Grandmabatty, you’re making me tired ? ?. If you have any energy to spare, please send it to me !
Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. I am running a little late. Needed to collect antibiotics from the GP's surgery as it closes early today. Another UTI to deal with.
On looking at the said pet portrait (started yesterday), I am feeling hopeful that I am indeed on the right track. That is a bonus. After lunch, on with the arty fart hat. You will have an update later this afternoon.
I shall also read through all your comments. Bless you.
I planted said flowers and watered the entire garden front and back too. There's no end to my busyness
Afternoon kitcheners. Nannytopsy I love churches. I have sung in many churches and some cathedrals in my yoof. So far I have made chicken stock, done two washes and hung em out, been to buy a picture frame and a clothes horse, been to the garden centre and bought flowers to brighten up the empty spaces, visited a neighbour with chocolates to say thank you as the gent fixed my fence which was broken and had lunch. Phew. This afternoon I may fill pots with some carrots and beetroot thinnings and see if they take. I might weed too. The possibilities are endless! Have a good day all.
Nannytopsy our church key is a big old-fashioned one like that! We've been fortunate in that we've been able to open our church for some time and it's only over the road. We made a Jubilee Garden in a tatty corner of the churchyard and villagers came and planted the plants they brought.
Lovely day out yesterday meeting DS, DDiL and DGD who live at the other end of the country - we met up in the middle.
Morning all! We have begun to open our church to visitors, starting today, so this morning it was a quick walk up the lane for me. This is the church key …
Now to transplant the tomatoes, once I have cleared the bindweed out of their bed.
Beacon lighting at 9, after the village picnic. Hope you all enjoy the day
Hi all, an odd day weather wise is ending with a glorious evening.
I had a local drive today, but it’ll be the last for a week until my car fault is sorted, a further problem with just me is ok, not with vulnerable clients in the back.
Faffed about in the garden, then booked two autumn breaks, one in Oxford, the other Dorset.
Good news in the kitchen Blossoming and Yia ?? .
Enjoy your evening all, we’re watching Scotland v Ukraine x
Lona ✔️ ?
Good evening Kitcheners - well it all kicks off tomorrow doesn’t it?
I always enjoy watching the Trooping the Colour, I hope everything goes off without hitches.
I am feeling better today but could not shake off a dreadful headache which woke me in the early hours yesterday or get my eyes to work in sync all day. . Felt quite queasy too.
I even felt dizzy /unsteady walking Rosie round the village but slept well and woke without the headache today. I wonder if the thundery weather was the cause?
I m NOT a hypochondriac but get a bit anxious if I feel off colour now I’m on my own , especially at night or in the early mornings. The D’s are far flung this week too - Somerset, Suffolk and London.
Mustn’t fuss though, there’s many worse off than me!
Not doing anything Jubilee related, but out to lunch with friends tomorrow and going to a choral concert on Sunday night.
I hope those of you who are ?????????????? have a lovely weekend.
Good to hear he's better Yiayia.
Evening Everyone Nurse Nancy checking in.??Damian is very much better today thank goodness,Percy pigs for everyone.?
Had my hair done today colour and trim it makes you feel so much better doesn’t it.
Have a pleasant evening all nice and sunny here.
soop where on earth does Sweetie Pie stash half of her breakfast? Two pouches, maybe but 4? Is she aware that you are not quite made of money? That will be enough to keep her going until Saturday- at least she wastes nothing and does not go to the bowl, sniff and walk away!
Good evening Kitcheners. I agree with Mrshat. Many thanks for organising the get well card for Baubles. I hope she continues to improve. *Brook it has been a lovely day here too. I went to dgs1 nursery with dd and dgs2 for a family picnic. We had a lovely time. I met the Depute Head of the school who I worked with some years back and I think she's talked me into helping out with the primary ones. I'm not sure how that happened ?. Roast chicken for dinner tonight.
It’s been a beautiful sunny day here in Inverness, I’ve been to the gym for a splash around, another quick trip to the garden centre and then mowing and planting in the garden this afternoon - a perfect day for me.
DD2 has also been here most of the day using the internet to work as she’s having some electrical work done at home and her power is off. She definitely made herself at home here and rearranged my living room so she had a comfy chair near the window and next to a power socket, made endless cups of tea, found my secret stash of chocolate chip cookie biscuits and raided my fridge for her lunch - oh well hopefully it’s just the one day …. I could do with that wine please Kitty!
Beautiful sunsets soop. Lucky you - thank you for sharing.
We have a friend coming for supper this evening. She is a bit fussy and it's quite stressful so why did I invite her?
Back later - there may be wine left or then again.......
Thank you Baggs - coordination of this must be time consuming and thank you soop for what I'm sure is a beautiful card.
I have made a start with the pet portrait. At this moment, I am not hopeful. It's par for the course, as you lot will be aware. I shall try again. Never give up.
Sweetie Pie (feral cat) was waiting on the doormat this morning. Four pouches of food later, followed by a loll on the mat, and a wash and brush up, Sweetie Pie left the premises. Aren't we the lucky ones.
A lovely, warm, sunny first day of June. Mr Soop has enjoyed gardening. It is time to prepare for the evening meal.
I shall be with you all again tomorrow.
Sweet dreams.

Baggs Please add Lona to the list.
Thanks soop xx
Nannytopsy You are a star. x
Good afternoon everyone! There’s a lemon drizzle today. Yesterday’s cake was scoffed by the WI committee and didn’t leave enough for today’s visitors. I just wish it would cool down!
Blossoming I am delighted that you are sleeping more soundly.
Lona The card will be delivered to Baggs within the nest few days. You haven't missed your chance to add your name.
Baggs If I'm not too late, please would you be so kind as to add me to the list on the card for Baubles?
Good afternoon dear Kitcheners, I missed visiting yesterday evening as I fell asleep ? I’m sleeping much better these days, I don’t want to tempt fate but I’m no longer being awoken with stomach pains and acid reflux. Lots of laundry washed, dried and put away over the last few days.
Hope everyone is well and any invalids improving.
I am about to apply the first wash on the pet portrait. You lot are extra special. I intend returning later this afternoon.
