Yes it does give the same BMI but it categorises the BMIs differently and interprets the results differently.

Oh yes to all of these!

Another one is don’t eat chocolate. It makes your clothes shrink ?.

So does sea air, when you're on a cruise ship.

My DD and I chose a large slice of cake each in a cafe. The man behind us said "do you know there are no calories in those cakes between the hours of 2 and 4 pm." How I wish that was true.

What a fun thread, thank you. LOL.

the first one is true for me, since getting all my groin lymph nodes removed i have been left with swollen feet, thighs, tummy and pubic area and it is all water, i need to take water pills every day and be careful how much i drink, this was awful during the hot weather but thankfully i live in scotland so it should be okay for most of the year..lol

I'm usually thin and gorgeous, but today is my day off!

4 year old grandson was staying over and, while eating his breakfast, said to me " Granny, you're a bit fat". As there was a tinge of surprise in his voice, I took comfort from the fact it couldn't be that bad if he'd only just noticed it. Will leave it to my daughter to explain such observations are usually best kept to oneself . ?

I’ve shrunk 3 cms in height, which is why my middle is more substantial.

I was asked on my height by a nurse at the hospital the other week - when I told her she said "we'll knock an inch off that, shall we?"

Callistemon21 I love how they give us the news.

The lovely nurse measured me and asked me what my height was. I said ‘165 cms’.

She answered ‘ It’s not now’.

Callistemon21 Mon 22-Aug-22 12:05:25

Oh dear.

I'm not fat, I just need stretching up again!

We were on holiday recently.
Our slender five year old granddaughter looked at all the adults one day and announced, "When I grow up I want a sticky-out tummy as well" ??

" It's nice you have a cushion tummy nana ! "
So much better than partner saying "that dress makes you look lumpy and bumpy "!

For narrowboatman, a Smart BMI calculator. www.smartbmicalculator.com/bmi-and-age.html

Thanks for that, Blossoming. Most useful xx
