Good afternoon all,
Very late posting but hope that you are back home, now Marydoll and sorted. You’ll be exhausted. ?
Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grannmarie Mon 30-May-22 11:04:30

Good morning, Mick and all, it's cloudy and mild in Lanarkshire, hoping it stays dry enough for a walk later.
I hope you enjoy your movie, Mick, we saw the trailer recently when we went to see Operation Mincemeat. It looks good.

So glad to hear that GM and DH had a better day, hoping and praying that this continues. ? ?

Grandmadinosaur, wishing you well for your procedure today, hoping you have a speedy recovery to full mobility. Will you have a space boot, or do you have to avoid weight bearing? I tried to pm you but no joy!

Marydoll, so sorry to hear that you are in A and E, but glad you're being seen promptly. Hope they get you sorted soon.??

Wishing you all a very good Monday, take care.

Megs36 Mon 30-May-22 11:04:11

Good morning all, sorry so many are in pain or suffering, hope all is well soon Marydolland not too long in hospital waiting room.
I have been ‘absent’ for a weeek.. Wonderful few days in the West for lovely wedding of youngest granddaughter, like many others postponed from 2000 due to pandemic. A really special time as we were lucky enough to see ALL our family, some after a couple of years. Sadly neither of us could fully join in all activities but good that we got there and were able to take part. Unfortunately I tripped up ( had a fall) over my stick and made an exhibition of myself! Luckily no real harm done although my son who picked me up must have nearly had a hernia??.
Got home to several appointments …..CT scan and Cardiac consultation for my husband blood test for me, Such fun. Now back to normal I guess.

Good morning from Dunblane where it is grey and none too warm! Pile of ironing to do today after washing three days in a row as it was good windy drying weather.

Other than that a quiet time with nothing planned this week except usual after school childminding on Wednesday and Thursday. We wii just take it as it comes.

Daughter in law and GD2 now both negative after Covid which was good news how we managed to miss getting it again is anybody’s guess.

Oh Marydoll poor you hope you get sorted out quickly. Look after yourself and let others look after you for a change.

Try and find something to smile about today everyone.

Marydoll Mon 30-May-22 10:17:28

Good Morning all from cloudy and not warm Harrogate
Glad to hear you've had a better day GrandMattie long may it continue!
Love your photos Ashcombe.
Sorry you are feeling so grim Marydoll hope you are soon feeling better.
The party I went to at the weekend was lovely. My 92 year old friend was in the same art club as myself. His paintings were stunning. Sadly he can't paint like that any more because his eyesight is failing, but he is thinking of trying his hand at impressionist painting! Met other members from the club I haven't seen for years which was lovely. I managed as well to get all sorts of things done which has taken a load off my mind. Today is my catch up day with friends and relations by telephone
Have a lovely time in Ibiza Urms
Have the best time possible folks

GrannyGravy13 Mon 30-May-22 09:53:23

Oh dear Marydoll let’s hope the wait is not too long ???

gillgran Mon 30-May-22 09:46:28

Good Morning from an overcast Cambs., (showers forecast later).

Marydoll, thinking of you, I hope you get "sorted" soon.
Warm thoughts for all with added problems today.flowers

Enjoy your film Mick, I remember our DS's mid teenage years seemed to be dominated by the original Topgun! (he will be 50 in June).

Georgesgran Mon 30-May-22 09:35:47

Oh dear, crossed posts Marydoll. Hope you have better news for us later. ?X

Georgesgran Mon 30-May-22 09:34:09

Good morning from Durham. It’s very grey, but still. Garden Centre for me this morning as I avoid busy places at weekends - I can go anytime. Lovely day yesterday at DD1s with DD2 and both DGS - it was Bedlam.
So pleased gM sounds more positive - I’m sure last week’s difficulties brought back similar memories for many of us. DH’s meds were constantly in need of ‘tweaking’ and I kept a bag packed ready for his many unexpected admissions to hospital.
Lots of holidays being planned on this thread - feeling a little envious. Hope Marydoll has better news today, sorry you’re so up and down at the moment.
Have a good day.

Marydoll Mon 30-May-22 09:29:45

Well here I am in A&E, sent by NHS 24! I have had to go on my own, as DH is on the golf course and everyone is at work on the other side of town!
I tried to explain it was an asthma flare up, but they insisted I see someone, " within the hour"!
Half the patients aren't wearing masks and I am feeling quite vulnerable, to say the least. ?

Blossoming Mon 30-May-22 09:29:03

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy and wet in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°c.

Yesterday was a quiet day at home catching up on a few jobs. My muscles are feeling it today after changing the bedding. Laundry to be done today.

Glad you had a better day Grandmattie, hope today is a good day.

Hope the Doc is helpful today Marydoll.

Hope Urms and family arrived safely in Ibiza, the airport looked chaotic yesterday.

Good luck with the procedure Granmadinosaur.

A warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed. Safe journey to any traveling and enjoy those holidays ???

Have a good day all, may all with troubles find some comfort.

Feelingmyage55 Mon 30-May-22 09:26:46

I hope Urms has reached Ibiza safely with all the family.

Feelingmyage55 Mon 30-May-22 09:24:28

Good morning all. A very cold night last night and hopefully I can now bring on more seeds. The long hours of daylight will accelerate growth.
I have beds to make as the family are visiting for the Bank Holiday. We are so looking forward to a few days together.
GM and Mr GM ?
Marydoll. I do hope you speak to or see your doctor. Tell him you need to be fit for the meet-up.
Right - beds, food shopping and tennis.
TOYA

Best wishes to all

Morning from a dull West York's going to friend's house this morning for a natter . Hope everyone has a good day whatever they are doing.

harrigran Mon 30-May-22 09:00:16

Good morning from an overcast NE.
It is cool and the heating is on.
DD and SIL came early afternoon and stayed until after 11pm.
We cooked dinner together, roast beef with all the trimmings for SIL and me and some pea protein thingy for DD.
DD is having a CT scan tomorrow, follow up to the investigations she had a few months ago.
Housework today, the kitchen floor really needs cleaning after a busy weekend in there.
Have a good day everyone.

Grandmabatty Mon 30-May-22 08:58:19

Good morning all from Polmont. 8° here and the forecast is changeable. It's very grey at the moment. Marydoll I hope you feel better soon. Ashcombe lovely photos again. I'm glad your husband is recovering from the cold. Mick enjoy your cinema trip.
Yesterday dd and the boys came round for a visit. We walked to the bridge over the motorway and dgs1 was on seventh heaven watching lorries etc go by. As foretold, he had to inspect my garden and was impressed at the tomato plants growing. (He saw them on Friday and wasn't impressed then ?) Dgs2 charmed all who stopped with beaming smiles and then fell asleep. It was a lovely afternoon.
Today will be pottering around the house. Then, like Mick, I'm off to see Top Gun tonight. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan really but I will enjoy meeting up with friends. Have a good day all.

BlueSapphire Mon 30-May-22 08:48:59

Good morning everyone from a grey and cloudy Northampton. Not worried about the weather today as planning to go to Milton Keynes, where the shopping is all indoors. I shall enjoy the bus ride down, just 45 minutes, and will sit on the top deck for the view. Will also enjoy spending my vouchers!

Had a nice walk to the garden centre yesterday, and got plants for the pots by my front door, which I put in as soon as I got home.

Must get my skates on as I need to get a bus to town first before I get the MK bus.

Wishing all a good day.

GrannySomerset Mon 30-May-22 08:40:02

Sunshine this morning to greet the return from the bell founders of two 17th century church bells so must go and see them though they won’t be rehung yet as the work on the frame is not finished. They will rest in the baptistry until they can go back in the tower. Otherwise a visit to the dental hygienist and later a practice for the Jubilee evensong next Sunday.

Good news from grandMattie - hope it continues. Hope Marydoll gets help from her GP. Good wishes for everyone else with a difficult day ahead.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 30-May-22 08:23:26

Morning all

It’s trying to brighten up here in S E Essex, there is a definition chill in the air.

My bunting is up at the front of the house and in the garden ??????????

I have the 7yr old and The Imp on my own today, DD and DH are off out for a couple of hours ?

grandMattie an easier day for you both at last.

Sar53 safe journey

Ashcombe good that you are enjoying your cruise and DH is on the mend.

I do hope that Urmstongran and family got away yesterday evening, the news is not that positive from Manchester airport or any other airport at the moment. EasyJet and the budget airlines seem to be suffering most,

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

kittylester Mon 30-May-22 08:15:05

Good morning all from an overcast North Leicestershire.

Forest did it - promotion to the Premiership. Great jubilation around the Lester clan.

Today, I have a singing lesson at 9.30 and then we are taking the children out for lunch before they are picked up this afternoon. And, we slimp.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Beechnut Mon 30-May-22 08:09:52
