Good Morning Everyone,
Its sunny with a cloudless sky to start the longest day here in brackley this morning.
Today , I have a telephone appointment with a nurse from my surgery as refers to my health check plus diabetes's .
A call slot of 10 minutes ,and saves having the need to attend the surgery .
Am also hoping to my usual bus trip[ out to Bicester , for a coffee etc.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all,

We have lovely skies and sunshine here this morning, and the breeze seems to be very light for a change.

Pottering about today, I’ve got some ironing to tackle before it gets too hot and the bedding to change - never a dull moment in the Maple household! To quote Marydoll, I’ve got an empty today, so will probably get out my book later and sit in the garden to read it. Chores first, though.

Happy birthday Sar53, enjoy your lunch ????.

Hope you catch up on some sleep today, Greyduster. Those nights where things whirr round and round in your mind are dreadful, aren’t they? Everything seems so magnified at night, too. I hope that some clarity is forthcoming for you today ?.

Hope all goes well with your chat with the nurse today, Mick, and yours with the pharmacist, Ash. You are so right, some days, it’s all or nothing!

Take care everyone

Good morning from a sunny but cool Oxfordshire.
Of to Currys again today as new fridge is on the blink again, I need a new one and I’m sitting in the store until they agree, I’ll take a book with me so they know I mean business.
Apart from that some cooking to be done for the freezer in readiness for MzOops 50th birthday next month.
is Urms ok? As I haven’t seen her around and a PM wouldn’t go.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ?Northampton. I might see if I have enough washing for a load.

Decided I must lose a few pounds before my cruise (tried on my posh frocks last week and horrified to find they are on the tight side, and I can't do any of my skirts and shorts up). So when I went to M&S yesterday to pick up an order, bought a few of their low-calorie meals to give myself a kick start. Would like to lose about half a stone over the next two months.

A morning of pottering, followed by a health walk after lunch. Then water the garden.

Happy birthday ? Sar, have a lovely day.

The longest day - may the sun shine on us all.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 21-Jun-22 08:33:30

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s a lovely sunny warm one today. Could be a shorts day.
grandMattie ? thoughts as always
Happy birthday Sar?
Thinking about your daughter today Kitty. ?
dogsmother acute back pain is truly awful isn’t it. ? yoga stretches usually clear mine if I get it.

Yesterday I went to my friend for a cuppa. She messaged me and said put your trainers on and we’ll go for a walk. Well talk about walking fast and she talks so much I could barely keep up with her she’s relentless. Got 10,000 steps on that walk alone. She’d already done that walk at six o’clock that morning. Then back to hers for tea from a lovely teapot. She’d even bought specially gluten free little cakes for me and cut a pile of fruit up for us. Then gave me a trowel so I could take any plants I liked out of her garden for ours. A few days before that she gave me half a dozen jars of her homemade piccalilli. Talk about hospitality and generosity. Lovely lady.

Enjoy your day everyone if you can. Thinking of those with family worries and illness. ??

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
Yesterday was a day of small jobs around the house, sorted DH's clothes out of one wardrobe and hung my tops in it. A double wardrobe with double hanging rails and I have enough tops and blouses to fill it blush
Changed the bedding, I struggled with the king size sheet and duvet cover but own fault for doing it on a warm day.
Happy Birthday Sar.
Thinking of you and your DD Kitty.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 21-Jun-22 08:39:24

Sending (((hugs))) kitty ?

EkwaNimitee Tue 21-Jun-22 08:40:29

Good morning Mick and everyone from cool grey Carlisle. I am feeling a touch grey too as June 21, the longest day, is not my favourite one because the nights will now start pulling in on the way to winter. And so far, it's not been a very sunny warm summer. I shall busy myself with the laundry and housework then get on with my latest book, plus maybe plant something out in the garden. There are just a few pots waiting to go in then I will be able to see what gaps are left to give me an excuse to visit the garden centre once more.

I have that problem BlueSapphire. Half the weight I inadvertently lost last year has returned so losing half a stone before my August cruise would be good. Perhaps I should try moving house again, worked a treat last time with the weight problem!

Have a good day everyone.

ginny Tue 21-Jun-22 08:48:27

Good morning.
Tried to post earlier but for some reason it wouldn’t load.

We have smallest DGS for an hour or so this morning so will go to the swings and ten call in to collect some papers from a friend.
This afternoon I am going to a charity garden party with afternoon tea. It is in memory of a WI member. Being held in a large garden that is not usually open to the public.

Happy Birthday Sars53 .
Thinking of those of you who have worries and illness. Wishin all a good day.

Aldom Tue 21-Jun-22 08:49:47

Kittylester my thoughts are with you and your family. Hoping for the best for your daughter. flowers

Sent from my Galaxy

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, but the temperature is quite pleasant already.
I have been trying to post since 7am. Virgin Media need to get their act together, we have had days of this! Grrrrrr!

Thank you PantsI will certainly give it a go.
Grandmadinosaur, no peaking! ?

I am up and about early to take SIL to sign the papers for the sale of their home at last. DD needs the car, in order to get to work due to the train situation. DH offered to take SIL, but my smaller car is much easier to park in town, due to limited spaces.
Whilst he is in the solicitors, I intend to visit the jewellers with DHs broken watch. It is his favourite and I want to do it as a surprise. This is my opportunity, as he is usually with me.
It has been terrible time for them, because the legal process was taking so long, due to the other party's lawyer taking forever. This partly why DD has been so difficult
^recently, she was convinced it would never happen!

My plan is to potter in the garden for the rest of the day. Lots of tidying up needed. Yesterday was not a great day, heartwise and not much got done. I find working in the garden so restful, the mind is willing, but my blooming body continually let's me down with its unpredictability!
I love looking at all your garden photos and become quite envious of the pristine condition, with not a weed in sight! How do you do it?

Sending my very best wishes for your daughter Kitty, I hope she doesn't experience too many side effects.
As always, keeping all our patients in my prayers.
Grannmarie, how is your husband?
Finally, have a great day, Sar! ????

Apologies, if I have missed anyone.?

Good morning all from overcast South Lanarkshire.

Yesterday DH and I had a lovely little walk in our local park. We spent an age watching the toing and froing of a mother duck and her three babies in the pond then sat by the bowling green as a few members were practicing. It all felt very peaceful in the sunshine.

A friend came round for an hour later in the day, it’s odd but I find visitors very tiring and I don’t know why as we’re just sitting chatting.

DD and her firstborn are coming this evening to see if I can make a tiny alteration to a dress for DGD. I’m hoping it will just be a little hand sewing.

Thinking of you and your DD Kitty.
Happy birthday Sar.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Newquay Tue 21-Jun-22 08:56:53

We’re hoping to go to Llandudno beginning of July. Hopefully by then I’ll be recovered from covid. DH is suffering recurring UTIs so hope he’ll be well enough too.

GrannySomerset Tue 21-Jun-22 08:58:50

Am empty today until WI tonight when I will give my report on the NFWI Annual Meeting. Nothing particular planned so possibly a bit of cupboard sorting if the spirit moves me.

Thoughts with granMattie and the unnecessary frustrations she is contending with, and to everyone finding life difficult.

rjack Tue 21-Jun-22 09:05:43

Good morning from Carnoustie rather still and dull at present but hoping weather improves as the day goes on. Walking this morning with friends then coffee at the golf club in Monifieth. Gardening in the afternoon. Happy Birthday to all and keep well everyone. Sometimes I think I do not do much but when I write this down it makes me feel better. Does anyone else think this?

NanKate Tue 21-Jun-22 09:06:41

Good Mid Summer morning all from the Scottish Borders. It rained in the night which is lovely for the garden but its chilly today. I waved df farewell and now won't see her until Christmas probably. We both enjoyed the Usher Hall concert last night . It was a joyful community choir of 300 singers led by someone who was a cross between Gareth Malone and Peter Capaldi. He had us all singing Sunshine on Leith.

Home on the bus in the evening light without a coat.

Today I get a haircut and tonight a concert at the Folk Club. What a busy life I lead!
Happy Birthday to Sar enjoy your treats.
Kitty all the best to your DD.

luluaugust Tue 21-Jun-22 09:45:36

Good morning all from W Kent, I think it is going to warm up a bit. After washing yesterday its ironing this morning and then a bit of a drive to visit old friend (in both senses) and catch up with all the goings on.
Happy birthday Sar enjoy your day.
Best wishes to all

Blossoming Tue 21-Jun-22 10:01:11

Good morning Mick and all. It’s glorious sunshine in my corner of Lancashire, currently 17°C.

Yesterday a friend told me she’d been trying neurographic art. I had a look at a YouTube tutorial and it looked interesting, so I’m going to give it a try this afternoon. Other than that my plans are physio exercises as usual, then either a short walk depending on my balance or a spell on the exercise bike. Mr. B has some gardening planned, he has been potting up some plants for a summer fair for a local charity.

What a lovely day with your generous friend Shazza, 1,000 steps is my current goal!

Fingers crossed for your DD Kitty.

Happy Birthday Sar53.

I feel the same rjack but looking at today’s plan there’s quite a lot I can be doing.

Sending positive vibes to those going through difficult times. I’m hope today is a good one for us all, with a ?or ??along the way.

Kalu Tue 21-Jun-22 10:14:28

Good morning everyone. A cloudy start to the day in Glasgow but it is at least dry and not as windy.

DH has a pre OP assessment this afternoon, as for the rest of the day I will be potting up various coloured petunias to add splashes of colour around the garden.
DD2 and SiL did dinner last night, garlic chicken with roast veg. and lemon tart for pudding. For some reason, I find food always tastes better when someone else does the cooking. ?

Pleased you and your DH had a lovely peaceful time sitting in your local park which I know so well baubles I agree, it is lovely to have visitors but it will be tiring for you when you have been through so much. Rest up and look after yourself.
Many Happy returns Sar
My thoughts are with you and your darling daughter today Kitty. I have everything crossed all goes smoothly for you both. x

Best wishes for a good to to all whatever your day has in store for you.

Chrissielou Tue 21-Jun-22 10:32:24

Sending big hugs to Kittylester and her DD, we are in the similar position of watching our beloved daughters go on this dreadful journey. Sending my love to you both.
Very late posting, sun is shining and I'm stuck inside in front of a laptop, so much work to get through before breaking up for 2 weeks on Friday.
Hope you all find some sunshine and smiles today.
