After 20 years I need to replace my everyday watch. It's a well known brand and I found one that closely matched online from the same maker. I did look at the measurements but so disappointed when it arrived. It's huge, heavy and I dislike it. My wrist is less than 7 inches and I don't think that it's a good look. My husband said that at least you will be able to see it! Don't know why they have to be so HUGE !

How disappointing. Can you return it? You could get used to the size but the weight will always be irritating. Hope you manage to sort something out.
I always liked more delicate watches. Then when DH wanted to buy me an Apple Watch I went for the bigger one, but at least it’s light.

Thanks, I've unpacked it so I think that I'm stuck with it.

Give it a go sending it back. What have you got to loose? Nothing ?

Why not buy a child's fitbit...My grandaughter who is 12 has a beautiful rectangle shaped pink on...I can get it on my wrist as well....Maybe it's more of a dress watch your talking about....

Send it back even if you have unpacked it. I have a Skagen watch, very light and slim and can be adjusted to fit on a mesh strap.

There is no reason not to send it back daisymae - check out Consumer Contracts Regulations. ‘Which’ has a good article on this.

I have always worn mens' watches, I have a narrow wrist but large workmanlike hands and lady's watches look like something out of a christmas cracker on me.

I wear an Apple watch I am afraid. I don't care what it looks like but performs many functions, answers my phone, tells the time, sends news reports etc

I've got a very slim wrist and a large iwatch. I don't care how it looks, it's the most comfortable watch I have ever had. It stays in place unlike my other watches where the straps twist and hang limply on my wrist. Give it a try/
