Just watching the concert at Buckingham Palace and who should pop up but Her Majesty doing a beautiful clip with Paddington Bear. Even better than her appearance with James Bond

There's a big distinctive green Devon flag waving in The Mall. Whohoo! Sadly not me.

Ditto. But I recognise the song ‘Shotgun’ as it’s played at our aquacise class.

Callistemon - whispering - he’s on now ??

Callistemon21 Sat 04-Jun-22 21:10:13

Yes, but who is he? A singer presumably (slightly off-key!!)

Callistemon21 Sat 04-Jun-22 21:14:01

George is singing to Rod Stewart ?

Calendargirl Sat 04-Jun-22 21:16:39

Have I missed something? Why did Rod sing ‘Sweet Caroline’?

Surely ‘Maggie May’ would have been better?

Sparklefizz Sat 04-Jun-22 21:17:31

George will know it from the football matches William has taken him to. I noticed he was doing the "Bom bom bom" after singing "Sweet Caroline".

Seems like Rod Stewart has lost his voice now. I felt he was struggling and didn't do himself justice.

Calendargirl Sat 04-Jun-22 21:18:16

And Rod’s backing singers must have been feeling chilly.

Sparklefizz Sat 04-Jun-22 21:18:51

Calendar Sweet Caroline was voted as being the song of the Jubilee (by Radio 2 listeners, I think) because of the line "Good times never seemed so good" and because everyone knows the words.

Sadly Rod didn't do it well.

Now we know what she keeps in her handbag

Bocelli struggling and Nessun Dorma yet again….?

Sparklefizz Sat 04-Jun-22 21:27:02

Was Bocelli struggling? I thought he was excellent, and I love Nessun Dorma. smile

Grandmadinosaur Sat 04-Jun-22 21:28:25

I thought so too Sparklefizz I enjoyed him

merlotgran Sat 04-Jun-22 21:29:43

Rod Stewart was awful.

Calendargirl Sat 04-Jun-22 21:29:52

Thanks Sparklefizz.

I knew it was a football song, didn’t know it was Jubilee song.

Yes, Rod was struggling voice wise, and starting to look a bit ‘mutton dressed as…..’

Must be hard acknowledging your voice is not what it used to be.

Poor Charlotte looks fed up bless her.

rafichagran Sat 04-Jun-22 21:37:30

Andrea Botchelli was amazing.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 04-Jun-22 21:38:36

Rod Stewart is 77, was our friends next door neighbour in Epping one of the nicest gentleman you could ever meet.

Sweet Caroline didn’t suit his voice, Maggie May and/or Sailing/Glad rags and handbags are perfect for him.

We enjoyed it too.
Perhaps we're easily pleased ?

Charlotte was enjoying it, perhaps she's getting tired.

merlotgran Sat 04-Jun-22 21:39:38

Poor George looks knackered.

Callistemon21 Sat 04-Jun-22 21:41:09

Alicia Keys - why would she sing about New York confused
What's that all about?
