My condolences to Gymstagram, what sad news,

Grandmadinosaur Thu 19-May-22 07:55:39

Good morning all from East Yorkshire where it is a warm sunny start to the day.

My day didn’t go to plan yesterday. The train to Leeds was cancelled as was the following one an hour later. I gave up then and spent almost an hour in the evening going round in circles on the refund page of the website. It is so frustrating and I’m sure they want you to just give up. DH said he’d had the same experience in the past. I contacted them on Messenger so hopefully getting somewhere. I then had to e mail them with ticket evidence.
As I was in the city centre I had a browse around there. I’m going to see an Abba tribute tomorrow where you can dress a la ABBA! I haven’t anything suitable and didn’t come across anything. Possibly for the best as I don’t thing it’s a good look on this overweight 60+ female ?

So sorry to hear that news Laura I don’t think I’m familiar with that Gran but still sad news. Especially leaving behind a young family?

I hope the visit of DD will give your DH a boost today and company for you of course GM

Nothing on the agenda today which is good. I feel a bit wiped out after yesterday. Just GS here after school.

Take care everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 19-May-22 07:58:52

Forgot to say that I hope poor H will be feeling better soon Susan you just want to make them better don’t you?

Mapleleaf Thu 19-May-22 07:59:04

Good morning all,

A less sunny start to the day here in South Yorkshire but forecast to remain dry. We had a lot of rain through the night again, which us good for the garden.

I managed to get quite a lot of potting up done yesterday, including the dahlia tubers. Now therein lies a mystery ?. I had 4 tubers to pot, quite sizeable ones, but can only count 3 pots. I know I took all 4 out of their over wintering boxes, but cannot find the fourth one anywhere, and they are too large for me to have absentmindedly planted two in the same pot. Goodness knows where it’s gone! Even St Anthony failed to find it for me ?. Today, I have more potting on to do, after Pilates, so hope it goes without incident...

So pleased to hear your DH is home GrandMattie and hope the chemo is not too daunting for him tomorrow. It will be lovely for you to have your DD with you for a few days, too.

Sad news indeed, LauraNorder and condolences to Gymstagran and her family ?.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. We had a loud storm overnight but no damage to the garden. The forecast is for a hot, dry day so the bedding is in the machine and I'm expecting DH home from fishing and DS from a week at work with more laundry in tow.
I will walk to Aldi for supplies as I need exercise and then get the ironing board out.
Sending hugs to Gymstagran and love to all ?x

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 19-May-22 08:08:03

Gymstragram- my condolences ???

Urmstongran Thu 19-May-22 08:08:46

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s muggy warm. We are over to mind L’il Miss as got a call at 7am saying she’d been up in the night spiking a high temperature. She’s dosed up and sat next to me watching YouTube babies on her iPad.

I stripped the bed before we left. It’s time to put the summer duvet on now I think and put the winter one away!

Have a good Thursday all who can. x

Good morning from a cloudy Black Country where it rained overnight.

Thursday morning walk later, with a group set up by a local lady last year via FB. It is quite a lovely group now.

I am off to Young Voices tonight at Resorts World. DGD4 is in a choir there. As a large arena it is almost impossible to see an individual child, but she knows we are all there.

Sending love and hugs to gymstagran such very sad and upsetting news. Thank you Laura for letting us know

grandMattie Thu 19-May-22 08:14:39

Deepest sympathy to Gymstagran. So sad for the little family.
Thank you Laura for letting us know.

The sun is starting to come out after very heavy rain and thunderstorms last night. It is my DS2's graduation today in Oxford, its been a long time coming, because of covid. I'm a very proud mum.
I have been greatly saddened by Gymstagran's dreadful news, my heart aches for her. I'm pleased to hear that she decided to share the news as I wanted her to have the support from us all.

Taichinan Thu 19-May-22 08:19:46

Good morning Mick and all. And my prayers have been answered - it is a sunny morning on the Angus coast! With blue sky!! It's so lovely to start the day with a smile from the heavens smilesunshine.
Grandmattie so glad your DH is home where he wants to be. Enjoy your couple of days with DD.
It turned into a glorious afternoon yesterday and I took my friend to the fruit farm where we sat out in the warm sunshine with our enormous strawberry tarts and cups of Earl Grey. Earlier, over lunch, I had sat out beside the pond in the garden listening to the water trickling and birds singing and watching the fish lazily swimming around. Moments to treasure.
Now I'm off to be a bit more energetic with my two tai chi classes. Mind you, the moves in the form that we do are done very slowly, so we're a bit like the fish in the pond! I've a few messages to get while I'm down in the town and then - weather permitting - a lazy sunny afternoon.
Have the very best day you can everyone x

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cloudy and cool South Yorkshire. I didn’t get my walk with DD yesterday afternoon. My kind neighbour came across and offered to cut my front lawn as he had just done his and wouldn’t take no for an answer, so I waited until he’d finished and then swept up although he offered to do that too! I stayed at DDs last night so we might get a walk in this morning instead at a local gardens before I go home.
GrandMattie I’m so pleased that your DH is home. Hope he enjoyed the fruit cake!
My sincere condolences to Gymstagran. I can’t imagine what you are all going through?.
Seize every moment, folks.

Good morning from a sunny NE after overnight rain.
SIL was here all day yesterday and we sorted one or two outstanding jobs, we also did a big shop around Sainsbury's.
I was talking to my sister on the phone when I noticed the carpet was wet under the radiator, it had sprung a leak. I had worried about problems arising with the gas meter change and my fears were realised, not happy.
DS coming today, he will get me out of the house, doesn't let me be idle. GDs are in the thick of exams so won't be visiting after school.
Sad news Gymstagran, my condolences to you and your family flowers
Good you got your DH home gM, hope your DH benefits from the chemotherapy.
