I don't live in Scotland (yet) and I'm not a gran (yet) but DH's family come from Troon. Whenever we visit he searches out those little flat, round cakes in a pastry case covered with icing- with a cherry or sweet on top!
He still talks about his grandmother's homemade tablet as well as the Ayrshire bacon, which he remembers as having cinnamon (?) sprinkled on it.
