Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright but its raining here in brackley this morning.
Today , I had originally planned to go on a coach trip to Cardiff , but due to my fall I cancelled .
Plans for the day some housework, then cycling on TV later .
As to cuts , I used Vaseline on the brow cut ,and its looking better , the black eye is fading.
I have made an appointment at my opticians as an eye check annual one, plus to get glasses repaired , plus I still have to sort out my surgery as to seeing doctor as to low blood pressure medication.
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning all , it’s trying to rain ! Just a bit of a mizzle but enough to wet the seat of my Walker !
I had gone to Mass in our local Chapel for the first time since Covid started as hit was a special ceremony to bless the Graveyard and pray for our departed family , when I came out to participate in the outside ceremony the seat was too wet , so I stood till the end , but I was the first out the gate at the end
Thinking of all our poorly and troubled friends ??

That’s great news Newquay and I’m sure everyone will be very grateful for your organising and quick thinking skills
Can you let us know what your niece will be doing pittcity and I’ll look out for her too - also wishing your DS a very Happy 21st Birthday
For all of those having Jubilee celebrations - enjoy!
She's playing the saxophone with the London Brass All-stars.
My sister was on Sky News yesterday as she was at a Jubilee themed wedding.
We have the press coming to our street party today, so watch this space!
Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers, northwest coast.
Gardener due today, but no show, probably because of rain. Late night last night watching jubilee concert etc.
Very disappointed by our village ‘celebrations’ yesterday. One stall and a karaoke singer. Looked the same as usual but bought some fairy cakes iced in red white and blue and Evelyn Waugh’s ‘Vile Bodies’.
The house has been neglected, so will have a good tidy round.
Sorry you are having problems Mick, it’s disappointing to cancel trips.
.
Good morning everyone from a very damp Northampton. Late this morning; woke up at 6am, visited the bathroom then back to bed, and next thing I knew it was half past nine! Just had toast and tea.
A wonderful rugby match yesterday! The sun came out, we scored 10 tries, I drank wine, and we ended up winners 65-26! So we are now through to the semi-finals, playing Leicester next weekend. I stayed on afterwards to watch the end of season awards, so sad to see players leaving, but their careers, or retirement, have to carry on. I recorded the match so will watch it again at leisure.
Off to DS's at lunchtime; sadly he is working but DD-out-law has invited me to share in a Jubilee tea, so shall get some time with the DGDs.
Then home, and had an invitation to a neighbour's for a chocolate tasting, sounds yummy.
Take care Mick, and hope you can get some help from your GP's surgery tomorrow.
And hoping your DM gets the care she so obviously needs, Susan.
Enjoy the day everyone.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from a wet South Yorkshire.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday at a jubilee tea party held in the local community centre. It was very pleasant indeed.
Watched the Platinum Party on tv last night, which was better than I expected it to be - the drone displays and lighting effects were fantastic, and I loved the Paddington Bear sketch with the Queen.
Not sure what’s on the agenda for today. Think it might be a wait and see day ?.
Will go back and read all the posts now.
Take care everyone.
Good morning from an overcast NE.
Sister and BIL visited yesterday and brought the most delicious macarons decorated with little crowns, we had pink Prosecco and toasted the Queen. It was also the anniversary of our Mam's birthday, 113.
DS, DIL and GD2 arrived shortly after and they were treated to cake too. DS had been test driving a car and bought it.
SIL will visit this afternoon and we will cook a roast dinner, Welsh lamb, this evening.
Have a good day.
Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s raining and miserable.
I’m up late today. Why is it the days you have to be up you could sleep in and the day you have time to yourself you lie there wide awake?
So hair washed and showered now. We are going for a jubilee afternoon tea with the family later. It is also a celebration for there Anniversary this week.
I enjoyed the concert at the Palace last night - such a spectacle.
Will read the threads now.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle.
I'm sorry about your trip,*Mick*, it's disappointing when you have to cancel one.
I put a couple of plants in yesterday and tied others in, not much done but I think it best not to do gardening today. I've done some different exercise instead and been for a stroll in the park. Two swan sculptures have appeared in the lake, in a taking off stance. There was no sign of the real ones who now have 5 fluffy little ones. I hope the sculpts have not put them off.
I have a minor head cold so that's an excuse for sitting about reading, I may watch the pageant too but didn't bother with the concert last night.
You had a dreadful day Susan so I hope your Mum is sorted for a while and you can relax and look after yourself today.
And wishing you all a pleasant day.
Good morning all from a miserable W Kent. Quiet day for us today, probably just as well, will watch a bit of tele later.
Susan you have my sympathy, similar carryings on years ago now, glad you got some help.
Best wishes to all
Good morning all from a sunny Polmont. 13° and rising. Susan what a difficult day for you yesterday. I hope things settle. Yesterday was a housework and gardening day. I went for breakfast with a friend first though and enjoyed a blether.
Today should have been a quiet one, however dd has asked me to have dgs1 for a few hours as the baby was unwell in the night and was awake from two o'clock. So we will play in the garden. Have a good day all
Good morning Mick and all. It’s cold, wet and windy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 10°C.
Yesterday was glorious sunshine and we enjoyed seeing the steam trains. They continue today but we shall be staying home.
So glad you got some help for your mother Susan, I hope that has eased your worries.
I hope everyone has a good day today whatever you’re doing and that the weather doesn’t spoil any plans.
That’s great news Newquay and I’m sure everyone will be very grateful for your organising and quick thinking skills

Good morning from a damp N.Bucks. Hoping it clears in time for our neighbourhood meet up this afternoon.
I just have to put butter icing on the cakes that I am taking and prepare some bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. The salmon has been in the freezer and I’d forgotten about it so not as extravagant as it sounds.
Wishing all the best day possible.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it looks to be another sunny day. Yesterday was the hottest day so far this year.
Poor Susan but well done getting the help eventually.
Perseverance is the thing. I was first at the scene yesterday when a very elderly man fell while crossing the road - luckily it was on the pavement, just . He had bumped his head but his DW was shocked and agitated insisting I didn't phone an ambulance.
As if by magic, other women appeared, 2 in nurses' uniform and we managed to help him to his feet and slowly walked them to their home. Just as well we didn't try to call an ambulance as later I discovered what you should do if that happens. You call 999 and the switchboard send the paramedics to assess. However I was also told there are only 2 pms in the county!
I am going to a garden party this afternoon so I hope the rain keeps off. Keep safe everyone.
Morning all from a very wet Staffs ? supposed to be having a street party (about 50 homes)-just coming to the front of our gardens, dead easy, nothing communal. Up at 6am after usual bad night. Regretted not making wet weather plans. At 7am I rang priest at church at end of road-he answered. We now have use of hall 4-6 yay! So hurriedly dashed off a note and then delivered it to everyone-in the POURING rain-all before 8am ?
Good morning from a very wet Oxfordshire, torrential rain overnight kept waking us up, let’s hope the sun soon shines.
Mick you might consider wearing those support stockings, the kind you wear on long flights might be helpful and the GP might tweak any meds you are already on.
I’m doing the roast today for MissOops and Nephew, apart from that a lazy day. She says hopefully.
Hope all manage to find some sunshine and smiles today.
Good morning from a very grey and rainy Black Country.
Popped into town yesterday with my friend for a few bits and bobs, and birthday cards for 2 DGD's whose birthdays are in early July and DIL whose birthday is 2nd July!
No real plans today, probably ironing seeing as it is raining. It's not a job I like doing when the sun is shining as would rather be outside. DD and DGD4 were in Sunderland last night to see Ed Sheeran. It was for DGD's 11th birthday. I was sent a photo of a beaming DGD at the stadium. They stayed overnight, so will be back later today.
Such a worry for you Susan I hope everything can be resolved.
Good morning from damp Leicestershire.
My phone is already pinging with WhatsApp’s re the Street party this afternoon. There are about 250 people coming and so much has been organised it will be a pity if the weather spoils it.
So sorry to hear about your mum Susan I was in that position for many years. Even when they moved nearer I was still on call 24/7. It is exhausting especially when they resist help. I am sure the stress of it had a major impact on my health. Please look after yourself.
Sorry about your missed trip Mick - hope you get to see the doctor tomorrow.
I am very envious of your holiday Urms. We very rarely all get together. My DS and DD live such different lives. My DD gets upset that her brother is too busy to see her as when they are together they get on well.
I can relate to your family in some ways Marydoll.
Wishing every one a good day.
Good morning from a dull West York's we have family today was for barbeque. but that's looking doubtful now ,we have survived looking after three of our very energetic grandchildren we have enjoyed it but need a rest after today .Have a good day all.
Good morning from a very wet west midlands. It might scupper plans for street party.
