Smart dresses for short women

I'd suggest Roman Originals but I'm not sure about a petite range which I imagine you need due to your height.......not a criticism as I'm only 5ft myself. I just know that they have some really stylish clothes which might suit your needs. Good luck and enjoy the special occasion.

I am a 16 and 5ft and find size 16 petite from Boden is perfect. The cut suits my body shape and I too dislike frilly clothes..

I wonder if that would be worth looking at.

try the petite ranges on QVC ,I bought two lovely dresses last week from the Dani Minogue collection.They go up to larger sizes and are often modelled by size 16 models

You could look at John Lewis on line if you don’t have a store nearby
I also like Boden they come in different lengths just depends on how dressy

I second Roman Originals, or do you have a local dressmaker who could run something up for you ? It sounds as if you want a simple elegant style and it would be a doddle for any experienced seamstress.

I dont go anywhere fancy now, but its good to know where to look if I ever have a need to. Hope you find the perfect outfit teapot.

I’m short and find that most midi dresses are ankle length on me. Check the garment measurements on the website before ordering. Roman do have some lovely things and their prices are very reasonable.

I love Phase Eight! I’m 5’4”, 8 stone and find their dresses simple, stylish and comfortable.

Wallis have a petite range and their sizes are very generous.
