Good morning all from a misty Glasgow. I'm late to the party today, because I had to go out for the papers, as I would not allow DH to drive after his whisky tasting adventure. My routine (I am a creature of habit) is all over the place!
I suspect he had more to drink than he has let on, he snored (very loudly) all night, so I had little sleep!
As I tried to cross the busy main road to the shop, someone called my name. It was someone I had been at school and university with 50+ years ago! So of course I was forced to chat.
Yesterday was an unexpectedly pleasant day. I went to do a small shop in Tesco and a stroll (on my own) around TKMAXX. (Where I picked up a £90 Ralph Lauren dress for £9!) Pants, eat your hear out!
I bumped into lots of people I know, including my son's former English teacher, who was also an ex colleague.
I hadn't seen her in over twenty years!
She paid me the loveliest of compliments, saying, I loved your children and working with you!. ? I was really touched.
It took me forever to get round Silverburn, I had to keep sitting down, so much so that DH was panicking. I ended up putting on live location, so that he would know I was OK. I came home on a high!
While DH was out, I got a call from DIL, saying Dollie had lost her old Ipod, did we have it? I eventually found it jammed under her car seat, so charged it up and took it with all the other items, she had abandoned up to DS1's. They were in the garden, and that is where I spent a pleasant evening, until DS2 messaged to say that DH was on the train. Note:DH didn't message me to say he was on the train! ?
Then I got a message from DH, saying the train had broken down. So there I was sitting outside the sation, in the dark, waiting for an uncommunicative DH!!!
To my horror, I found that driving in the dark, is no longer an option for me! I haven't driven in the dark, since I started sheilding and found it so difficult to see.
dragonfly, I hope you have a lovely time tonight. Susan, Dollie has constant nosebleeds and we have to carry a supply of cotton wool, whenever we go out. She now has some sort of cream to put inside her nose.
Ash, I thougt you might be interested in this programme about "Allo, Allo!"
Have a good day all , whatever your plans.
