My aunt Lil, at an older sort of age, decided to get fit, and bought an exercise bike.

She got on and started peddling, and was doing really well, then the bike collapsed and she fell off, and broke her hip'

I was walking to work one morning and as I got nearer I found 20pds on the ground...I thought to myself I will buy the girls I work with our brekki when we stop at the break...My boss asked me why I was so cheery looking and stupidly I said that I'd found 20pds...She replied that she has lost a 20pd note and as I was scared of her I handed it over....What a mug I was as I knew fine it wasn't hers...angry

My mum and I were mooching around our "shopping centre" (about 10 shops!) when a woman had some sort of fit.

I administered first aid, and sent my mum off to phone an ambulance.

Then the security guards came, then an ambulance, with a crowd of shoppers hanging about.

The woman was taken off to hospital, and so on, and then the guards helped us into a taxi home.

When we got in to mums, we had all of the womens bags of shopping as well! blush

Cash machines have been around for quite a while now!

They have. I remember one when I was 19. The numbers were stuck on the keypad and peeled off. Some hooligan moved them all around.

Cash machines when you were young?

Have you ever been in a situation where it backfired on you?

I remember finishing work as a young adult at 8pm and going to the cash machine hoping I had enough to get the last bus home. It was pretty quiet in town but there was a lady in front of me at the machine. She very suddenly power walked away and just as I was about to put my card in, some money popped out. I ran after her with it calling "excuse me!" And after I caught up she started shouting at me and it took several " you forgot your money" until she looked at what I was holding in my hand. She then snatched it without even a thank you and stormed off.

Picture me, skinny as a rake, long blond hair, not particularly scary back then.

There wasn't enough in my account and I walked 4 miles home. That good deed backfired lol
