I love a list, especially when it’s full of ticks!
Todays list is;

Clean fridge
Ironing
Market fruit & veg.
Collect parcel.
Phone contracts to sort
Confirm & print out France accommodations.

What’s on your to do list today?

My to do list is a lot longer than the list of what I know I will do today

Procrastination is my middle name!

I have the washing machine going so need to top up the water tank with hose from stand pipe. I have started giving the weeping willow a haircut but blister started to appear on hand so will finish another day. I have to take toilet cassette to empty...ten minute walk with it on wagon to my car and then to emptying point. I will water veg buckets and flower pots this evening. Might sit and read under parasol on the jetty later as long as there is a cooling breeze. Need to go hang washing out now. Will be dry in no time....

MissAdventureDont you have the wee busses you book to pick you up from home.drop you off and collect you at a pre arranged time? They are never out of my street ,when the covid jags were booked all the over 60's in the street had appointments the same day and the bus picked us all up on one trip but collected us from different places for the return journey.
All available on our bus pass

Will pm you tomorrow about. A possible one that might help you

MissAdventure Fri 12-Aug-22 00:02:15

That is exactly what I've been thinking and droning on about today.

About a ten minute walk, but with nowhere to rest, it may as well be in the Himalayas.

If I had something to lean over, I think I could make it.

Mouseybrown60 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:59:22

iI use a rollator cost about £50 so as can get to a local shop..

MissAdventure Thu 11-Aug-22 23:49:21

Well, that is exactly my problem, word for word.
I hadnt even thought of hauling myself onto the bus, actually.

I know I can't get to the stop as there is nowhere to rest.

Mouseybrown60 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:48:04

Mind not ind

Mouseybrown60 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:47:13

I love a to do list. It organises my brain. I caught the habit from my late husband who kept a pad and pen on kitchen table and every morning he would write his. I still have his last pad which I treasure.

They do say (whoever "they" are) that lists are good for your mental health.
Being able to tick things off, a sense of achievement, and so on.

Mouseybrown60 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:35:22

Which will be just about everything!

Mouseybrown60 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:33:49

I am going to write things on my not to do list.

Cabbie21 Thu 11-Aug-22 23:27:59

I need to complete my tax return, but I have been putting it off. It keeps sliding off the bottom of my list.
Too hot for housework, but anything vaguely energetic will be done before 11 am. Then I will list what I have done so I can cross it off.
August is a month with few commitments but I seem to have done nothing in the way of extra jobs for the first ten days .

Went around town first thing for a couple of hours, suddenly felt light headed then spent rest of day with a form of heat exhaustion! Intend to sit outside at 10pm to feel cooler and watch the stars.

Blossoming Thu 11-Aug-22 20:37:51

I don’t have a to do list since I retired ?

MissAdventure Thu 11-Aug-22 20:32:30

Writing a to do list is on my to do list.

crazyH Thu 11-Aug-22 20:30:29

HettyBetty I do that

Zonne Thu 11-Aug-22 20:26:05

No, but when I’m having a very bad day, I’ve been known to start mine ‘write a to-do list’ to guarantee there’s one thing that will be achieved.

HettyBetty Thu 11-Aug-22 19:51:05

Does anyone do something not on the list, then write it down for the satisfaction of crossing off immediately?

Or is that just me?

Had a hairdresser's appointment this morning, so that was the morning gone. Sorted a leak in the kitchen. Well, DH did - I had to hold things on top while he fiddled underneath, and run hot then cold water to check all was functioning properly. Then we had to clean up the kit hen floor. I deadheaded the petunias in one of the window boxes. Hadn't touched it for a week - it took me nearly three-quarters of an hour! Haven't done anything else - kitchen and bathroom will still be there tomorrow.

MiniMoon Thu 11-Aug-22 14:48:59

Did it all yesterday. New fridge freezer delivered and SiL made the cabinet the old one was removed from into a cupboard with shelves.
Therefore I cleared out all my canned and bottled goods from the kitchen cabinets, washed them and reorganised everything.
Today I'm having a chill out day before the arrival of DGS3 who is coming for a sleepover.

timetogo2016 Thu 11-Aug-22 13:42:32

Nothing at all,it`s too hot and anything that needs doing will be still there tomorrow.

HowVeryDareYou Thu 11-Aug-22 13:26:13

I've done the washing
vacuumed
cleaned the bathroom

I ought to clean out the cutlery drawer, but I'll do it tomorrow. It's too hot for anything else.
