Good Morning Mick and everyone from a sunny Hull. Another hot day promised.

So pleased your back with us Urms? Matt is very funny this morning.

Georgesgran I loved hearing about the banner marches in Durham.

This morning we are picking up GD for the day and overnight. DD and SIL are going to a wedding. Baby B is with the other grandparents. M is thoroughly looking forward to a day of being totally spoilt. We are going to the coast for the day. Tonight she’s in bed with me. Goodness knows how I’ll be in the morning. DH is relegated to the downstairs bedroom.
I meant to tell you all that the other day she ran all the way to pre school. Usually she cycles and her dad jogs alongside but she insisted she wanted to run. She ran the full one and a half miles without stopping they couldn’t believe it. Poor love was complaining her legs ached on the night though. She’s only 3. A possible marathon runner in the making perhaps.

Have a good day everyone with all your activities and thoughts to those with illness and stress. ??

Good morning everyone, a lovely sunny start here too.
I am thinking of you and your family grandMattie ?

Early DDog walk before it gets too warm then I’m having an Ercol sofa delivered (absolutely thrilled with getting a completely refurbished one!) and will spend the rest of the day sorting out more stuff to go to the charity shop- honestly, it’s embarrassing how much I have accumulated over the years! I guess having got rid of a big dresser and other furniture that’s inevitable ?
No more buying storage boxes, one in, one out!
It’s really invigorating cutting back on things.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend x

An early good morning Michael and all GNs from a cloudy South Yorkshire, thank the Lord. Try and stay cool today, Mick and drink plenty of water. It was so hot yesterday. I went shopping with DD in the morning and then spent the afternoon at home pottering about doing laundry and generally trying to keep cool. I had a walk down the lane last night. There are masses of ripening hazelnuts and blackberries this year; lovely to see. No idea what I’ll be doing today - see what unfolds.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Hello and good morning everyone from south Manchester. I’m allowed back in from the norty step. I’ve missed you all. I wish I could share something with you but I’d best not.

Anyhoo, it’s lovely to be back. However, grandMattie I was much saddened to learn of the death of your dear man in my absence. Please accept my sincere condolences at this very sad time.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the glorious Durham. I’ve been up since stupid o’clock to finish emptying out two rooms for the decorator due this morning. I still have a horrendous summer cold, despite testing negative, but it is taking me twice as long to do anything and I’m exhausted afterwards. As soon as the decorator gets here, I plan to make myself scarce. Today is Miners Gala or the big meeting in Durham. In it’s hayday, all the local Collieries would converge with their brass bands to parade their banners through the city streets having them blessed in the cathedral en route. Miners, their wives and families would follow their own banner, often dancing to the band. Banners draped in black, accompanied by a silent band would indicate an accident at the pit with fatalities. It used to be so huge an event that shops would have to board up the windows for fear of the crowds being pushed into them as people stood 10 deep to watch the banners pass by. Nowadays, it’s still a colourful spectacle and whilst some banners are still paraded, a lot of other organizations now take part.
I shall come back and read this read later but hold that gM and MD are coping.

Morning Mick it is hot, best time of the day is now.
The necessary admin going smoothly is a help grandMattie I hope your DS enjoys his day.
Quiet one planned today, maybe some washing, orchestration of blinds and windows opening and closing to keep the house as cool as possible.
Wishing you all your best day ??

Good morning from yet another bright day in E Kent. I hope it won’t be too hot.
The registration went very well with a lovely, sympathetic registrar. She is as pedantic as us and regretted not being able to put the appropriate apostrophe in St. George’s. She said it would bug her all day! The other appointments went well too - funeral directors, bank, solicitor…
I’ve still to write a few letters to DH’s “girls” who he used to work with - DH refused to use email!
Quiet day otherwise today. I have persuaded DS to meet some of his friends as he has had a pretty rubbish vacation to date. He has wall to wall rugby today though.
Look after yourselves, dear friends, I hope today is kind. Carpe diem. ???❤️??

Good Morning Everyone,
A bright sunny start here in brackley this morning .
I have still yet to attempt trips further afield, as it was HOT yesterday .
I was having a bad day etc due to lack of breeze in the air but managed OK .
I also picked up prescriptions from local Boots , but is was queing again as one person at a time being served .
I also ordered my lateral flow kit from NHS as with the forthcoming endoscopy appointment I need to show a negative .
Take Care,
Mick
