Totally agree I literally find very little in life lately to smile about these days. Aches pains of arthritis getting me down and family problems wearing me down emotionally. But that's life I am taking our dog on a long walk now. With lots of water to keep us hydrated.

To one of the children in my Reception class who were in the dressing up corner- “ Whoever is in the Panda, come out at once!”?

Teaching Death of a Salesman to a class who were resisting taking parts, out of my mouth came, "I need a Willie!" Cue much sniggering from 15 year olds. An art teacher colleague was gathering material to give to pupils and uttered the line, "Ok, who wants felt?" ?

"You'll be old one day?".

Agree on the too hot, I used to sunbathe and use sun beds when there was no sun!

No thank you to an evening out, I would rather stay in.

Me just the other day - ‘No, I really don’t think I’ll feel like going to Majorca* in October - I’ll be wanting some P & Q at home.’

*to stay with a friend at her holiday home. In my defence we went in late April/May - it was chilly! - and will have been away in September anyway.
