Something (to eat) that you hardly ever buy, because you know you’ll only make a pig of yourself?

Thought inspired by the fact that I just bought a packet of Garibaldi biscuits - I buy them maybe twice a year.

Another is blackcurrant jelly cubes, which I just eat. Twice a year if that.

(People with iron self control who have no idea what I’m talking about, need not reply, thank you!)

Me too Libman.
Also tiramasu and trifle.
Left overs would be eaten before breakfast next day.

Cheeselets, they are small cheesy biscuits. Fortunately I can only get them at Christmas. I have been known to slap my husband's hand away when he tried to take some.

Most of the above!
My village bakery does a delicious cheese and Marmite cob loaf, which I will buy occasionally on a Saturday and eat all of it over the weekend as one inch slices toasted and thickly buttered.

Jaffa cakes

Ice cream. Hardly ever buy this, but have some in freezer for this warm weather. (It's purely medicinal, of course.)

Blue cheese ,any blue cheese but especially gorgonzola .I f its not in the house I cant eat it .Sometimes my OH will pick up a piece when he's shopping ....I let it sit in the fridge until its on its sell by date ,take one small piece of it and feed the rest to the birds

AreWeThereYet Mon 18-Jul-22 13:57:26

Almost anything creamy and/or sugary. And bread. And cakes. I can eat a box of Jaffa cakes or a bag of doughnuts in about 3 minutes flat. I have no control whatsoever. We do have a cake if out for coffee, and dessert when out for dinner, but never bring them home.

Nice bread, chocolate biscuits of any kind, homemade cake especially lemon drizzle and liquorice allsorts...even the round bobbly ones!!!

Danish blue cheese with a pack of Hovis digestives. I could easily eat the lot in a day.

I don't think they make them any more, but Chocolate Chip and Hazelnut Boaster biscuits. I think Cadbury made them

Nine in a pack - which would last just one (large, to be fair) mug of tea.

Asda tiger bread baton (imo the best of the tiger breads) and a pack of Lurpak

I scoff whatever I like, whenever I like (that's why I'm a fat sod)

M&S cheese straws. Can’t leave them alone once opened. There are two boxes out of my sight waiting for friends to stay later in the month. They are calling to me, so far I’ve resisted grin.

Me too. I could eat a box full in one go. They're sooo moorish.

JaneJudge Mon 18-Jul-22 15:14:15

those little cheese biscuits you can buy that are like pebbles. I bought two boxes in morrisons last week, cheese and chutney boites i think they were called. I am weak sad

BlueSapphire Mon 18-Jul-22 15:14:21

Fry's Chocolate Cream
Maltesers
Strong Cheddar Cheese
Crumbly fudge
Plain chocolate digestives
Anything left over on the DGDs' plates when they used to come here for their tea three days a week. I was a dustbin, used to shovel it in. They're both at big school now, so can look after themselves after school. Pity.......

Chocolates , especially those Belgian shell ones.

Aaaargh, you have just reminded me there is a box of those in my hall cupboard!

There are too many things to mention that I can’t have in the house.

Oooooh yes Wensleydale cheese with cranberries or apricots! There’s a piece in the fridge right now of the cranberry kind from our local farm shop. Bought on Saturday my excuse is it was my birthday

Can’t resist almond magnums - dont buy them anymore

watermeadow Mon 18-Jul-22 15:27:35

Bread, butter, cheese. Things normal people normally have. I don’t buy them because I can’t leave them alone.

Doodledog

This thread has reminded me that I got a bar of Dairy Milk with my Sainsbury's order, and it is in my bag. I'm off to make a pig of myself grin

It’s probably melted grin

NotAGran55 Mon 18-Jul-22 15:56:37

Salted peanuts. The bigger the better. They would be my last ‘meal’ on earth if I had to choose one.
