I've been browsing the forums and you seem a nice bunch, so thought I would introduce myself.

I'm 61 (how did that happen?) and live in London with my partner of 20+ years and a daft black cat. My two sons, now in their 30s, live nearby. No grandchildren, but hopefully that doesn't exclude me from being here!

I work in the City as an Office Manager which I really enjoy and I'm hoping will see me out until retirement. I don't feel ready to stop working just yet. smile

Anyway, hello all! Sho.

Hi Shoshone,
My son and his family live in London ( don’t think that they’d live anywhere else) and bless the opening of the Elizabeth Line!
I think that you will enjoy the discourse on this site.

Prentice, I love living in London but on days like this a sea breeze would be wonderful.

What a lovely welcome! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all more.

Welcome Shoshana. I hope you enjoy being a Gransnetter - you certainly don’t need to be a grandparent to join, we also have some men in the group. I joined Gransnet in the first lockdown of 2020 and love it. It feels like a little community, a group of friends. Great for advice or as a sounding board and many different subjects are covered, some very serious, some funny, some perhaps what some would consider more trivial (in the nicest possible way of course!). I love it - I dip in and out and sometimes don’t add any comments for weeks, but I check the Gransnet subjects/comments most days. A very warm welcome from me.

Welcome I arrived here as a new nanny to twins nearly six years ago. It’s a nice place to be for chat support advice and lovely recipes.

Welcome Shoshana the site is brilliant there's so much help and advice if needed.
A great bunch of very worldly wise posters with fantastic sense of humour.
Certainly kept me sane during lockdown.Following people's daily posts give insight into what's out there if you make the effort
Haven't found anything yet that you cannot get help with.
Very addictive.
