Following on from the thread about your partner’s most annoying habit, confess your own.

I think mine is that I will always put the opposing point of view even if I don’t agree with it.

Dealing with questions and discussions too thoroughly, elaborating on the issues beyond a simple response. Depends on the other person whether this is a problem or not: some people want a yes/no answer in simplespeak and others want a more considered, explanatory complex answer.

Procrastination

I am not a good listener. I start off ok but my brain wanders in the middle of what is being said. Actually, I do it when I am talking to so may stop dead in the middle of a sentence leaving my husband hanging. I've tried to do something about it but it just happens. Research shows that I may be ADHD!

I am a hopeless housewife. I start something, get side tracked ad infinitum. By the end of the day I have not achieved a noticeable difference. I get easily overwhelmed by the amount of housework needed so I put off doing anything.

I can't go into a restaurant and order a meal straight off the menu. My husband says they end up serving me a dish they didn't even know they did!

The most annoying to me?
Backing down to my sister. I find her very controlling, which I know she would never admit.

Whether this annoys her or not, I don't know!

Poor timekeeping, apparently. I never arrive ahead of time for anything, don't see the point. When I worked, I would enter the building one minute before I was due to start work. When I arrange to meet people, I get there on the dot. Well, usually - I am often 5-10 minutes late. I live about 3 minutes from the train station, and I usually walk onto the train just before the guard blows the whistle for departure.

I'm constantly told I am very negative. I prefer to think I look at all angles in case there is something that might be a disaster later. Seems more like common sense to me.

Probably my most annoying habit is that I don't know what it is!

Rosina Sat 16-Jul-22 12:23:53

In a lively debate talking over people as I am so eager to speak.
Impetuous, often resulting in disastrous decisions.
Not listening to advice.
Droning on about things.
Impatient.
Oh dear - I could also list about twenty more annoying habits....it's a wonder I have any friends at all.....confused

Putting things down, not away...

Larsonsmum Sat 16-Jul-22 12:12:09

I'm a Virgo - being a perfectionist, and not suffering fools gladly.

Mamma66 Sat 16-Jul-22 12:11:06

Oh my goodness! Not so much ‘where do I start as where do I finish!’

Bossy
Opinionated
Tactless
Stubborn
Not very punctual
Impatient
Sometimes indecisive

I will have to ask the long suffering DH if there is anything else to add… ?

On the plus side I hope that most people would describe me as very kind. My one redeeming feature… ?

Missingmoominmama Sat 16-Jul-22 12:09:56

Procrastination, untidiness, and an intolerance of certain noises (I can’t be around someone whistling).

nipsmum Sat 16-Jul-22 12:09:19

I am a chatterbox. I'm sure it annoys people but they are too polite to tell me to shut up.

Yammy Sat 16-Jul-22 12:06:42

Indecision. It means decisions take ages to come to because I consider everyone's opinions and expect everyone else to do the same.

BlueBelle Sat 16-Jul-22 12:00:59

Ohhhh forgot my worst one …indecisive ( I m Pisces swim in opposite directions)

BlueBelle Sat 16-Jul-22 11:59:26

Too quick and slapdash
Always defend people ( even if they don’t deserve it)
Am too optimistic
And jiggle my legs

Nona4ever Sat 16-Jul-22 11:59:20

Being perfect……..

LadyGaGa Sat 16-Jul-22 11:55:14

Needing to be prepared for every eventuality. I have ‘emergency’ everything. I’ve just spent the last week making sure I have emergency chargers for every appliance - ones in the house and some for my handbag with a power pack. Oh, and some for holidays. I drive myself mad! ?

Saggi Sat 16-Jul-22 11:52:10

Impatience ….. and I married a man that’s does everything g at a ‘snails pace’…. drives me mad. Yep …impatient as hell!

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 16-Jul-22 11:48:20

I’m an ‘everything has a place and should be in that place’ person and if something isn’t in that place, I get annoyed! I’m also bossy and know I’m always right.

Nell8 Sat 16-Jul-22 11:47:24

Interrupting DH when he's engrossed in a TV programme and I've been sidetracked on Gransnet. "Whadiddyjustsay? Whoozee? " "Why don't you just shut up and listen, then you'll find out."

DanniRae Sat 16-Jul-22 11:43:45

I worry too much about everything!!

Willow68 Sat 16-Jul-22 11:43:42

Smoking with out a doubt! I gave up for years and somehow started again. Also I am unorganised but that’s not a habit as such, I have ADHD so I’m constantly trying to organise myself with unfinished lists of tasks…

Beanie654321 Sat 16-Jul-22 11:38:50

I have difficulty saying no. If I do I then guilt myself into doing it.

hulahoop Sat 16-Jul-22 11:38:12
