Liamsnana I grow chillis too, though I haven’t planted any this year. Fortunately I still have a jar of dried ones in my kitchen cupboard from last year. I’m sure they get hotter with age!

Blossoming..yes they would be very hot if they have been there for a while, im growing min on the kitchen window ledge but will need to transfer them in the garden soon as we are having a new kitchen fitted soon ?....way way over due ? x

We do like our garlic in my house hold , no vampires visiting anytime soon lol
I've been growing ? chillies for years , and like you any surplus goes into my freezer, with a lively toddler in the house i have had to cut back on what goes in the cooking , though grandson dosnt mind a bit of spicy food as he tries everything, can be interesting next day lol

Annsixty such a shock for your granddaughter. Hope she is ok. Just thought I’d mention BioOil which is good smoothing and healing scars. A nurse recommended it to me after I’d had my hysterectomy.

Hello everyone. I’m sitting on the sofa shattered. I think granddaughter is asleep. Apart from at least two miles walking to school and back twice, I had two 25 minute walks to the gymnastics centre! I don’t have a child seat in my car, so walked. On top of that I’ve had a migraine on and off all day. I’ve only three sumatriptans left in my bag - I hadn’t had a migraine for over two months so just left my usual pack of six in my handbag. I will go to the chemist in Kew tomorrow and see if I can get some more just in case. I have a copy of my prescription and my NHS app has all my details. A friend did a similar thing when she forgot some tablets when up north on holiday. Apart from those shenanigans it’s been lovely looking after my granddaughter - I’m not sure how I would have coped if she wasn’t at school!

Good evening lovely Kitcheners and a warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed. The pasta bake sounds wonderful Grandmabatty and there is never too much garlic for me. Sending hugs to all the poorly little ones, and the not so little ones. Your DGD is lucky to have you AnnSixty and I hope the scar is not as bad as she fears once it’s healed.
I’m missing my summer visits to my family in Scotland, but I’m not missing the midgies at all!

How lovely to see you posting, Baubles! ❤️ Poor little Henry, it’s so sad when little ones are ill. We’d give anything to put them right, wouldn’t we? ?

The day began cloudy here but the sun was shining by the afternoon and Dh and I have spent three hours getting to know the immediate area round our temporary abode, namely Sainsbury’s, Home Bargains & the cafe in Next. This is quite an accomplishment for me because I’ve been suffering badly with plantar fasciitis and walking was so painful. I got some new shoes yesterday, Rieker Sneakers and oh my, the difference! The bottoms are cushioned and combined with non-blister socks, I had no pain.

An easy meal tonight then earlyish bed because someone is coming to mend the cooker hood at 8am tomorrow!

Thank you all for your kind wishes for DH - he’s feeling much better today and back to his usual cheery self. It’s a good job as I’m off to DD1 in Cambridge tomorrow and he’ll have to fend for himself, although anytime that I’m away DD2 tends to keep a close eye on him ?
It’s been another lovely sunny day here today, we’ve really been so very lucky with the weather recently considering we’re in the north of Scotland. I’m definitely not complaining but enjoying it whilst we can
Poor wee Henry Susan such a shame for him to feel so poorly for such a long time - hoping he’s much better soon ?

Susan, Little Henry has had a tough time for one so young. If our good wishes could make him better, he would recover in next to no time. He sounds like such a cheerful young man.
It would be a good result if your mum could continue to be cared for in her own home. I know that that is what I would prefer.

Susan, poor wee Henry. It's awful when they are unwell, isn't it? You feel so helpless. Fingers crossed that your mum is sorted. Apart from a walk to Aldi, putting out a washing and watering the garden, I am being very very lazy today. I'm watching rubbish on tv as it isn't as warm outside as I would like. Urms would approve of this lazy gran. Pasta bolognaise bake for dinner. I've filled these enormous pasta shells with bolognaise sauce and covered with cheese sauce then dotted with goats cheese. There are lots if anyone fancies some. Heavy on the garlic though.

Thank you Granmarie.Poor Henry can’t catch a break.As well as his allergies he seems to have other stomach issues,throw in Covid and chickenpox and he’s been a sad little chap.He’s back at playgroup and is still a happy little boy but it’s heartbreaking to see him unwell

We have been trying to sort out things so my mum can stay in her own home.Getting there I think????????
