Vision Disturbances: "Aura" Without Headache?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey and dull start here in brackley this morning .
Yesterdays trip got as far as Buckingham then a return home , but I enjoyed watching both the Commonwealth Games cycling plus the femmes Tour De France.
I will start to pack today as to my break for a few days ,starting tomorrow.
Take Care,
Mick
Blossoming. Thankyou
Glad all went well for your husband Megs, good luck for Tuesday.
(Good morning all. My husbands procedure on Friday ]bronchoscopy) went well, now awaiting result ??. This was with considerable help getting there and back from dear friends. I have eye scan and tests on Tuesday, my son will take me. We are lucky with help because not going out independently at all now. Probably been out less than a dozen times for a couple of years, except for two wonderful family weddings,so frustrating, thank heavens for deliveries ,and on line ordering. The good thing is I-never need new clothes. !!
Trust all well and sympathy to those with health worries, just hoping here in the SE,for some rain…who’d have thought it!!!!????
Good morning from coastal West Sussex. Grey here but no rain forecast.
Travelled back from Scotland on Thursday. Family there are off with their new caravan, to the north-west of Scotland where there will be plenty of rain and/or midges! Our three weeks culminated with a trip to Dundee with the boys (14y). We explored The Discovery and they also did The Unicorn with DH. I felt mildly seasick when down in the depths of Discovery. DH says this is impossible as it is in dry dock but I said its keel is in water and my head knows when the ground under my feet is moving ?
Now preparing for new vinyl plank flooring to be laid in living room, hall and cloakroom next week. We said we’d take the skirting boards off. I thought it would be laboursome but straightforward having studied a couple of YouTube videos but DH started on Friday and it’s a nightmare - great long nails that were obviously not intended to come out ?
Mick I hope you have a lovely break.
Had limited Wi-Fi while away but did occasional catch-ups with the news here. Thinking of all those with health problems - their own or others - and those grieving.
Good morning Mick and all. It’s dry and bright in my corner of Lancashire, currently 18°C.
Hard to believe it’s the end of July already, my time is slipping away. Yesterday was a fairly quiet day, it rained non stop. Today will be usual exercises, increasing cycling time to 45 minutes, more Gaelic lessons which I’m loving. Mr. B and I have been planning a trip North in the autumn, all being well, so things to think about. But before that the usual bacon rolls for brunch. I’m still in bed drinking tea, not feeling good today, hoping I haven’t caught a bug. I was sneezing a lot yesterday and my throat hurts. It feels like hay fever but more extreme.
Have the best day you can everyone ???
Good morning from a damp Durham. It rained quite heavily last night and it’s mizzle this morning.
A strange day yesterday and I unintentionally fell asleep twice! That’s not like me, but the result was I just stayed up for most of the night and now feeling a bit groggy. No plans, so might brave a walk later as I don’t want to sleep during the day and I’ll email my SiL later. She and I have done this for some years now.
Best wishes for a decent day all round.
It's a damp morning here it's been wet for several mornings then drizzled most of day 5th day of isolation ,hopefully I can get enough energy to do some housework .A lodge sounds good Grandmadinasaur.we prefer self catering holidays now.Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It feels chilly and has been raining. We certainly needed rain.
How wonderful to see your GS joining the marathon Maw
My kitchen is at last being painted so major upheaval. DS and his family are due in less than a week so I hope to have some things to rights before then.
I am glad that DD arrived safely home Kalu though bittersweet for you.
May the day go well for us all.
Good morning from a cloudy, windy W Kent. The house thermometer says it is 24 degrees indoors. Bed making and tidying up for brother coming tomorrow ahead of my birthday.
Hoping to get out for a walk later before football.
Best wishes to all
Good morning all from wet and miserable Harrogate. Ounce the rain starts it forgets to stop - I’ll send a bucket of rain if someone will send me a ? bucket of ☀️ sunshine! - Deal!
Managed to see the colourful carnival yesterday and DH wanted to sit inside a cafe, but I moved outside where we were joined by DD1 and DGD. How so many people managed to dance on tall stilts beats me! It was very loud and bright colours. Apart from the photo!! We went down to the valley gardens were I hoped to graze lunch of the tasty foreign food being served, DH wanted his bacon sarnie.
Had a bad night last night s not going to church- it would be too embarrassing if I fell asleep there!
Awesome planters Marydoll!
Have the best day possible folks
Morning from S Lanarkshire, cloudy as per. DD5 and SiL still asleep after an overnight stay. They were attending a family occasion of his locally. I’m just going to run up and get fresh roll for their breakfast: DD still loves her mum’s scrambled egg!
They’ll leave then to pick up the children who were having a sleepover with a friend, I think she’ll be glad to see them!
Peaceful rest of the day and I wish everyone the same ???
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Another here who thought the monitor was like that dratted thermostat which didn’t work during menopause!
Ooh, a lodge, Grandmadinosaur. I was so impressed by one we stayed in that lodges are now my preferred holiday accommodation.
Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton, more showers forecast later.
A lazy morning then out to the cinema this afternoon with friends to see the new Railway Children film. Wine
may be taken..... Which reminds me, a ring on the doorbell yesterday evening and it was neighbours bearing gifts - wine to be exact. They had just returned from their holiday in France and brought me three bottles as a thank you for me letting them use my drive while they have building works going on. Can't wait to try them!
Lamb chops and new potatoes for dinner tonight. Not decided about watching the football yet.
Have a peaceful and pleasant Sunday everyone.
Good morning from a wet South Yorkshire. I think it’s been raining for a while, but it’s good to see the lawns starting to green up again, so mustn’t complain.
We eventually got to the family wedding, despite rail strikes, flight cancellations, fires affecting tracks, etc, and it was well worth it. We had a lovely time and it was so good meeting up with family we last saw 5 years ago. The wedding had been postponed twice due to the pandemic, but I’m happy to say it all went off without a hitch and a good time was had by all.
I’m at sixes and sevens with what day it is now, with having to travel on different days to our original plans due to some of the above issues, but no doubt that will sort itself soon.
I hope you enjoy your few days away, Mick.
Not a lot on the agenda for today, other than do the ironing, and if it stops raining, plant a few plants I got yesterday for the boarder which is looking a bit patchy and needs some more colour.
I hope you all have a good day.
Good morning from a very dull and overcast Oxfordshire, I had a rubbish night, but only have some ironing to do today. Cooking a roast at teatime with MissOops and nephew they will bring the dog and will collect her tomorrow as usual
Let’s hope we see some sun, enjoy your trip Mick
Hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning everyone, I have the washing machine on , but I’m not hopeful of hanging the sheets out !
Maw we saw your Grandson running yesterday and we’re cheering him on , what a great sight !
Good morning all from damp East Yorkshire. Alexa says it will be showery and thunderstorms today. Wishing your DD well in the run today Shazza
Yesterday we had a run out to have a look around the lodge park where we are viewing a property in Friday. We liked what we saw so it’s looking good. It was very tranquil. There is an open weekend next weekend and a tempting offer of no site fees to pay until 2024.
Late afternoon we had a FaceTime with DS and the GC. GS was very giddy with all his news! They were on the balcony of the room and kept tiring the phone round Simu could see the beach and the sea. They have had some perks due to a friends GF who works at Jet2. Lucky them!
No plans to day but as the weather is so bleugh I might actually do a proper Sunday roast.
I too thought that Ekwanimitee about the energy monitor Greyduster mentioned!
Take care everyone.
Morning all! Just popping in to celebrate rain in Suffolk! There is more forecast in the day too.
We had all of our little family here this weekend and people are only just waking up. DD is into the last two weeks, so DGS could arrive at any time. She will be glad to lose the carpel tunnel syndrome and the swollen feet!
Time to go - breakfasts to organise!
I hope the day is kind to everyone!
Morning all from a grey S Hants, no rain in sight today or next week.
We had the grandchildren yesterday for a couple of hours, they’re off on holiday a week tomorrow and very excited.
Sports day here too Sar and Urms with George Russell a young brit at 24 on pole for the GP and the Lionesses later. We may watch the football in a pub.
Enjoy your Sunday all, with hopefully a ?or ??
Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Lunch today with friend entailing longish train trip to garden village, one change. Don’t feel like it, but will when I get going.
Don’t know what to put on as it’s cooler and I would like my legs out, bare legs, but feel the cold
Last day of feeding neighbour’s cats and will read through later
Hope you have a good day.
Good morning from N. Bucks. It is warmish but I would like to see some blue sky.
Yesterday we decided that we would book a holiday for later in the year. We have found the one we like and are waiting for confirmation. Hopefully some blue skies will be seen then.
Today we are taking the dog to the secure field for a run and then on to DD2 for lunch.
Wishing all a good day and Mick, hope your trip goes well.
Good morning from the north west. Sorry, grandMattie, but we’re regularly having rain. Our coir mats (formerly known as lawns) are beginning to turn green.
The family is joining us to eat and watch the Lionesses.
Whatever your day holds, I hope it brings a smile.
?
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It has rained in the night and the grey clouds are moving swiftly to the east.
I went to bed early last night and slept like a log. I was very tired after all my jobs yesterday and plan to take it easier today and do some house work. It’s really time to get the duster etc out, I keep saying ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’. First of all though I’m going to catch up with Gardener’s World.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone ??
Good morning from a grey, hot and humid Colchester. We've had a little bit of overnight rain and more is forecast with thunderstorms today. The 27° temperature will make it uncomfortable.
A quiet Sunday here with a roast chicken dinner and cheering on the Lionesses later.
Love to all ?x
