Scentia, what a worry for you. Certainly not attention seeking. We are here to support each other.
I hope the trip goes well, with no further mishaps.
Your DH is lucky to have such a supportive wife. You must be exhausted! ?

Belated birthday greetings to Mr Nan Kate. I somehow, missed that.

Grammaretto Tue 07-Jun-22 08:26:22

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. It must be cold because the heating came on automatically.
I'm glad you are getting some medical attention Mick.
Df left this morning and the blind fitter is coming to measure up soon so without the sun beaming in at 4am, I may sleep a bit longer.
Last night I attended the inaugural meeting to start a new community garden. My task is to call in at the pub next door with a view to tapping into their water supply or similar. How long and how many drinks will it take before I can become a trusted regular?

Congratulations to pantglas, Cherry and other Welsh here on their football victory.
Safe journey home Urms. Poor Dragonfly!
What drama Scentia! I'm not sure I would let him out of my sight if I were you, but you are brave.
Hoping everyone has a nice day.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 07-Jun-22 08:20:22

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s a bit grey this morning in Hull but no rain forecast until this evening. Green Thumb are coming to treat the lawn today so I can’t have my bedding strewn across it on the line until he’s been.

Scentia what a worry for you. I can’t imagine how worried you must have been on that journey to Milan. ? your DH has a lovely drama free holiday.

grandMattie ?
Urms enjoy your last day ?

No GS pick up today. I’m going over to DDs to spend some time with DGD1 while they go for a big food shop. I don’t spend as much time with the GDs because they are a busy family with lots of friends so are always doing a lot of activities. My DS is on his own with GS so we see a lot of him. GD is very chatty with a great imagination so it’s fun to play games with her.

Hoping everyone has as a good day with many reasons to smile. ??

Good morning from an overcast NE yet again.
Decidedly autumnal yesterday so stayed indoors and sorted more clothes for charity collection.
My sister and BIL are collecting me today and we are going out for lunch then we are going to a nursery to select plants for the patio.
Have a good day.

Gingster Tue 07-Jun-22 08:04:12

Good morning and it’s a lovely bright start here in Essex.

Scentia - what a flying visit you had! Fingers crossed your dh will be ok for the rest of his holiday ?.

Shopping this morning and Bridge club this afternoon.

Hoping all have a ‘good’ day. ?

dragonfly46 Tue 07-Jun-22 08:03:36

Gosh Scentia what a worry for you. I hope everything goes well from now on.

brook2704 Tue 07-Jun-22 08:02:26

Oh my goodness Scentia that was an eventful weekend. So pleased to hear your DH is fine again and so good that you could fly out to help. Hope his return journey is ok and he gets home safely in a couple of weeks!

Scentia Tue 07-Jun-22 07:56:19

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is sunny and I am at work already.
I have had an eventful jubilee weekend as DH unfortunately fell ill at Milan airport and I had to fly out to help him out as they called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital. He just fainted but when they tried to talk to him he was unsure what he was doing in Italy. Honestly I can’t leave him for 5 minutes! He is fine now and away on his motorcycle tour but I am on edge every day as I keep thinking he will fall ill again. I returned from Milan yesterday having not done one bit of shopping in that beautiful city?
He has a tendency to faint when he is anxious so I have said to call me when he is back at the airport in two weeks then and I will ‘talk him calm’ as I have a air of calm about me and I am a month in to my counselling course?. My poor man I feel so sorry for him❤️
Anyway, enough about me with my attention seeking post. I will read all your posts later, I do hope you are all as well as you can be and enjoyed the jubilee weekend❤️

Good morning all from a sunny Black country, lovely blue skies here so washing in the machine.
Hairdressers today and babysitting this evening.
Enjoy your last day Urms and don't forget to pack the sun to bring back.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?.

BlueBalou Tue 07-Jun-22 07:54:04

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny Welsh coast, a really beautiful morning here.
Only 3 days of holiday left then the long drive home.
Off for a walk in the Cambrian mountains today then will sit on the beach and enjoy the sunshine I hope!
Hope you all have a good day x

NannyJan53 Tue 07-Jun-22 07:48:55

Good morning from a slightly brighter Black Country.

Dentist this morning shock . Should have gone a few weeks ago, but had to cancel as I had Covid. I will walk there, and on the way back pop into town for bits and bobs. Looking after DGD's Saturday night whilst DD and SIL go to a gig. So I will make us a Lasagne for the evening.

Had a concerning phone call from Mum yesterday. She rang in a slight panic as she said she couldn't remember how she got money out of the bank. I said you need your debit card (couldn't remember what it was and what it looked like) and your PIN (didn't know it). Couldn't remember where she kept the card. Eventually found it (I was on a countryside walk at the time)., and she remembered the PIN. She is 92 so I expect things like this will happen.

I hope NanKates DH had a lovely birthday.

Wishing you all a lovely day

brook2704 Tue 07-Jun-22 07:35:45

Good morning everyone from Inverness, we’ve blue sky with a few light clouds today
Not much planned except packing a few things as I’m off to visit DD2 and family in Cambridge tomorrow. It’s just for a few days until Sunday as I like to go little and often!
So good that you’ve had such a lovely family holiday urms and safe journey home for you all tomorrow
Take care all whatever the day brings ?

Marydoll Tue 07-Jun-22 07:35:40

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow. Its 9°C, but temperatures of 20 °C are forecast. Positively tropical here! ?

Not much on the agenda today, I'm struggling a bit and till breathless, so a small shop and pottering about in the garden are all I will be doing. Another two main roads are closed, five minutes apart, but in different LA's. Why on earth can the councils not liaise with each other? Its causing chaos and raised stress, especially as more people are driving due to the rail problems here.
SIL is working from home today, so lots of tiptoeing about, hence my trip out.

Safe journey for all the travellers, Susan and GM, I hope today isn't too stressful for you both.
Mick, that was great to get your glasses repaired so quickly on the premises and I hope the person doing your blood test, will ask your GP to check you out ASAP.
Dragonfly, your face lift comment did make me laugh!

Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Pittcity Tue 07-Jun-22 07:23:49

Good morning from sunny Colchester. There is still rain in the forecast but the temperature is back up where it should be.
Tuesday is charity shop volunteering day, so I'd best shake a leg.
Love to all ? x

Jaxjacky Tue 07-Jun-22 07:10:03

Morning all from a cloudy, chilly S Hants. Glad you’re being seen Mick.
Safe and seamless trip home Urmstongran.
Farm shop, vape shop, couple of phone calls to make then some weeding is my day.
Enjoy yours ??

GrannyGravy13 Tue 07-Jun-22 07:09:11

Morning all

Pleased you are getting sorted Mick

Blue sky and sunny here in S E Essex, we have The Imp so if it stays dry we will be able to do something outside. Pick his brother up after tennis for his weekly sleepover.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Ali23 Tue 07-Jun-22 07:07:04

Good morning everyone from sunny Leicester. Glad to hear that you’re being sorted out so promptly at the doctors Mick.

I’m waiting in for delivery of two barrels this morning. Planning to plant my late Mum’s camellia in one, and have bought a corkscrew hazel for the other. They will sit in the front garden, in the sun.

Have a good day everyone.

dragonfly46 Tue 07-Jun-22 07:04:06

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire. It is feeling very chilly though.
The cleaning fairies are coming today so need to be up early.
Book club social in the local pub this evening.
Still have bruising on my face - some one asked at the street party if I had had a face lift ?
Hoping every one has the best day possible.

kittylester Tue 07-Jun-22 07:02:19

Good morning all from a very bright North Leicestershire.

Choir this morning for me while DH is volunteer driving. I also have some training to complete for the new course we are starting for people living with dementia.

Burgerologist's fabulous burgers this evening.

Beechnut Tue 07-Jun-22 06:43:23

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. Still quite a lot of bunting up in my road. I shall take mine down today when it’s dry.

Homeworking this morning then appointment for my feet this afternoon. They do feel nice after.

Have a good day all whatever you do ?☕️?

grandMattie Tue 07-Jun-22 06:42:58

Good morning from a sunny E Kent. I doubt it will last. We have had some pretty grey days recently.
Slept badly last night, probably worried about DH and his pre-chemo tests today. He seems oblivious mercifully.
Had dinner late last evening as DS decided to go for a 15k run first! He enjoyed it, but I suspect he’ll be a bit stiff today.
Nothing else planned.
I hope all the doctors appointments, the flights, etc., go smoothly today. Carpe diem. ????

Greyduster Tue 07-Jun-22 06:42:37

Good morning, Michael, and all GN from a blue sky South Yorkshire. Cool though. Hope your surgery appointment goes well Mick and you get some answers. I am currently at DDs, but will be making my way home today, visiting to my niece on the way to have a natter and see the latest photos of her new granddaughter. I have to wait in for a phone call this afternoon, but if the weather holds, I will get some gardening done thereafter.
Have the best day you can folks.

BlueSapphire Tue 07-Jun-22 06:34:39

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton. A lazier morning today as I raced around and got a lot of my jobs done yesterday. Spent the afternoon waiting for a phone call to amend my holiday insurance, which was done by a very helpful agent. Managed to finish my book club read; now to read one of the many that DD has lent me.

Going to see a film this pm, then have a mooch around town before getting the bus home. Will get something out of the freezer for tea.

Safe journey home Urmston.
Hope.your GP visit goes well Mick.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 07-Jun-22 06:27:51

Morning all from Kew. I expect my granddaughter will be awake soon and we will have breakfast and then school. Not sure what I’m doing today. Two migraines yesterday… Maybe another potter around Kew Gardens.

Urmstongran Tue 07-Jun-22 06:23:53

No Matt.

Good morning everyone from Ibiza where another lovely sunny day is forecast with highs of 26°C. Decidedly chilly compared to Malaga - my sister has just sent me a message to say they have 36°C today in Estapona!

Our last day and our Yorkshire Lass and her partner (son in law to be, yay!) are going kyacking after breakfast. I think the rest of us will just be by the pool, before packing our suitcases. My stepfather has taken to having a lie down in his room and having a snooze mid afternoon. He’s done very well this holiday.

I hope collection of our cases at Manchester is hassle free tomorrow. I won’t have time to post in the morning as the Jet2 holiday bus will be picking up about this time in the morning.

Have a good Tuesday all who can. x
