Good morning from a bright and sunny Oxfordshire, hopefully the garden will be dry enough to do some work in later.
Wardrobes sorted yesterday, I’m determined to put all of my back (and much loved) T-shirts away and start wearing some colours, easier said than done……
Plumber coming today, the kitchen tap leaks from all its many joints, but the hot tap won’t turn on and the cold tap won’t turn off, methinks a whole new tap is needed, not just a handful of washers. Then the worktops will need to be sanded down. But not today.
Granmattie you and your husband are always in my thoughts, hope everyone else has as good a day as possible, Mick I haven’t had proper home made chips since my Mum died!

Here Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s forecast to be a beautifully sunny day with highs of 23°C. I feel as though I’m in Malaga ha! It’s Sports Day for the Boy Wonder so we will go over to the school this afternoon to cheer him on. Rain is on its way tonight apparently so this is a nice window to enjoy the event. Nice for all concerned. All the planning and organising the teachers have to do in advance will be paid off luckily! Must remember to take some change for raffle tickets and the ubiquitous ice cream van which will be parked up on the field. Oh, plus my sunglasses!

Have a good Tuesday all who can. x

Good morning from a glorious Durham after a day of torrential rain yesterday. Mick have you spoken to your GP yet? Recovered yesterday from DGS1’s stay at the weekend - he’s like a tornado. Coffee with a friend this morning, then chiropodist in the afternoon and a visit to the toy shop to make a return.
Good to hear gM and her DH are making progress through the minefield of treatment - it reminds me of countless trips to the Freeman Hospital during lockdown, to get DH’s meds ‘fine tuned’. I hope things go to plan for her and her DH and he’s home tomorrow.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a bright sunny N. Bucks.
Quick check in today as I’m off to a WI County meeting in Aylesbury. Luckily 4 of us are going together so I don’t have to drive. Floella Benjamin is the speaker, I wonder if she’ll take us through the round, square or arched window .

Wishing you all a good day and thoughts with all struggling with illness and other problems.

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

My cleaning fairies are coming today along with a man to fix the sofa and one to fix the water feature!
Other than that just dog walking.

Pleased your DH felt more like himself yesterday Mattie. My dad had a catheter for years and never had an infection. The district nurse would come regularly to change it.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is sunny and 12 degrees.

Coffee morning today and then GS here after school. I also need to go to the village to drop off a bag to a charity shop and one for the textile bank after my sort out yesterday. Only scratched the surface though.

Thoughts to you GM hope it all works out today.

Take care everyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where the sun has got his hat on ☀️
Off on Nanna duties shortly and as it is just me a DGD we are gardening today and cleaning her wardrobe out as some of her clothes are too small and her drawers and cupboards are fit to burst!
DGS is on holiday and dutifully suffered his travel sickness on the way, poor grandma❤️
Grandmattie I hope you can find time for yourself today ❤️❤️

Good morning from France where we are promised another beautiful hot day.

Yesterday was spent mostly reading, sitting in the sun and having a dip in the pool.

It has become a regular 'thing' that at about 17.00 all the couples here, four of us, meet up around a large table in the garden and open a bottle of fizz, wine or beer and chat for a couple of hours before retiring to our own gites to cook dinner. Very pleasant it is too.

Not sure of our plans today, not a lot probably.

Have a great Tuesday everyone, much love from France xxx

Good morning!
It’s very cloudy here in Wiltshire, I do hope it brightens up.
Fingers crossed for your DH coming home grandMattie, and that he’s feeling more comfortable.
Taking a friend into town to the opticians this morning, I will get a few bits while I’m there - I need to get my watch battery changed. For as long as I can remember I always had to wear my watch, I rarely do now. I wonder if lockdown was the changing point? Something else that changed forever.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning from a cloudy E Kent. Still dry as a bone. I’ll be watering as soon as I can find time and energy.
For those interested. The local hospices don’t have a transport system, they depend on available ambulances. It makes sense that I should drive him. What didn’t, was why the catheter couldn’t be administer locally. I think that the closest hospital has the busiest A&E ever, waits of 7-8 hours, whilst the other has a “minor injuries” clinic….
DH was almost back to normal mentally yesterday, instead of completely out with the fairies. We had a good session with the palliative care consultant. She agreed to him coming home on Wednesday in readiness for DD’s visit on Thursday and chemotherapy on Friday. He is coping well with the catheter, but I extracted a promise to have antibiotics at home so I can administer them immediately in case of the inevitable infections.
I have been adapting DH’s trousers, successfully, I think, so the waist isn’t so tight and painful for him.
Another hospice day today. See how well the catheter is working.
Have a good day everyone. I do think of you and send you good vibes when I have time to read the posts… Carpe diem. ??????☀️

Good Morning Mick and all who follow. It’s dry with light cloud on Severnside. All round to yours later for chips ?

I’m up earlier because I’m going swimming. I’ve not been going lately. Making excuses to myself and finding something else that needs doing when really it can wait.

Have a good day everyone ??
