Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dry cool start here in brackley this morning ,and plan an easy day in.
Last week I had a letter ,as regards to seeing a specialist , appointment yet to made , hoping I can the Hospital which is easier for me to get to .
Its seems she/he will advise on my medication ,and make changes if need be .
It seems having the look into my stomach has been scrapped if new medication or routine can work better.
Mind you , since I changed my own routine of when I take what I have , I have not collapsed or blacked out for over 12 weeks .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a sunny Isi Leicestershire.
( see my glass is half full kitty)

Had a lovely meeting with the ladies from the breast cancer FB group on Saturday. It is such a pleasure to talk to people who understand.

Today we are going to the funeral of a golfing friend and neighbour.

Wishing everyone a good day!

Good morning Mick and all from the Scottish Borders.
I hope the doctor's plans for you keep you out of hospital. Sounds like you are already doing the right things
The family party yesterday was perfect apart from one DS and family on holiday but they appeared on video! The rain kept off so there was even a BBQ. I set the DGC to picking my plums and the cousins played happily.

It's fun watching your progress BlueSapphire ..
That was a nasty fright Marydoll
Have a good day everyone and rain if required!

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and wet. I'm happier in cooler temperatures. Susan have a lovely time. I don't know what possessed you! I've never been a fan of camping since my time in the guides. Grandmattie I'm another who will swap you rain for jam. I do make my own but I've never made damson jam.
Yesterday was a restful day. Food shopping then pottering. I didn't do any painting so I will have to do some today. Have a good day all.

Good morning all from the Black country, washing on need to get it out before my new neighbour lights another fire. Our recycling is really good here but he insists on keep having fires, we have spoke to him but he doesn't listen.
Trip to local shops to do a top up and see what Aldi have in the middle aisle.
Must go there's a spider in bathroom needs attending to before I get a shout from DH.
Enjoy your Monday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from a cool, grey Durham. I am waiting till 9am to ring about my central heating timer which has packed in. I’m going away today and because of the BH weekend, the first date I can have it looked at is 31/8, so no heating or hot water ‘til then.
My friend is back in hospital this morning, hopefully to have her brain operation that was cancelled last week.
Wishing everyone a good week.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s cool and cloudy with yet more rain forecast.

Good to hear that your new medication routine has been successful for you Mick.

We may take a jaunt down the coast today, perhaps a visit to Culzean Castle, daft dug loves a run around the beach there.

Have the best day possible everyone.

aggie Mon 22-Aug-22 08:15:40

Morning all, been raining in the night , maybe the water butts are topped up ,
I hope it stays dry for a while , we are hoping that a neighbour can drop in for coffee later , but first a dash to Lidl
My heart did a jump as I was reading about your near miss Marydoll , take it easy today woman !!!

Greyduster Mon 22-Aug-22 08:16:43

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The weather varies this morning depending on which window you look out of but we have had some rain overnight. Oven cleaning today after yesterday’s roast pork made a horrible mess of it - a small price to pay! The crackling was superb (don’t tell my dentist!). DD and her menfolk are off to the coast today for a few days to finish off the summer holidays. I have been left in charge of the Guinea pigs!! Apparently they like to be read to - SiL has recommended a suitable book (I absolutely know he is winding me up!).
Have the best day you can folks!

Good morning all from an overcast East Midlands, it is dry at the moment but that could change.
I hope Mick is able to get his hospital appointment organised. Not sure what I will be doing today, being temporarily disabled has its challenges but there's nothing wrong with my hands and brain, as I always say.
Our French beans are all finished, onions are lifted as are the potatoes. We have a few later runner beans so still picking those, blackberries are done and a second crop of beetroot are doing nicely. Picking tomatoes and cucumbers daily. and sharing with the neighbours.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care.

SunshineSally Mon 22-Aug-22 08:24:33

Good morning everyone from an overcast and drizzly south Hants.
I’ve not posted on here for a little while so apologies. Life has been a little fraught of late so fingers am keeping fingers crossed that life will settle down ?

I’ve not read any posts yet but am just about to take DDog for his eagerly awaited walk so hope to come back later on.
Have the best day you can.
Hugs to all ??

Good morning from a dull & grey but dry Sefton - despite the forecast of rain.
Dgd (aged 4) spent yesterday afternoon 'watering' the garden with a watering can almost as big as her & filling it from the water butt so that forecast rain is not quite as essential.

Singing group this morning. It is singing for pleasure for non singers - so very not a choir! But we all enjoy it. Singing is good for the soul (if not the ears in our case).

Wishing everyone a peaceful week.

grandMattie Mon 22-Aug-22 08:39:36

Some of the jam…

Jaxjacky Mon 22-Aug-22 08:45:54

Yesss SunshineSally just noticed the drizzle, I hope it changes to rain, for hours.
That made me laugh Greyduster ?
Yes please grandMattie jam is a rare treat, fancy that on a crumpet or two.

harrigran Mon 22-Aug-22 08:59:59

Good morning from a grey NE where we have drizzle.
Walked to the postbox before 8am and it was mild. SIL reminded me that there are to be postal strikes so it was important to get a birthday card in the post today.
Family sent photos of them swimming in the sea in Wales yesterday, it looked a little cool for my liking but the young ones are more resilient.
SIL and I sorted out the wine cellar yesterday and I made a note of what we had, hopefully will stop me from making random purchases.
We prepared dinner together, lobster with mayonnaise and then duck breast in plum sauce served with courgette Provencal and green beans. We had a small glass of rose wine with the lobster and an Aloxe Corton with the duck, it was superb.
DD has arranged for parcels to be delivered here, it is her DH's birthday next week but she does not arrive in the UK until Thursday.
Quiet day for me as I have a painful back.

TopsyIrene06 Mon 22-Aug-22 09:07:07

Wouldn't I love to experience Harrigran's gourmet meals and wine. Simply the best.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 17°C. I’m glad you enjoyed your day out Mick.

I have a dentist appointment today, a routine check up. I’m not anticipating any problems. I’m another one who used to dread visits to the dentist after a bad experience. No more, my current dentist is lovely.

Have the best day possible all ???

hollysteers Mon 22-Aug-22 09:13:11

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. Hope your health remains stable Mick.
Tired after day trip to Stratford upon Avon yesterday but it was worth it, haven’t been for ages and this time followed a town trail and took in Shakespeare’s school and Guildhall. Asked to guess the age of a trunk, I said 1450 and it was 1470, so surprised myself there!
I grew up visiting Speke Hall Nannagarra, another lovely historic place.
Shakespeare statue.

Good morning from Carnoustie, rainy weather at present. Hopefully able to go golfing today. Had lesson 3 weeks ago now I cannot hit the ball to save myself, so frustrating.

Kalu Mon 22-Aug-22 10:11:48

Good morning all from Glasgow where it is a cool 14deg. I took advantage of the sun suddenly appearing yesterday to hang out bed linen.

DD1 and both girls joined us in the garden for a visit after their Waitrose shopping. As DD has discovered the joy of gardening during the pandemic, she is always on the lookout for any cuttings we can spare, she left with three different clumps of sedum, easy for beginners. ?

Much love and best wishes to all for a good day ahead.

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 22-Aug-22 10:13:10

Good Morning all from cloudy Harrogate.
Another one for your Damson Jam GrandMattie!
I finished my excellent book last night - The Four Winds, by Kristin Hannah, the 2nd book of hers that I've read. The first was 'The Nightingale' an excellent read, very exciting. I shall have to look for a 3rd book!
Glad the NHS are looking after you Mick, even if you've found the answer yourself!
What a fright for you Marydoll that would be enough to give me a heart attack!!!
Lovely photos BlueSapphire
To my knowledge I've never been to Speke Hall, must remedy that, it looks lovelyNannagarra
Today I shall be going on the Nidd Trail of Artists with a couple of friends. We are going to the very pretty town of Pateley Bridge. I'm looking forward to it!
Have the best day possible folks.
