Good Morning all, its so busy on here today.
Welcome to Ali23, I haven't noticed you on the thread before, I hope you and the other newbies continue to post.
Without meaning to sound patronising, Mumofmadboys, what a generous spirit and kind heart you have, opening up your home. I am in awe of you, being so proactive. Not an easy road ahead for that poor family and some adjusting for you and yours.
I wish you all well.
I'm pretty tired after yesterday's hospital visit and my efforts at co-ercing DH to buying new chinos and actually trying them on, to see if they fitted.
There were three wives (including me) all sitting outside the M&S changing rooms, putting the world to rights, while waiting for the grumpy old men to emerge.
Just as I sat down after dinner to relax, we had a surprise visit from DD and SIL. They had been viewing a house in the next village and were keen to share their news (and even more junk for our garage)!
DD was quite outraged at the elderly owner asking if she was pregnant, when she is not. I stupidly offered some chocolate brownies with her cuppa, which she adamantly refused. The diet was starting there and then!
They then dropped the bombshell that they are moving in next Friday. It was at this point, I had an attack of the vapours! ?
Due to having Covid and still feeling permanently exhausted and out of sorts, I have put off emptying my clothes from the spare room. In addition, there is nowhere to put things, such as my winter clothes, as the loft is full of THEIR stuff and MR Mdoll, is refusing to put anything else up there. He says the ceilings will collapse!
Corner, good luck with the dentist, I can empathise. My RA is now affecting my jaw, it is painful and annoyingly clicks all the time, but unfortunately, it has not affected my ability to witter on! ? I hope you have a painless visit and that your dentist can find a solution.
GM, praying that you and your husband have a gentle day and to Urms and anyone else travelling today, safe journey.
I'm off to the hairdresser, I hope to come out, looking twenty years younger or at least have the annoying bits sorted.
Of course, the best part of all, will be hearing all the local gossip.?
After waiting three weeks, we at last have a visit from an engineer to fix our house alarm. He is snowed under, because there is so much building work going on here. The fields are very quickly giving way to new housing, but there is such a shortage here, it has to be done..
Wishing you all a pleasant day and that the unwell DDs are not suffering too badly.
