Doodle

Hello Liamsnana you will be surprised how quickly your little grandson will locate the biscuits in the new kitchen. Even if he can’t open the cupboard then a pleading look from a little face is usually enough to unlock doors. ?
Soop beautiful sunset again. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely rose Blossoming
Anne do hope your DGD is recovering from her shock and injury. Hope you are both ok.
TOYA ?

Hello Doodle ? your not wrong there im sure he will work his charm on me and his Gramps when the new kitchen is fitted ?

Hi all, I’ll never tire of your view soop.
Sorry to hear that Yia you can only do your best in supportive encouragement and listen, as I’m sure you do.
Beautiful rose Blossoming it looks very healthy too.
A ‘weather’ day here, heavy rain, including thunder, then sun, so no gardening done. Grandson off to the New Forest with school for a couple of days, he went reluctantly, hope he settles.
Library for me, a friend of ours came for dinner whilst earlier MrJ had a phone consultation with the surgery nurse for his mild, but slightly increased, asthma. Twenty minutes he was on there, she remembered him from 2016, I reckon it’s the Irish accent, I’m lucky if I get 5 mins.
Thinking of Annsixty and Susan also hoping Baubles appt with the stoma nurse went well.
Enjoy the rest of your evening xx

I didn’t say ‘hi’ to Liamsnana - consider it done! smile

blossoming that’s a lovely rose. I’m hoping to grow some in my new garden next year, in anticipation, I bought a gardening journal today. Can’t wait to start filling it in. ? ? ?

Thank you for the plantar fasciitis sympathy. It’s improved so much with these new shoes, I wouldn’t have believed it possible.

Soop we have dental check ups tomorrow, and the gorgon that is the hygienist. ? She is actually very nice but if I tell you she used to be in the army, that will tell you all you need to know. ?

Afterwards, we’ll be seeing dd1 and the children. Our Big Boy GS is now 8mths old and has learnt to crawl. His favourite occupation at the moment is raking through any rubbish he can find. Oh the joys! grin

TOYA! Xx

I'll consider myself welcomed ☺
Good luck at the dentist tommorrow, im sure everything will go well
How lovely going to see your grandson and such a lovely age ? now he can crawl he will be into everything
My grandson is 2 and a half and i need eyes in the back of my head everyday, his new thing is going into the kitchen and going through cupboards, looking for biscuits ...when the new kitchen is installed he won't be able to lol ?

Yia so sorry to hear of DiL’s further troubles, such a sad and difficult time.

No worries Liamsmnana I can’t see what I’m typing half the time and I do have my glasses on! Albertine is an old-fashioned rose, it has survived a house move and 2 garden redesigns and keeps coming back. It blooms profusely but the strong winds here blow the petals all over. I love it though.

I have managed to locate my glasses now , need them for grandsons bedtime story ...gruffalo again lol
Such a lovely rose , ill be honest and say I'm not familiar with that one but will endeavour to keep my eyes open for them...glasses on off course lol ?

Good evening dear Kitcheners. It was very stormy here last night and I slept poorly. The weather has improved this afternoon so have been out in the garden. My ‘Albertine’ rose has just started flowering and I was afraid it would be damaged by this morning, but it’s beautiful as ever ?. Sending hugs to AnnSixty and DGD, Henry and anyone else who would like one. Hope the hospital visit went well Baubles.

Grannmarie

Good morning, Soop, and lovely Kitchen people.
Safe journey, Brook, enjoy your family visit. I'm glad to hear that your DH is on the mend.
Hello ? and welcome, Liamsnana!
Childcare today with DGS2, I'll pop back later.
TOYA.

Lovely to be welcomed ? hope you are having fun with DGS2 , I took my grandson tobthe Park to burn of excess energy when the sun came out , hes a bit tired now and ready for dinner x

soop Wed 08-Jun-22 16:55:24

Thank you, Grandmabatty. It is kind of you to ask after our health.

I took far too many photos of last night's setting sun. How boring am I? hmm
I shall share a couple with you. After which, I shall beat a hasty retreat.

We both have dental appointments tomorrow morning. Let joy be unconfined. I would sooner do anything other than sit in that chair. Hey ho! As Baggs would say.

I shall be with you later in the morning. I hope to be wearing a huge, ear to ear. grin

Night night. Healing thoughts to all our Granspals in need of extra tender loving care. smile moon

Grandmabatty Wed 08-Jun-22 15:46:15

Afternoon kitcheners. It is freezing here! I'm going to have to put the heating on. No visit to mum this morning as she cancelled but I did go to my lovely friend for coffee and cake. I hope everyone is well.

soop Wed 08-Jun-22 14:31:43

Sue The sneakers that you have bought will certainly be the best and most comfortable for your faciitis. A very wise choice. X

soop Wed 08-Jun-22 14:28:33

Hello, singingnutty. I had no idea what plantar faciitis was until a friend explained the condition to me. It sounds very distressing.
Having assistance with jobs around the house that have become difficult, sounds like a perfectly sensible plan.

Lovely to have your company, harrigran. I still use the book marker that I made from a photo (*Mr S*) took of the group of us lot when we visited Galen. That seems such a long time ago.

singingnutty Wed 08-Jun-22 13:26:12

SueDonim I just saw your post from yesterday and wanted to commiserate with you about plantar faciitis. I have had it a few times and it is incredibly painful. I have sorted mine out by visiting a chiropractor, but that doesn't work for everyone. You could give it a try, if you haven't gone down this route.
Although I don't post often here I do catch up and read posts and love the way virtual friends support each other.
Today I am delighted that we've had a first visit from cleaners recommended by a friend. Over the Covid years we have managed to dust and vacuum and do other obvious and urgent cleaning (such as keeping sinks and toilets clean) but I haven't got the energy anymore to clean windows and vacuum the upholstery. Mr S is going away for several weeks sailing up the east coast with a friend, so I shall be so glad to have someone coming in to do the stairs and hopefully other jobs not compatible with a dodgy back.

Dogsmakemesmile

Good morning to all especially Liamsnana . I am several weeks behind and forgot to say welcome. There are probably other new people too. You have come to the right place thanks to soop.
Rain has just stopped so will toddle out with ddog shortly. He helped make date and apple scones. Just ate one. Me not ddog. Totally unnecessary as not hungry.
Nothing planned today so think will tackle some paperwork.
My best wishes to all. Thinking of baubles and ann.

Thank you for the kind welcome ? rain has stopped here , hope you enjoy your dog walk

Hi, baubles, glad to have you back - I imagine you are pleased to be here too.

Lots going on here so I don't have much chance of catching up but send love and best wishes to all and a warm welcome to newcomers - especially if they brought cake!
