I had a collection of quotes I used when I worked. My favourites were:

‘Do as you would be done by’ has always seemed a good one to me.

When I was a TA, I worked for five long years with one particularly disorganised _and very lazy_male teacher.
He used to say
‘If you want something doing well; get Miss Cornforth to do it’
And he did!

I’ve always wondered where you’re supposed to stuff it! ?

My Dad had sayings like:

- If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well
- no time like the present
- a place for everything and everything in its place
- a job begun is half done

I think he was a bit OCD.

But the last one is very true.

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

Never assume anything. It makes an ass out of u and me.

Dad's favourite saying was: Honesty is the best policy, cheaters never prosper.

It's all very well having sayings but mainly they don't help me I feel.

So if I think about the first one from violetsky -
"Spend the weekend working towards the life you want instead of recovering from the life you have"

This is all very well if you actually don't need to recover from the week you've had. If the week you've had has left you with enough energy to "work towards the life you want" then fair enough. Otherwise it seems like a recipe for a melt-down.

I understand, I have Graves and Fibromyalgia.

I am trying to find a balance, I am feeling very achy after a busy weekend... Not the best start to monday before work but proud of what was accomplished

Life is what happens when you are making other plans.
My mum used to say your biggest fear will probably never happen and if it does you will cope with it-something I have found true.

This really applies to me, in fact I've kept a note of it, thanks Bluebelle. Sometimes a saying really resonates with you, and your current circumstances or state of mind.
