Prosecco

Had a prosecco and pomegranate cocktail yesterday. Magic!

I am not keen on fizzy drinks. Prosecco is popular because it is cheaper than champagne. It doesn’t go through all the processes that champagne goes through. Champagne can only be called that if it comes from a designated region of France. I have visited both the cellars of Champagne and those of sparkling wine in Spain and Italy.
Give me a full bodied red wine.

I like the occasional glass of prosecco at a reception or chilled in the summer with a shot of chambord in it but absolutely hate Champagne I feel it sucks all the moisture out my mouth. But I do like a rum and coke with ice and lime or a mojito????

I don't like it either. Dentists say it rots your teeth as bad as full sugar coca cola!!! There was an article in a daily paper about it, usually women and teeth are ruined!! Each to their own

I'm another non-Prosecco person. But then the only wine I actively enjoy is poison to most people I know: a French dessert Muscat. It's soooo sweet and I find it the nectar of the Gods!

Don’t like it but then I very rarely drink alcohol of any kind. Hate the way most people rely on it for every social occasion or who just drink it for “relaxation”.

I've never tried it , but then again I don't like champagne.

Just sweet, fizzy water to me. Must be great advertising though, everyone else seems to love it.

It used to be lovely - a refreshing, light drink on a summer’s evening. But now it is just cheap, sweet and fizzy.

Absolutely! My favourite, on the very rare occasions I get the chance to have it with dessert.

Yes I agree fine in Aperol spritz and restaurant or bar quality is ok but supermarket processo is dire. Champagne for me ???

The Wine Society does nice fizzy Asti De Moscato , low alcohol so a nice aperitif and not as dry as champagne.

I hate Prosecco, champagne, in fact all wines and aperitifs, all beer, cider and spirits, except Bailey’s and I usually get a bottle at Christmas which lasts me at least until Easter.

I don’t like it either, but then I don’t like anything fizzy. In fact I rarely drink alcohol except for the odd sip to be sociable at special occasions.

I hate Prosecco yet eveyone buys it for me for birthdays. Every party I go to they have it and out come the glasses to go with it. I prefer M&S champagne or a really good quality cider.

I like prosecco and Cava but much prefer the aforementioned Cremant or a champagne! Sadly wines, and bubbly wine, does not totally agree with my delicate digestive system. So only the one glass and I may pay for it later!!!!!!!!

A dry sparkling Prosecco makes a lovely aperitif. I certainly wouldn’t want to swig it by the bottleful as some women do these days.

Absolutely hate it! I’m with you, why the fuss. Just a load of bubbles and air. My neighbour loves it.. always loads of empties in her recycling box! (Lol)

I am allergic to champagne, even the good ones so I haven’t bothered with Prosecco. Give me a straight single malt scotch any time, no ice please. On second thoughts give me a double

Don't like prosecco - it reminds me of Babycham, a once fashionable fizz that my great aunts used to get tipsy on at Christmas. Nowadays, assuming champagne isn't on offer, I like Cava (Freixenet particularly) and Cremant de Loire (Sainsburys). It's amazing how many times a mini bottle of Freixenet finds its way into my shopping trolley...

Well, I like it, and enjoyed a glass this morning while watching the Jubilee service on tv - had smoked salmon sandwiches as well!

Not keen, but the drink is very now. I know people who buy it for presents when they can think of nothing else to buy.
I prefer shorts, Vodka and Scotch.

I don’t often drink alcohol, but I hate champagne because it gives me terrible heartburn. Prosecco is a lot nicer because it’s sweeter, but same applies to that. I tend to go for things like Baileys on ice, or snowballs or Malibu and pineapple.

I get offered free tasters from a well known supermarket and a month ago was offered a bottle. I’ve never been a fan of fizz except for a decent tonic with my gin.

I took the offer as family were coming for a short stay and one loves Prosecco.

All four of us tried this DOCG Prosecco but had some fresh orange juice ready to add. I have to give the supermarket a review so everyone gave me a comment.

I found it almost tasteless as did all the others so we all turned it into a Buck’s Fizz.

One comment has to be about value for money . It turned out to be £22. ?. We gave it a very generous 1 star out of 5.
