Do you iron tea towels

I iron as little as possible!
I make sure we look presentable if we are going out. I iron DH's shirts and trousers and any of my clothes that need it.

I usually tumble dry sheets, towels and tea towels and fold them when they are still warm. They flatten themselves with the residual warmth.

I actually quite like ironing, there’s something satisfying about a pile of ironed clothes (I only do mine) and yes, that includes tea towels.
I also iron bedding, I love getting into a bed with air dried, ironed linen.
I have the time too, listen to a podcast, audiobook or the radio while I do it.

The ironing board came out on Saturday morning for the lads to iron shirts. I trained them well. We were all going to a family wedding. I can't remember the last time the iron was used. So no I don't iron much.

I iron as little as possible and that includes pillow cases and the odd shirt or trousers belonging to DH or myself.
When our boys started Seconday school I taught them to iron their school shirts, otherwise I would end up with (including their Dad's) twenty shirts to iron each week.
I thought no way and it has served us all well.

I never iron I hate it, OH does his own and asks me if I have anything to be done.

Like others here, I iron as little as possible. I certainly wouldn't iron tea towels. My mother used to and I remember asking her why once, and she said that they go in the drawer better. I do iron hankies though I rarely use them.

I dont iron tea towels. I dont iron as much as I used to - just a few things now. I fold everything 'Marie Kondo' style so not much needs ironing.

I have an elderly relative who used to iron towels and terry-towelling nappies.... As well as socks & underpants..... Even as a child, I could see that this was overdoing it.

I’m with you there, love an ironed tea towel. I suspect it’s better for drying if they are not ironed though. Also always iron cotton pillow slips but have given up all other ironing in favour of ‘flat packing’ instead. Won’t buy clothes that need an iron either.

I have holiday cottage bed linen to iron so if that's out I iron my tea towels - they look so much nicer. Otherwise - no!

With electricity prices soaring, the need to use less for environmental reasons and not enough hours in the day, I see no reason to iron anything that isn't absolutely essential.

Wow no I don’t iron tea towels I’m to busy enjoying my retirement ticking off the bucket list. Ladies don’t sweat the small stuff. If you wash them and take them out of machine soon as it stops shake them and dry them they do not need ironing. I think it’s from the era where women stayed at home all day running the home while men worked. I broke that mould by being a working mum.

What's an iron ? Oh, I have one stuck in the walk in pantry, but the last time I used it was when I was shortening some curtains!
Most clothing these days really doesn't need ironing. I put most of my tops on a hanger or roll them to put in a drawer and they are fine - trousers are either jersey or folded and put on a hanger.
My teatowels are micro fibre so don't need ironing at all.

Ironed tea towels dry up quicker than non-ironed. They only need a quick run over with the iron - nothing fancy.

I iron as little as possible. Some cotton, linen items etc. I choose clothes deliberately that will not need ironing. I find a handheld steamer is great for getting out creases when clothes are hanging to be worn the next day. Tea towels do look nice when they are ironed, I admit, but as mine are terry or micro fibre, I save myself that chore. I live alone so can be as lazy as I like after years of ironing shirts, school uniforms and the rest!

I iron my tea towels and my OH pants. My brother used to iron his socks, I’m not that crazy.

No, they are more absorbent if left un ironed.

Yes! I iron tea towels ! I feel it helps with sterilisation. I also iron T shirts. Shirts and blouses. I do not iron underwear or towels
