Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking grey outside this morning, but its dry here in brackley.
Plans are to get the bus to Buckingham ,and then get another to Bicester , do my usual coffee with a small shop after .
returning direct to brackley on the bus .
Followed by cycling on TV , its a pity Covid as lifted its head again in Europe with riders getting it , but UK may also see increases if they are right .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a rainy day in Glasgow. Last night’s forecast showed wall to wall sunshine but strong winds which doesn’t make for a pleasant day in the garden.

Those geraniums are glorious GM. Such an uplifting sight to see. Pleased your day went smoothly yesterday and the latest meds continue to make life more comfortable for your DH.

We had our final meet with DH’s Consultant and MacMillan nurse yesterday. We have been given some time over the weekend for DH to decide how he wants to proceed now all questions have been answered regarding outcomes. Lots to talk over.
I dropped in at our local shops in the afternoon and upon leaving one shop I did a double take of a lady walking towards me, I was so sure it was you Marydoll but as there was no sign of recognition from her, I decided you must have a doppelgänger living in my area. ? Have a lovely day Shazza
Enjoy some time with your df *Grammaretto. Hoping your DD makes a speedy recovery and her appointment can be rearranged soon
Beautiful painting with such meaning and treasured memories BlueSapphire. No doubt it will take pride of place in your home.

Much love and best wishes for those who are struggling and a good day if possible to all.

Marydoll Sat 18-Jun-22 09:12:45

Kalu, there is only ONE Marydoll, the world couldn't cope with more than that!

Pleased to see you are out and about again. x

Grandmadinosaur Sat 18-Jun-22 09:16:43

Same here Kalu as in Leeds when we were sat down at lunch I also spotted a Marydoll lookalike ? is she cloning herself keeping an eye on us?

baubles Sat 18-Jun-22 09:18:24

Good morning all from breezy South Lanarkshire.

It was such a tonic to have our littlest grandchild with us yesterday. He is, of course, such a beautiful baby and slept contentedly in our travel cot whilst we had lunch.

After three days of visitors I confess to being wiped out this morning and am soon bed.

Today will be quiet, it would be good to be able to sit in the garden but I’m not sure that the weather will oblige.

Have the best day possible everyone.

baubles Sat 18-Jun-22 09:19:10

still in bed! I really should preview.

Grannyme6 Sat 18-Jun-22 09:25:34

Morning all. Tested positive for Covid a day or so back, there’s so much of it about. Mild symptoms, just like a cold, so far.
As always, reading everyone’s news (I feel like I know you all!) and wishing some joy in everyone’s day.
Come back soon Urms!

Kalu Sat 18-Jun-22 09:28:11

Ain’t that the truth Mary ? but this lady was the image of you. So good to be driving again and able to get out and about independently.

Pittcity Sat 18-Jun-22 09:32:10

LauraNorderr, Will your dh arrive with lots of lovely fish to be cleaned and gutted Pittcity or does he throw them back?

They were carp this time and definitely go back....one weighed 61lb!!!!!

luluaugust Sat 18-Jun-22 09:35:12

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. After lunch for my brother's birthday yesterday we have decided to go off to a local garden and hopefully find some lunch. Two days off cooking, it feels like a holiday.
Best wishes to all

Kalu Sat 18-Jun-22 09:35:27

Oh, not another one Grandmadinosaur ?

It’s always lovely to have visitors baubles but I agree, it can be very tiring. We have an empty today as everyone is out and about doing whatever and we are enjoying the peace!
Just been out in the garden, quite sunny but a chilly wind so wrap up a bit to enjoy some fresh air.

Baggs Sat 18-Jun-22 09:43:54

Morning, all, from Argyll where it has been hot (16º) but windy, then rainy, now sunshiny again so far. Hoping to do some gardening later but will have to be prepared to get a bit soggy.

I have been printing a few photographs so that I can try and paint them. My painting skills are primitive but everyone says to keep splashing about so I shall ????‍?. I took the photo in the garden this morning.

Here's wishing restful and comfortable days to those who are struggling with health and other challenges.

kittylester Sat 18-Jun-22 09:44:38

Good morning all from a wet North Leicestershire. Your garden is safe dragonfly.

Not a lot going on here today.

Sending love and good wishes to all with worries.

hollysteers Sat 18-Jun-22 09:49:43

Good morning from sunny Ibiza.
No problems with flight out of Manchester. Party time on flight already for some? but we are in a lovely quieter part of the island not far from Ibiza town.
I might buy a snazzy costume as didn’t like the selection In the UK
Hope you all have a nice day and thinking of those with troubles.
Paella tonight.

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 18-Jun-22 09:55:26

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate. Yesterday I was shopping for the week then kept very busy doing nothing- probably do more of that today.
Have a great time Shazza.
Sorry to hear of so much illness
Have the best day possible folks

Before 10,00 am had had two phone calls, a visit from the plumber to sort out washing machine and had arranged for the piano to go next week - to a talented teenage boy. DH would have been so pleased about this and I can at last arrange the sitting room properly after more than seven years in this house. Cream tea to support one of our local churches and a concert this evening in the church we belonged to when we lived in Bristol more than a quarter of a century ago. No wonder I feel old!

EkwaNimitee Sat 18-Jun-22 10:19:26

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny-ish Carlisle.
I travelled home from lovely hot and sunny Surrey yesterday, hit heavy cloud as we reached Cumbria and arrived in Carlisle to cold and rain! In which I had to queue for a taxi. Not a happy bunny. Nor was the taxi driver who told me he had just fuelled his vehicle at a cost of around £140, this about every 3 days. This was as we passed a service station where I noted the prices seemed to have leapt since I passed it on Monday.
I've just got back from re-fuelling my food cupboards and am now planning my next moves...I favour some gardening but ought to be washing my filthy car.

What a lovely painting, BlueSapphire, a very talented artist there.

Wishing you and your DH a better weekend grandMattie. I keep hoping they'll finally get him sorted so that he can enjoy life more. Your geraniums are beautiful.

The best possible weekend to you all.

LauraNorderr Sat 18-Jun-22 10:20:04

Kalu flowers, can’t imagine how difficult those decisions must be.

ShazzaKanazza Sat 18-Jun-22 10:30:49

Hello again everyone, I’m back from the hairdresser after having my hair curled. Having a cuppa reading your news.

Grannyme6 good you see you posting.? hope you recover swiftly from your covid.
Baggs what a beautiful garden you have.
BlueSapphire that’s a wonderful painting. So many memories will flood back when you look at it.
Kalu you have alot of difficult decisions to make together?
baubles have a rest today.
Thinking of you all.

Have had tears about the wedding already watching a video of mother and daughter exchanging gifts. My husband will need to carry the tissues for me as my bag is tiny and just enough for my phone.
Speak tomorrow I’ll let you know how it goes??

Good morning Mick and all. It’s sunny in my corner of Lancashire, currently 14°C.

Yesterday we visited the second textile museum at Harl Syke. It’s on a much larger scale than the Helmshore site, and was quite busy as there was a coach party visiting. As we were making our way to the exit I lost my balance and fell flat on my back in full view of the busy coffee shop. So embarrassing, I became the centre of a group of concerned onlookers but had managed to prevent my head from connecting with the stone flags. The museum staff helped me to a table on the terrace and fetched a jug of water, so Mr. B and I had a short rest in the sunshine. After a very enjoyable visit our journey home was a nightmare due to couple of traffic accidents, one on a motorway and another on a main artery. The 45 minute drive took over 4 hours.

Not much planned for today as walking around the museum tired me out. Although I wasn’t hurt I am finding a few bruises this morning. The long car journey left me with back and neck pain, which appropriate physio exercises will help. There are lots of photos taken yesterday that need to be sorted and edited. I will have a short walk later.

Beautiful photo Grandmattie, glad things went well yesterday but disappointing news about the chemo. I pray your DH’s side effects will settle.

Have a lovely time at the wedding Shazza, hope the weather stays fine.

I once projectile vomited at a consultant Marydoll. Apparently he wasn’t popular and the nurses thought it was hilarious! I, however, was mortified.

Beautiful painting BlueSapphire and such lovely memories.

Have a wonderful time in Ibiza Hollysteers, glad there were no problems with the journey other than the party makers.

Hoping FannyCornforth is recovering from successful surgery today.

My thoughts are with those going through difficult times, I hope today is a good one for us all ?.

ShazzaKanazza Sat 18-Jun-22 10:38:19

Gosh Blossoming what an adventure yesterday. So pleased you weren’t badly hurt. Take it easy today x

Jaxjacky Sat 18-Jun-22 10:41:22

Late good morning from S Hants, a bit cooler, yesterdays heat, in particular the humidity was draining.
Not a lot on today, there is a fete nearby perhaps this afternoon and Saturday paper to wade through.
Your geraniums are gorgeous gMattie Mediterranean memories.
An evocative picture for you BlueSapphire enjoy.
For those poorly or with loved ones suffering, my thoughts are with you.
If out and about, meals, family, weddings, enjoy every moment.
May you all have at least one ?

Grannyme6 Sat 18-Jun-22 10:53:30

Thank you for your greeting Shazza. I’m feeling pretty low right now so it was good to see.

aggie Sat 18-Jun-22 11:46:39

Morning from a wet East Northants. Quite welcome after yesterday’s soaring temperature. Nothing much on today, watching the Queens tennis semi finals this afternoon will keep me occupied. Thoughts with those struggling as there are quite a few I think.flowers

Blossoming Sat 18-Jun-22 12:17:31

Hello Grannyme6? Sorry you’re feeling low, hope today is a better one for you flowers
