Good Morning Everyone,
A sunny start this morning with high cloud over brackley at the moment.
Today , a bus trip to Bicester as usual , carrying water with me.
My new mobile works properly , spent less than 10 minutes in store , was told never use aeroplane mode as it switches off phone and internet.
Take Care,
Mick

Morning all! DH has woken u with (yet another!) UTI ?
So it will be off to the docs first thing to get more antibiotics and get them to send sample to lab.
I started a cough last night, had usual bad night-waking every 1/2 hours. Cough feels worse.
Had sat next to a lady at lunch on Tuesday who, halfway through meal, told me she has pleurisy!! Why didn’t she stay home?

Good morning everyone from another bright and sunny ? day in Northampton. A bit of washing to do this morning then an early lunch and out to my dance classes. Then out for an evening walk followed by dinner at the pub.

A very pleasant evening at DD's yesterday; she was hosting our ladies' wine club, and we tasted some delicious white wines.

Must get my skates on as Sainsbury's is due shortly. May the sun shine on all of us today.

Urmstongran I read Cutting for Stone several years ago. I'd borrowed the book from the library, but bonded with the story so much so that I bought my own copy. It's a special book. Enjoy.

Urmstongran Thu 16-Jun-22 08:52:24

Thanks Aldom - good to have a validation there! ?

Good morning from a sunny and warm NE ?
SIL came yesterday and we had a walk to look at a house in the next street, it has just come up for sale, would suit DD and SIL but maybe too far from mainline station for their travels.
While shopping I picked up a novel they were selling half price when I got home I realised I had already read it and it was the most boring novel by Jo Jo Moyes, giver of stars. I hadn't recognised it as they had changed the cover.
DS is not coming today as he has meetings all day so I will take myself into the garden and possibly clean the furniture.
I may have lunch in the garden as I have some delicious olive bread and I could make a Greek salad to go with it.
Thoughts are with poorly people.

Good morning all from a muggy, cloudy start to the day in Glasgow.

Our meeting with DH’s medical team resulted in unexpectedly good news.
A small tumour was discovered in DH’s left lung in an x-ray, SIX years ago but was somehow missed??? The good news, it is very small and there has been no change in those six years and will be monitored. Although the laryngectomy will quickly go ahead we are strangely elated as our worst fears resulted in tears of happiness and hope. Many thank yous again to all who kindly sent us messages of support, I hold them dearly.

Loving the photos of the Wonderous Wolfie and the adorable girl with spirit. My type of girl too.

Not surprised to hear how well the Glesga Grannies meet up went. So sorry I missed seeing all of you but I now plan to be at our next get together. Looking forward to seeing you then Stilllearning.

Best wishes for a good day Baubles, you are always in my thoughts ?

DD2 wants me to teach her how to crochet today - this should be fun!?

Best wishes also to those with sadness and troubles, hoping too, a good day for all.

This could be your feisty granddaughter Scentia in years to come!

Good morning all,
Looks as if we are going to have a very warm day today, so I hope to spend some time sitting in the garden later.
I’ve got my Pilates class shortly - these Thursdays soon seem to come round.
Enjoy Jools Holland tonight Nankate. I’ve seen him lots of times and never been disappointed.
Hope everyone has a good day.

baubles Thu 16-Jun-22 09:12:21

Good morning all from sunny South Lanarkshire.

Glad you got your phone sorted Mick.

Thinking of your DD Chrissielou.

Yesterday I sat in the garden with my friend having foolishly forgotten to apply sunscreen so I’ve woken this morning to a bright red sunburned face. Numpty that I am.

More visitors today, DH’s siblings are descending this afternoon along with a grandchild. I’m tired at the thought of it.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Thu 16-Jun-22 09:12:41

Thanks for book recommendations Urms. Can I ask who wrote cutting for stone?

Feelingmyage55 Thu 16-Jun-22 09:49:41

Good morning all from a warm but cloudy north of Scotland. I have had my morning tea sitting in the greenhouse after doing the watering.
GM glad to hear your DH is eating a little again.
Mick Good to have a working phone, especially when you are out and about.
Marydoll. Oooh for fish and chips at Nardinis, a walk to let it go down and back to finish with a giant slider or a cone with sasparilla. Sp? I can taste it just at the thought.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Feelingmyage55 Thu 16-Jun-22 09:53:13

Baubles ? retire graciously like royalty; you really do need recuperative rest.
Kalu I’m pleased to read your news.

Urmstongran Thu 16-Jun-22 09:54:44

Grammaretto Thu 16-Jun-22 10:01:07

That is good news Kalu. smile
Look forward to seeing you and Baubles and the others who couldn't make it this week, next time.
My update is I won't be running a taster class tonight as it's been postponed due to their illness.
DD sent me a photo of her positive covid test today: The reason she has had a splitting headache, a sore throat and a fever but as she reminds me has to carry on with no help and 2 small DC. sad

Blossoming Thu 16-Jun-22 10:08:14

Good morning Mick and all. It’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 18°C.

Glad your phone problems were easily fixed Mick.

Not much planned for today other than physio and a walk around the marina. It promises to be hot so will take it easy. Mr. B is taking me out tomorrow and I want to be feeling fit as it will probably involve walking.

Lovely photos Scentia and Kitty.

Glad you’ve had some good news Kalu.

flowers for Chrissielou and daughter.

A warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed.

My thoughts are with those going through difficult times, I hope today is a good one for us all ?.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 16-Jun-22 10:37:47

Morning all from a sunny West Oxfordshire. I had a lovely video chat with my brother in Australia during breakfast! He was finishing off his dinner. We spoke for 25 minutes and it doesn’t cost a thing on Facebook Messenger. OH and I, together with younger son are going out for lunch today. There is a pub on the river about half an hour away. It should be soothing watching the river go by. ??? for lots of you.
