watching someone we love struggle with pain, wishing your husband a more comfortable day today grandmattie, as you say, poor man.

Thinking of all with individual mountains to climb. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Susan56 Sun 24-Apr-22 07:28:23

Sar have a lovely day at the Rugby ?

Thankyou everyone for their good wishes for my DD. I had some lovely pms too. Very kind of you to think of us.❤️.

Today little gd has dress rehearsals for her first dancing show. Her mum and I will drop her off (not allowed to stay) ?. DD will come back for lunch and we will pick her up later this afternoon. DS1 and family are coming in for coffee so we’ll have a nice chat, leisurely lunch and a relaxing afternoon. ?.

Marydoll Sun 24-Apr-22 07:25:36

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, with beautiful blue skies.

GM, I hope today is a better day for you and your husband.

It is lovely to hear of people getting out and enjoying their activities. Monk it sounds an ideal day ahead for you and biglouis, I hope you have a successful outing. I haven't been to an antique fair for years and have been nagging asking Mr MD since before the pandemic, to take me to the one at Ingleston, in Edinburgh. Hope springs eternal!
I love a good rummage, I have a beautiful emerald ring, which I bought for a song many years ago, while DH was at Ayr races and I shot off on my own. That was in the days before Bargain Hunt!. Everyone is an expert, now.

Wishing you all a pleasant day ahead, and for those who are suffering and troubled, a gentle one. ?

Grandmabatty Sun 24-Apr-22 07:19:05

Good morning all from Polmont. 6° and a bright day without being sunny if you see what I mean. Much calmer this morning. The strong wind appears to have subsided. grandmattie I really feel for you and your husband. As you say, poor man.
Today I really will have to go to Aldi as I have little left in the fridge. Other than that, a quiet day again. Have a good day all

Sar53 Sun 24-Apr-22 06:21:43

Good morning from a sunny Essex by the sea but still there is a cold wind.
We are off to Ipswich early doors to a rugby Festival. Should be a nice day out as I haven't been there before.
Enjoy Sunday everyone xx

Good morning, all, from a dreary Torbay.

Yesterday improved and became quite pleasant later so we had a good day at my holiday home which appeared to have survived the Winter! Easy journeys both ways helped and we found petrol on sale for £153.9 per litre, the cheapest hereabouts.

More driving today as I’ve promised to take DH to a model railway exhibition near Taunton this morning. After lunch we're due back in Torquay at The Little Theatre to join the cast of ‘Allo, ‘Allo for a read through. Yes, this will be our third attempt to stage this play in August, the pandemic having prevented us for the past two summers!

I hope Urmstongran is safely in sunny Spain and others on holidays enjoy themselves. With thoughts and prayers for you and your DH, grandMattie and others with burdens to bear. ??????

biglouis Sun 24-Apr-22 06:14:29

Good morning everyone. Its just after 6am here in south Manchester. A fine but chilly morning and I am off to an antique fair to (hopefully) buy some stock for my online business. Ive not been to this venue for over two years so I look forward to seeing some familiar faces from the trade.

I used to stall out at amtique fairs myself back in the 1970s/1980s and have been active in the antiques trade since the 1960s. You need to be fit and hardy to do that. My mobility is no longer up to it. Typically I will be back home by 10 am then its off to bed to catch up on some well deserved sleep.

grandMattie Sun 24-Apr-22 06:13:14

Good morning from a clear, apricot-skied E Kent.
Bad night with pain; I had to give morphine twice, poor man.
We had a visit from my friend yesterday morning, but nothing else - DH stayed lying down most of the time. He enjoyed the pumpkin soup I made for his dinner.
today, I shall go to church early, and spend the rest of the day watching him...
I have sent a mail to the hospice giving the latest developments - hope they can help.
I hope that today will bring hope and relief to those who need it. Carpe diem.

monk08 Sun 24-Apr-22 06:11:43

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country. Up with the lark this morning DH on his 1st fishing contest of the year, so I've an empty.
I will take a trip into town and have a wander around the shops, then come back and finish my book I started yesterday.
Will catch up with everybody's news later, enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ?.
