Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry with a grey sky this morning in brackley.
Today, I will do a small local shop ,and that's all apart from attempting to do housework .
I am going to contact my surgery on Monday for a look up as to injury's, I have a black right eye, plus cuts above right brow , and I will endeavour to ask for prescription for low blood pressure .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. Sorry to hear about your fall Mick. That happened to me a couple of months ago, and I had just had a blood test as well. Fell flat on my face, luckily I was still in the hospital, where I was well looked after.
Today is my SIL's 90th birthday. She is the sister I never had, and I love her dearly.
Seems I have missed a few days catching up on here, so must go and try to find out what has been happening.
Yesterday I spent all day watching the Trooping of the Colour. Many years ago, when DS1 was engaged, his fiancè's father had tickets for seats around the parade ground. Now I just think, how can they last all that time without needing the loo!
This afternoon I have an MRI booked, so they must be catching up on lost appointments.
Lovely day here, so washing out on the line and it will dry beautifully.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning, all from a sunny mid Devon as we decided to escape the hullabaloo in Torbay for a few days for the tranquility of Dartmoor, where my holiday home is situated.

As we left, the local area (Babbacombe) was thronging with people, many visiting in readiness for the Air Show planned for Saturday and Sunday. Not our thing, but it gives the local council a reason to boast. Priorities seem adrift when food banks become widespread yet councils are happy to indulge in spending huge amounts on such events. They would argue that it benefits the hospitality trade.

Enough! We are planning to visit Castle Drogo, one of our favourite NT properties which should look its briliant best in the sunshine. It was designed by Edwin Lutyens, DH's favourite architect. He also designed the Cenotaph and our wedding reception venue: The Drum at Cockington.

I hope you all enjoy whatever you've planned for today. A sad but necessary task for you, harrigran and I hope you decide to join the street party, Greyduster.

Happy Jubilee!

harrigran Fri 03-Jun-22 10:01:12

Good morning from a sunny NE ?.
The weather was disappointing yesterday, heavy showers on and off all day.
DS and GD2 came, we played Scrabble and watched the film Amadeus, GD is studying music and she has never seen this film from 1984 before.
I won't be going out for lunch with friend today as the restaurant is closed for the long weekend, I was surprised as it is in a popular tourist area.
I will spend the day sorting clothes from DH's wardrobe, air ambulance are collecting next week, nearly everything going to the charity still have labels on as worn clothes have already been binned. Emotional job, quite pleased to be on my own.
Did not see any Jubilee coverage but I expect it was spectacular.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s raining in my corner of Lancashire, currently 12°c.

Sounds like a nasty fall Mick, do take care.

Sounds like most of us enjoyed the celebrations yesterday, hope everyone has a good day today whatever you’re doing.

Good morning from Durham. Yesterday was hectic - had to take DD2 and her family to the airport. It took 2 trips with the luggage, wheelchair and push chair! The flight was 3 hours late, so they didn’t get to their hotel until after 2am. At least they’re there.
Back to DD2’s for a Jubilee Garden Party - she’d asked me to stay over, but I couldn’t as I have DD2’s dogs staying with me.
I shall be having an easy day today - a bit of shopping for the weekend, some gardening and dog walking later, when it’s cooler.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning everyone from a damp Co Armagh
I’m on my own here , everyone is taking advantage of the long weekend , so no one can stop me planted in front of the TV
Tomatoes are nagging me to be planted out , but later will do ?

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. I also enjoyed the Trooping of the Colour yesterday and will try and watch the service this morning. Off to DD's this afternoon so I will be kept busy.
I also have low blood pressure and was told to drink plenty specially first thing and have a good breakfast. The drinking not so great when you want to go out! I hope you get an appointment asap Mick.
Best wishes to all

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. Rainy day. Enjoyed watching the jubilee stuff and caught up with the Royal Windsor Horse show, loved it. DD weeded the gravel drive which was looking neglected.
Planning to go to 60/70s theme disco tonight with DS and friend. Another friend who remembers it all (don’t we all?) is DJ. I’m trying to motivate myself as don’t feel like it at the mo.
Sorry you are having health problems Mick and thoughts to all with worries.
Will read through later.

Good morning all from not so sunny Leicester. I helped at a charity fundraiser yesterday morning then we walked the dog. Today I’m on dog walking duties and this afternoon I’ll be sewing with my friend’s daughter.

Have a lovely day, everyone. Take it easy until you catch up with a doctor, Mick.

EkwaNimitee Fri 03-Jun-22 09:12:31

Good morning Mick and everyone from a brightish but showery Carlisle. No use putting the washing out today.
I second Marydoll's comments about your low BP, Mick. I don't think our NHS is pro-active about it in this country whereas others take it more seriously but you should try and get to your GP.
Today is a day of more laundry and housework for me as it was yesterday though I certainly found time to watch the Trooping of the Colour. It reminds me of the displays I attended on the parade ground at Woolwich Arsenal as a child. I was especially fascinated by the teams of horses towing gun carriages thundering towards each other...but they always managed to avoid each other, contrary to my fears for them!
Hopefully, a bit of gardening this afternoon, I've not been able to resist the lures of the garden centre again and pots of plants are piling up.
The best day possible to you all.

Taichinan Fri 03-Jun-22 09:01:56

Good morning all from the Angus coast where the sun is battling for supremacy over the clouds and it's breezy and chilly Come on, the sun!
I do hope you see your GP soon Mick - they do need to get to the bottom of why this keeps happening. As far as I can make out, there's little or no GP cover anywhere over this long weekend, so Monday's your day.
Lovely to hear of everyone's Jubilee celebrating. I missed the Trooping of the Colour yesterday because I was at tai chi, and it wasn't the same to see bits of it on the news later.
For me, just a busy day today catching up on bits and bobs so I look forward to hearing all about everyone else's doings tomorrow. Enjoy yourselves!

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grandmabatty Fri 03-Jun-22 08:57:07

Good morning all from Polmont. Low cloud here and windy. 11°. I hope you can get to the bottom of your low blood pressure Mick. It must be worrying for you.
I never stopped yesterday. Lots of busy things going on. A fruitful visit to the local garden centre and to the local retail park. Today I'm hunkering down and going nowhere and spending no more money! Have a good day all.

Good morning from cloudy Leicestershire.

Busy day with DD and SiL yesterday, today promises to be the same.

Wishing every one the best day possible.

Morning from a daily lurker in Staffs where it looks dry but overcast. What a performance yesterday. Supermarkets open but not GP, pharmacy, local A&E so had to ring 111 cos DH’s UTI started again. After some time on the phone an appointment was made for 7pm at hospital some 7 miles away-as opposed to nearby town hospital. I thought b****r that and fortunately I can drive and we have a car so I drove him there straightaway. Was seen by a GP-slotted in between appointments when the waiting room had emptied. Prescription given then, having consulted list that doc
(From Birmingham A&E-so they’ll be a man down!) had , dropped DH off at home to eat and, more importantly, drink then off to bed for his siesta and onto supermarket pharmacy (open til 4pm) where they had last packet of necessary antibiotics! I dread to think of performance if they’d run out. All this meant I was too tired to join my choir for Jubilee events at church-v ?

Jaxjacky Fri 03-Jun-22 08:52:33

Morning all from sun and high cloud in S Hants. Matt reminds me of Mrs Cropley in Dibley Urns.
Loved watching the fly past on TV yesterday.
We have children here later for bbq, then we’re off to bowls, if I can still move, our local has live music.
Enjoy your day all ??

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 03-Jun-22 08:48:50

Good morning from a cloudy Oxfordshire, oh! The sun has just come out….
Busy day house working yesterday and more today, but the new kitchen fridge is being delivered today, we’ve had 2 new thermostats fitted over it’s 15 yr life so this time it had to go. surprised it’s being delivered on a Bank Holiday, but we didn’t realise it at the time.

Funny thing on our local FB page yesterday one person asked when the trooping of the colour was going to fly over the village!

She was told by quite a few people that Trooping of the Colour didn’t have anything to do with the Fly Past!

We had a few stragglers fly over on their way to Fairford following the fly past and caught a glimpse of the red arrows and 4 others (jet type planes).

Anyway, have a good day everyone, hope the sun shines on us all.

Greyduster Fri 03-Jun-22 08:47:28

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I didn’t post yesterday because I was out very early to go walking, so I missed the fact that you had had a fall, Mick. Look after yourself.
We were supposed to be having a family walk yesterday but DSiL has a shocking cold and GS went running with his friends and then played football, so it was just DD and me, up on Stanage Edge early, in glorious sunshine with a cool breeze. It was quiet when we set out but on the way back it was thronged with people and families enjoying the countryside. Lots of climbers too. Today I am being gently encouraged to go to a Jubilee tea party organised by one of our neighbours; I haven’t made my mind up yet whether I can face it on my own. I hope the weather stays dry for it anyway.
Have the best day you can folks.

Mapleleaf Fri 03-Jun-22 08:25:34

Morning all,

It’s a grey, drizzly start here today, but it’s supposed to brighten up a bit later.

We managed to have our dinner in the garden yesterday, which made a lovely change. We raised a toast to HM, of course ?.

Not sure we’ll be eating outside today unless it warms up.

No major plans for today. I’ve a few plants to plant outside, but that’s about all, then I think I might just relax with my book.

Hope you get sorted soon, Mick - sorry to read you’ve had a fall again and grazed your face and blackened your eye.

Have the best day you can, everyone.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
DS came home last night exhausted after servicing one of the Jubilee flypast helicopters. He has been given Monday off in lieu.
I'll get his laundry done and out on the line as we're promised another dry, warm day here.
We need to shop for the weekend too.
The neighbouring park was heaving yesterday with jubilee events and we enjoyed a local gun salute and some of the flypast before catching the rest on TV.
I think there's a bit of a lull today while stuff is set up for the weekend. The weather doesn't look like it'll hold up though.
Love to all ? x

Grandmadinosaur Fri 03-Jun-22 08:01:08

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s a bit overcast but looks like it could be sunny later.

Yesterday I enjoyed watching trooping the colour. All that pageantry was a joy to see. In the afternoon we went to the jubilee event close by. We enjoyed ice creams GS saw his first Punch & Judy which he got very involved in! I also bumped into one of my coffee morning ladies and her family there. It was a lovely relaxed occasion with families out enjoying the day. We came home late afternoon and just walked back a short distance early evening to watch the fly past of 2 spitfires ahead of the flotilla. We didn’t stay to see the flotilla as we were both shattered. I did see footage of it on a fb page. We’re lucky enough to live close enough that we could also see the fireworks at the end of the evening from our back bedroom. A wonderful display.

Today I’ll have a look at the service from St.Paul’s and might have a trip out somewhere this afternoon.

Take care everyone and enjoy your day.

Good morning from a sunny and bright Essex by the sea.
More food shopping to do this morning, not sure about this afternoon .
Congratulations to Urms daughter.
Enjoy Bank Holiday Friday everyone xx

BlueBalou Fri 03-Jun-22 07:43:07

Good morning everyone, it’s a cloudy start here in Ceredigion but fingers crossed it brightens up soon.
Off to Ynyslas shortly for a long walk along the beach, then bacon butties and coffee me thinks!
Have a lovely day everyone x

mumofmadboys Fri 03-Jun-22 07:42:50

Good morning all! Wet start in Cumbria but brightening up. DH has already left for a day looking at vintage buses! Not my thing at all!I am not sure how I'll spend the day yet. Yesterday it was our UA's couple's wedding anniversary and we looked after the children for 3 hours in the afternoon while they had a few treats in town. We took them to the park and they enjoyed running around, eating ice cream and collecting sticks!! The parents are indoor people which we are not used to with young children! Having had 5 children I always found a trip out every day was essential! This is creating a few tensions as you can imagine with lively children. Still when you are used to living in a flat in a city things are very different. Hope everyone has a good day especially those who are struggling.

Gingster Fri 03-Jun-22 07:41:32

Good morning all and the sun is shining ☀️.

I really enjoyed the Tv coverage of the Jubilee celebrations yesterday but kept having interruptions with visitors- little gd and mum, ds1 and wife, twin gs’s popped in on their way to their friends. Lovely to see them all, of course! ?.

Today we are going to DS1’s for coffee and then on to meet our usual Friday lunch bunch at our old country pub. Last week our friend who had a stroke in March came along and is doing so well. Lovely to see her.

Best wishes to all and have a good day. ??
