Listening to Radio 4.. Chris Mason during interview, stopped it to say he had a call from Downing St.. Seconds later he's back saying he's Gone!

I don't care what time he goes but I will say 5pm.

BBC are saying he will resign, but I can’t see that he has. I say 2.30pm today. I’m painting garden fences, so best only have a cup of tea

I can’t imagine the chaos and problems that Johnson, with no ethics, no consideration for political or constitutional norms, and nothing within politics to look forward to, will cause over the summer. Poor bloody country. I hope it is not permitted.

So I'm just looking at the protocol and even if he resigns it doesn't mean he steps down. He can remain as a caretaker PM until someone is chosen to be the next PM. So if you are askig when he goes well that's different to when he resigns (or might be)
