My grandson (sons’s boy). What do I wear? Trivial I know, but this is chat! I am 66

Only one of my children had christenings for their children.

No hats. Simple dress. No jeans or leggings. Apart from that anything goes I'd have thought.

I didn't give any thought to what anyone was wearing on the day,

I think I’ve only been to two christenings in my entire life. The were relatively dressed up, as I remember.

My brother and I were not christened, nor were our children or grandchildren, nor my husband. It’s just not something we do. It was fairly unusual not to be when we were babies in the 1940s, or, in my brother’s case, the 1930s.

I’m wearing a navy and white spotty dress re discovered in the cupboard by boden and vaguely 1940s, navy jacket, pearls which I never wear really and navy shoes. I think I will do!

Sounds just right!

Hope the day goes well.
