What a stunning dress.

I’m a little embarrassed receiving so many lovely comments.
I’m sure you all understand that I’m unlikely to look as stunning as the model in the picture.

I am however pleased with my choice and it’s flattering.

The post was really about my ridiculous quest, why on earth did I waste two days of a holiday and numerous other days when I could have walked down the road!

Lovely dress

What a stunning dress I love it.

I hadn’t started to look for my outfit when DS got married. About 5 months previously one Sunday morning we went to a small town not far away just for a wander and a mooch. Came across a couple of dresses that caught me eye. Tried them on and bought the first one. I was a bit hesitant thinking I should maybe look around but DH said get it you might not find anything else you like. He was right.

That is a beautiful dress. My wedding outfit story is this: I spent months looking for the perfect dress for my niece’s wedding in Australia in 2019. The morning of the wedding and I put it on. It was too long. Why hadn’t I noticed? So I wore another, lesser dress. It was only this year after various lockdowns, that I found a seamstress to shorten the hem. I can sew but not well enough to turn up a sort of circular hem. Another niece is getting married next year so at least I have a dress for it.

That's lovely Sago, especially the sleeves. At least you know you did all the research and jow have the best outfit in Europe! I always find French couture doesn't suit my shape, but I do have a favourite: Pause Café fashions, some of which are available in the UK.
I traipsed high and low for an outfit our son's wedding, then fell into Febwicks one day and found a beautiful understated dress.

Sago, because it’s a variation of ‘ Female Shoe Search Syndrome’ whereby you try on a pair of shoes, visit every other shoe shop in the vicinity, then return and buy the first pair!
