Todays list is;

Ironing
Market fruit & veg.
Collect parcel.
Phone contracts to sort
Confirm & print out France accommodations.

Meeting a friend in the pub at 7pm. Otherwise not a lot, as it is too hot.

Too hot to do anything much, and in any case I’m concentrating on getting my strength back after covid and then full blown flu. So think covid fatigue and then double it?

So my list is sitting around, eating well and relaxing?

I don't have the excuse of illness but it's definitely too hot for much. I'm sitting with curtains closed and a fan blowing on me. I haven't eaten much and the thought of putting the oven on has made me decide to get a take-away! The meat I was planning to roast has a long enough use by date so it can wait for a cooler day.

Like Whitewavemark2, I am getting over Covid so not doing very much. I'm out of isolation, and DH was asked to go fishing with a friend for a few days, so I can at last peek my face out of the bedroom. I did take the dog for a short walk, did some laundry, but that's about it.

I have basically failed dreadfully all week at doing anything because work has taken over completely this week . Hopefully I can catch up this weekend

My goodness, I’m feeling so much better after writing initially on the 11th Aug.

So before the heat I will clean out fridge, clean oven and work tops in kitchen.

Tomorrow I will venture out with the dog early am - first time since 25th July ?. And before that I was covid bound 23rd June to 11th July, so practically the whole of the summer!! I shall be extra extra careful though and keep away from folk.

Reading that covid knocks your immune system for 6 so masks are the way to go I think.

Small Aldi shop and now exhausted! Read lecky and gas metres , colour hair if I have the energy . Clean out fridge which seems to get mucky very quickly . I've got cancer and ha ving counciling ATM. My problem is always saying I am OK and doing too much apparently . I'm trying to be truthful and say that somedays I feel completely wiped out ! The heat doesn't help !

I have several admin tasks I've been putting off so must get down to it now the weather is a bit cooler.
Open new bank account - Brexit related
Sort out new will - Brexit related
Book a scan - old age related
Sort out tax situation - too much procrastination
It's a Bank Hol here tomorrow so can put things off for one more day smile

Lovely start to my week 'dog sitting' for 10 days for family in Abingdon on Thames. Early walk at 7 a.m. with pup. Bus into town for coffee and cake now. Visitors for the rest of the week, so chilling out today!

Collecting a 3 pack of bras from M&S, and returning the one I bought the other day, which wasn’t exactly what I wanted but was all I could find among the squillions they had.

Should have looked online first, I know, but when you have a huge M&S a short (free!) bus ride away…..

Witzend Mon 15-Aug-22 10:38:04

Oh, and applying for an ESTA for a visit to my sister in Cape Cod in September.
But I might put it off until tomorrow - I loathe all admin and paperwork!

Do washing, hang it out
Do my roots
Do ironing

Feeling very virtuous..... Planned to paint the garage doors today but did it yesterday. Whimsical indeed (but feels good!)
