May I ask what documentation do they accept if you have been retired for a few years?

Aveline

I'm a bit wary about uploading a P60 which I'd need to do. I'm worried about giving such detail to an online organisation. Tell me it's OK?

I just uploaded a payslip

My daughter, a nurse, has a Bluelight card. No problems regarding security.

Would this be for carers as well or just NHS?

Thank you Jaffacake for highlighting this scheme of which I was unaware. I run e-commerce for a charity and while we need income I think we also have scope to offer these discounts to keyworkers. I have requested a meeting with the charity's trustees to see I can obtain their agreement to join the scheme.

Yes, I’ve just been told that I can still have a card now that I’ve retired. Very handy for Asda and Iceland. Every penny counts!

Thought I would share this with all the retired NHS staff on gransnet.
I was moaning to my daughter that although it's wonderful that NHS staff like her now have so many discounts from companies and that in my 40 year nursing career all we had was the odd box of chocs left by grateful patients.
She then told me that retired NHS staff can now have the Bluelight discount card. I applied with a copy of NHS pension and now have my card which gives me discount on all sorts of products.
Look online at Bluelight card and all the information is there. Enjoy !!
