Virtual cruise Lyon to Avignon and Arles

Has anyone thought, not of lectures, but of crafting activities ?

CS could kick off (as it were).

Back later - this will give you all a chance to check my spelling and grammar?

If you are using a computer using the Windows operating system, the Paint program that is bundled with Windows is capable of being used to product good art results.

It would be possible to produce art then export a png image file and upload it to this thread.

It would be possible to import images and use cut and paste to build up collages, or new art could be produced using the tools that are available in the program, for examples brushes, shapes, the ability to mix new colours.

It is quite likely that initial results will not be good, the "secret" though is to push on and not be deterred by adverse comments of what you supposedly will never achieve. Producing and publishing is the way to achieve. Aim for the stars!

Oh my word. That dessert! Is Joseanne really Monica Galetti?

The crafting out of junk started during lockdown when friends and I were challenging one another to make art (mostly collage) out of whatever we had to hand - bits of paper, card, fabric, paint etc. Most had gone for swaps so no pics. There are a few people I follow on YT whose style I like e.g Kylie Coo and Joie de Fi if anyone's interested.

I'm thinking back now to all the things we did and took up to keep busy during those early months of strict lockdown. I used to go for my daily hour of exercise and carried on shopping locally but other than that it was home entertainment. Now things have been back to normal for the most part for a year it seems a distant memory.

Eek, sounds like hard work -speaking as one with 2 left hands!

If anybody has a pic of an broken-down clapped-out old pendant can they please keep it to themselves?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 17-Jun-22 17:43:20

With cream? Wonderful!

MawtheMerrier Fri 17-Jun-22 17:43:08

Out of interest, what ARE they?
I wouldn’t want to occasion any more (misplaced) sympathy for God’s good gifts!

IRL, I recycle broken costume jewellery into arts and crafts projects or pass it on to others who do similar stuff. Not sure what my décolletage is any good for any more other than resting a cup of tea on.

Photos please!
This cruise is turning out to be an absolute delight.
Stimulating and thought provoking conversation, lovely food and drink, excellent company.
Slightly dubious talks of -often- little merit but, as I've said before*
?Girls just wanna have fun?

* Often helpful with this kind of audience...

MawtheMerrier Fri 17-Jun-22 17:37:05

Just

Joseanne Fri 17-Jun-22 17:30:47

Dessert.

I’m not sure broken old pendants are worth fixing - best chucked.

Nor ageing décolletages….

CaravanSerai Fri 17-Jun-22 16:51:08

Of course, it could be duct tape used to stick a broken pendant together to camouflage an ageing décolletage - see uses of duct tape above. My necklaces are getting as big as Esme's on GBSB.

ixion Fri 17-Jun-22 16:45:41

Grrrrrr
Love 15 ?

PENDANT ALERT!

I always thought it was duct tape?
Let me Google it.

It is ixion but one of those products where the brand name has become synonymous. Like Hoover, I suppose.

I always thought it was Pedant ….

MawtheMerrier Fri 17-Jun-22 16:31:54

D’accord, Nom, nom! ???

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 17-Jun-22 16:18:18

Most definitely. A gourmet cruise.

ixion Fri 17-Jun-22 16:16:11

Joseanne

You're right. I just went with the flow.
Anyway, as it's fishy Friday how sbout sea bass stuffed with herbs afterwards for dinner 20.30.

That looks delish Joseanne

I always knew this was going to be a cruise for the bonnes vivantes

Poor creature.

CaravanSerai Fri 17-Jun-22 15:49:24

For help with the décolletage in certain clothing situations? I'm trying very hard not to say t*t tape. A question for GSM's list to ask and embarrass Rick Bland?

I once read that the two most important items in your DIY box are Duck tape and WD40. If it should stick and it doesn't - use the first. If it's stuck and it shouldn't be - use the second.

Joseanne Fri 17-Jun-22 15:39:00

Can anybody think of other uses for this versatile product?
Don't tempt me!

Joseanne Fri 17-Jun-22 15:37:18

Fred recommended this rosé, he thought the name was very us! Charme, indeed. I ordered white too.

MawtheMerrier Fri 17-Jun-22 15:34:33

This is all getting very educational - but I like the duct tape paintings!

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 17-Jun-22 15:26:55

Yes please Joseanne. Do we still have plenty of vin or has Doodle swigged the lot? She’s been very quiet…
