David Cassidy was my first poster pinup, I used to tape all the songs off the TV when The Partridge Family was on. I hung a microphone over the TV and my whole family had to stay quiet! My brother often didn't oblige.
Then I moved onto Roger Taylor of Queen, the hair, his eyes mmm.

Donny Osmond and David Essex.

I fell out with my dad when he wouldn’t take me to London in the days when the Osmonds were met by huge crowds at Heathrow. It was the time when a wall collapsed so had a lucky escape really. Still like Donny to this day.

Beatles mainly. I had over 1000 pics of them, not all on the wall!. Also some other 60s stars. Billy J Kramer, The Hollies (for Tony Hicks), The Merseybeats, Walker Brothers etc.

I was a huge David Cassidy fan and the Bay City Rollers. They took up most of my wall. I used to tear pages out of the Jackie magazine and stuck them to the wall.

Shazza, Snap! Jackie was the go to magazine for pin up posters. I'm a bit older than you, my pin ups were Peter Frampton, Dave Dee and Justin Hayward. ???

David Essex (no need to explain why) and the Bay City Rollers which went with my tartan bedding and knickers

MissAdventure Fri 12-Aug-22 21:01:09

Marc Bolan, Alice Cooper, and sorry, but Gary Glitter.

Not that I was allowed posters in my room.
I had to put them up in the shed!

I had a couple of big Toulouse Lautrec posters and my favourite painting in the world - Breughel's Hunters In The Snow.

Jane43 Fri 12-Aug-22 21:28:13

You are obviously all much younger than me and teenagers in the sixties whereas I was a teenager in the fifties. I had a full length poster of Elvis in my bedroom; there was a magazine - Valentine - that had parts of the poster each week. I also had posters of Ricky Nelson and The Everly Brothers on my bedroom wall.

Oh Davy Jones all the way. I felt as though I knew him because he came from Manchester.

Black Sabbath, The Doors, David Bowie and Frank Zappa. I wasn’t allowed to paint my bedroom black!
