Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Busy start today , do a small shop , and then get a taxi booked to take to my surgery for my blood test this morning.
Otherwise a easy day before the weekend.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from a very overcast and chilly Northampton; I know it's chilly because I have just been out to the bins in the process of clearing up after the cats - one of them had been sick on the back door mat, a nice present for me to come down to! I have rinsed the mat and put a good amount of carpet shampoo on it, and will give it another scrub shortly.

A visit to M&S Food and Sainsburys this morning. I need to pick up a replacement order, and return some trousers which were too small the wrong size. Shall have a coffee while I'm there.

Off out to a local amateur dramatics production tonight, so an early dinner. One of the actors (now in his 50s) is an ex-pupil of mine!

Hoping all enjoy a good day, especially grandMattie.

GrannySomerset Fri 24-Jun-22 08:19:11

Sorry life continues to be so hard, gMattie. Do hope today is a bit easier.

Grey skies but still warm here though rain is promised this evening when I am out at a gathering in a garden. Typical! Otherwise a session this afternoon with a new financial adviser so that I can understand where the money is and why. There are several jobs which need doing in the house and were postponed while DH was so unwell, and I need to be sure about what I can and can’t afford.

Morning all from a damp and grey looking West Oxfordshire. GM - those pots are magnificent! I will be spending the morning listening to two V&A lectures - Significant Edwardian women. After lunch, depending on the weather, we may pop over to a nearby National Trust property where the gardens are wonderful at the moment. OH would like me to make beef bourguignon tonight - isn’t it a bit warm?

A quick good morning from the Black country, running late today after another nuisance phone call in the early hours, still get them even after registering not to.
Meeting our friends in Redditch later.
Wishing everyone the best day possible, healing vibes and virtual hugs where needed.
Take care and may you all find some ?.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle where it looks like a day of sunshine and showers is in store. Yesterday turned out to be our hottest so far and too hot for me to work in the garden so I read and finished my book. No get up and go anyway as my body is getting over my venesection earlier in the week. Fortunately I'd decided to postpone getting the hose out on my new plantings until today, now it's not necessary as it rained heavily yesterday evening. Today I shall potter at small jobs of which there are many, I can't understand how I ever found time to go to work!

I hope it's a better day for all with difficulties of any kind, thinking of you.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 24-Jun-22 09:02:31

Good morning everyone, from a dull, breezy and chilly Oxfordshire, we had a few showers yesterday, but not enough to wet the pots, your pots look lovely GM and I hope you have a better day.
You seem to be receiving prompt attention Mick hope you get the results soon and can get some treatment to stop the fainting.
A day of paperwork today, tax man needs to be placated and then some gardening if it stays dry.
Hope everyone manages to find some sunshine.
Have a good day urms ? hope you are back soon.

dustyangel Fri 24-Jun-22 09:09:25

Good Morning everyone, a fine bright day here this morning which makes a change from the last week or so when we’ve had several big grey clouds and short sharp showers.

Will go and catch up with you all but I hope everyone with health and other problems some respite today.

aggie Fri 24-Jun-22 09:22:47

Good morning, here’s hoping your medical tests lead to a simple solution Michael
It’s overcast here in Co Armagh, if it rains it will save me carrying watering cans around the plants , but I have the washing machine on , double trouble !
Fingers crossed for a better day for gM and Marydoll ??

Grammaretto Fri 24-Jun-22 09:34:47

Good morning all from a really warm Scottish Borders.
No yoga today as the teacher has the dreaded covid.
It seems I am in the minority now, having never had it!
Tonight I am going to the theatre with 2 friends and before that an Italian meal so no cooking.

But before any of that I have a room to transform from a dumping ground it was DD's room to a guest bedroom in a couple of hours. Will I do it? My Czech helper is willing so at least there are 2 of us.

I am glad you are getting looked after Mick, promptly.
I hope the Oracle at Delphi gives it best to your boys gMattie I imagine it will be very hot today.

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
Yesterday was a busy day, we collected GD1 from school at 11.30 and we went for lunch at her favourite restaurant. No more school for her but she does have the prom next week.
DIL and GD2 came after school and they had a meal and stayed until 10pm, I was shattered as the heat was oppressive.
I had a message to say that they had cancelled my sister's flight again and she would not be arriving today. She is upset and thinks she should claim a refund and stop attempting to reach the UK at present.
Today I am alone and will use the time to do some housework and possibly watch some TV which is a luxury these days.
Thoughts are with poorly people and carers.

Good morning all from a warm W Kent. Another quiet day here, I am afraid my reminisces of having Covid are not to be a slight sore throat and headache. Anyway out of bed today so will try and read and lie around, very good at that.
Best wishes to all and thinking of you

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 24-Jun-22 10:01:55

Good Morning all from bright but cloudy Harrogate.
Sorry you are having such a hard time GrandMattie hope today is easier.
You are certainly getting the attention you need from the surgery, Mick. Hope the results come soon and prove you have nothing to worry about!
We have a nothingness day today, lots of little things to do - washing, cleaning etc. boring stuff
All the talk of Llandudno is making me feel I want to go back there! When we were there in April, so a strange sculpture behind Curry's, when one turned to look at me I realised it was a live pile of goats, such majestic creatures with beautiful silky hair. It's the closest I've been to them. Can certainly recommend the town for a break, but make sure the premises you stay at has parking!!
Have the best day you can folks!

Good morning Mick and all from Ibiza. Leaving later today, so enjoying our last healthy breakfast of melon, pure orange juice etc. Thought I hadn’t brought very much, but what with buying stylish clothes here, it’s a bit much! Just reading and sunbathing before leaving for airport and I’m enjoying the book club choice (not always the case) A Town called Solace. We meet in the flesh too for the first time, zooming not for me.
This holiday business can be quite hard work lol, need a holiday when I get home….
Thoughts to grandmattie Kalu those with daughters having treatment and anyone with any worries.

annsixty Fri 24-Jun-22 10:19:28

Good morning all from a sunny Stockport.
A very rare poster but a daily reader I just had to post today after the remarks about Llandudno.
One of my very favourite places.
We had a static caravan just a few miles away for 9 wonderful years until my H started his dementia journey.
I never ever tired of the place it was so lovely.
I have just visited once since staying for two nights on the way back from Dublin.
Would love to visit once more.
Kindest thoughts and sincerest best wishes to all who have problems themselves and ailing loved ones.

Mapleleaf Fri 24-Jun-22 10:47:54

Good morning,
It’s bright but not very sunny here today, and feels quite muggy. We have rain forecast for this afternoon, but I hope it waits until I get back from the hairdresser.

Your garden looks very pretty, GM. Such beautiful pots. I’ll be pottering around in my garden shortly to do a bit of deadheading and general tidying.

Best wishes to you all.

Litterpicker Fri 24-Jun-22 10:58:32

Good morning from West Sussex. Cloudy today so maybe a bit cooler - I hope so as I have a long list of things I must do. This is not because I am an industrious or busy person but because I have procrastinated too much recently ?
I did make a bit of an impact on the garden on Tuesday so now, when I earn a coffee break I can enjoy sitting in it.

I have never been to Llandudno - I must suggest it to DH. Quite a long way from us but we could divert there on our regular trips to and from Scotland.

Hope for a better day for the GMs, Marydoll and all struggling.

Urmstongran Fri 24-Jun-22 12:50:10

Here’s Matt.

A very late good morning everyone from me. I’ve just been allowed back after my suspension. I’ve missed you all on this lovely thread. I’m sorry to hear Mick that you’ve had bad news from your GP surgery. I hope it’s not as bad as you fear.

I’ve been busy culling clothes from my wardrobe. I’ve got bags to take down in the lift to the charity shop this afternoon. I’ve got rid of 3/4 of what I had in my wardrobe - most of which I love but can’t wriggle into any more. If I lose weight I’ll treat myself to some new stuff but tell you what, it’s cathartic! Less is definitely more. At least now when I open the wardrobe what’s in there (a) fits and (b) I like.
