I'll start this off. Look after two grandsons aged 1 and 3. Now exhausted!!!

Come down to breakfast to find the oven telling me to clean it!

If my oven spoke to me it would get its marching orders!

My kitchen waste is blocked so no cleaning today whether it is too hot or not (north Scotland ) - hopefully the plumber can sort it out later today.

Cycle up a steep hill as I saw a lycra clad man do just now.

Make Jam

Leave the freezer door ajar overnight.

That's what OH managed to do.
To be honest, it was three nights ago, so just before the official heatwave, but it was already very warm, and the results just as slushy.

This makes me feel better about mine just being comatose!

As I posted on another thread:

Cleaning up after a panicked pigeon found its way into the conservatory, leaving piles of feathers and poo behind, including on the cream fabric settee.
(Pigeon caught in a towel, recovered and flew off if anyone was worried about it)

Later:
Cleaning up flying ants and running ants in the kitchen (how on earth did they get in?)

DH has just brought some buttermilk for me to make scones!! Why didn't he just buy ready baked scones?
Give him the recipe and show him the oven, MiniMoon!
I had buttermilk left from experimenting making butter the other day and thought scones would be lovely. But I didn't make any.

Expect the Queens guard to wear bearskins - absolute nonsense.

Make decisions ? About whether to book a short holiday in this country. Flying looks so hideous and trains unreliable…

Play golf. Only 9 holes but I did win. Was very very thirsty.

Sunbake. Walk across concrete in bare feet.

Spice101 Tue 19-Jul-22 01:55:41

Constantly think about how hot it is.

Run from a delivery van across two lawns to our door at midday as an Amazon driver did today. Hope he lasted the day.

henetha Mon 18-Jul-22 23:14:28

Go to a Zumba class

nandad Mon 18-Jul-22 20:56:11

Batch bake to use up a glut of raspberries.

Drive your car without ever checking the water levels and being stuck at the side of the road when the car stopped working.

Oh at least until Wednesday HowVeryDareYou, maybe longer if you can get away with it. I hate ironing.

HowVeryDareYou Mon 18-Jul-22 19:28:08

I've got ironing to do...........or shall I just leave it until Wednesday grin

Smileless2012 Mon 18-Jul-22 19:21:41

Agreed Blondiescot we wont be taking ours out until about 8.30/9.00 pm and then it will be to the cemetery which is cool and shaded.

Blondiescot Mon 18-Jul-22 19:18:47

Take your dog for a walk (except for very early in the morning or late at night when it is cooler). No dog ever died from missing a walk - plenty die from being exercised when it's too hot.

Go into the shade and cut up fuchsia tree branches for the green waste bin. Thought I was going to implode!
