Cook a pie, mashed potatoes, veg and gravy as my husband did for himself this evening in searing heat. No way would I have done that.

I would have said, help with Gds’ 6th birthday party in the park, masses of kids - at least 35.
But actually it was fine - plenty of shade under some big trees.

Accept any vidéo calls.

Definitely! I had an online lesson 20 minutes after I'd walked DGS back from school. I was bright red in the face from the heat outside and only starting to be less day-glo coloured by the end of the hour lesson.

Adding to yours, mokryna - accept any video calls when you're sitting in your underwear.

That's what my mum was doing when I called her an hour ago. grin

I've just had my oven cleaned - even more reason not to cook although the temperature has dropped here.

Cook.

Just got deliveroo to bring in a paella and ice cream from Waitrose.

Put too much mustard on a mini pork pie at lunchtime. It felt as if tiny needles had shot up my nose into my sinuses. Moaning and weeping for ages.

Two words.

Swimming pool. Took my DGS yesterday. We were in the cool water through the hottest part of the day. Painlessly.

Not brave enough to take 2 very small people to a swimming pool on my own!! My did have the paddling pool though!

JaneJudge Tue 19-Jul-22 12:55:59

work in a fast paced environment

Maggiemaybe Tue 19-Jul-22 12:49:35

Get in a car that’s sat outside in full sun for two days without leaving time to cool it down first.

Dogsmakemesmile Tue 19-Jul-22 12:05:34

Feel a bit stupid now as have made bread...it is cool in my kitchen though

Purplepixie Tue 19-Jul-22 11:39:21

It would be great to not have to wear a bra!

HeavenLeigh Tue 19-Jul-22 11:35:49

Not take your dogs out in this blistering heat

Athrawes Tue 19-Jul-22 11:32:53

I'm not cooking if I can avoid it, I'm stacking up a pile of washing but I don't want to use too much water [good excuse!?] and I'm certainly not cleaning even though the place needs it - I ain't got no energy! I've just taken my car in for service and walking home [which isn't far at all] nearly wiped me out
